  1. Yeah this one of the most interesting things they've done just for how un WWE it is. The company famous for beating you over the head with things doing an angle entirely via word of mouth on social media. Not gonna lie, if it is something Bray related I'm kind of interested in what his stuff will look like in this new world. Everything he did started off really interesting before petering out. Was it because Bray didn't really have any ideas other than how to kick off a new gimmick? Was it because Vince liked it and started fucking with it until it was trash? I wouldn't mind finding out.
  2. If you're talking about "Jane", she wasn't part of Jefferson Starship by that point.
  3. This was reported first as being done off-air during Raw, and now it seems WWE is doing this at the houseshows this weekend as well. The lights go dark, the song plays briefly, and then everything goes back to normal like nothing happened. Fans are doing the Bray Wyatt firefly deal when it happens, but Karrion Kross acknowledged a tweet pointing out that was his Lucha Underground gimmick,
  4. WCW had a lot of great outdoor shows, plus the spring break Nitros were always fun.
  5. One of the coolest shows I ever attended was a JCP house show here in like 1987 or so where they opened the roof of the Civic/Mellon Arena here which didn't happen very often.
  6. Outdoor venues are great visually, but they can pose a challenge for the wrestlers. There's been more than one AAA show where the ropes got wet and caused chaos, like what happened when AEW was doing pandemic shows outside.
  7. He definitely was a draw in the sense of "big star from another world enters MMA, how will he do", but I got the impression that was all gone after he got starched by ham n eggers.
  8. I can't imagine all parties weren't given a million admonishments to STFU until the whole investigation/legal process works itself out. Still, if there's one person who would say something anyway....
  9. The thing about going to streaming services is while you'll probably get a buttload of money for it, you're going to have a pretty big loss of viewability. Major League Soccer just signed an exclusive deal starting next year with Apple TV, which is going to make them a lot of money, but instead of having the reach of ESPN and Fox (their former partners) they will have the much smaller Apple TV audience.
  10. Good lord, Braun and Otis in a MEGA MEATY MATCH next week.
  11. Corey must have a tab open to PWO while calling the show with him mentioning that higher ups in WWE thing Moss can be a player.
  12. Also lol at Hunter turning NXT back into the de facto third brand right after the "they beat our developmental brand, good for them" comment.
  13. Speaking of CAWs. Liv at all times backstage looks like she's from a video game cutscene.
  14. My dude out here looking like he just came out of the dojo with Shibata.
  15. Heyman gonna smash Logan verbally before Roman smashes him physically.
  16. I guess Heyman got to raid Vince's suit collection when he left.
  17. I get it, but that's when Punk has to be the bigger man and handle his business backstage and not seize the opportunity to use the build to a PPV as a chance to call someone a bitch who's not involved in what you're out there to set up. I suppose on paper both are unprofessional, but a vague reference and a direct "you aint got the balls" callout are entirely different levels IMO. I get he had time to stew due to injury, but maybe if Punk just goes to Page backstage like "what the fuck was that?" or maybe bring it up to Tony, all the rest of this doesn't happen. If he wants to be the locker room veteran leader he seems to see himself as, he went the exact opposite way he should have in handling this. That's what kills me about all this, dude wants to be a respected voice all the youngins come to for advice while also turning potential teachable moments into opportunities to shit on his co workers. Even if he's 100% right in his frustration you gotta be better than that.
  18. The wildest part of that is depending on Darby's activities that day, Sting might be the one in the best physical shape.
  19. Hunter has been pretty friendly with Dave on all the NXT conference calls they did, not surprising he's not sticking with the Vince mindset on this.
  20. Yeah it seems like perhaps the Elite thought they could fuck around because up to that point it seemed that being free of WWE had mellowed Punk out, and they ended up finding out.
  21. In a matter where only like 1% of folks knew wtf he was talking about when he did it. The one thing that has remained consistent this whole time has been Punk taking either perceived or very small slights and turning them into nuclear warfare.
  22. Yeah, it's common knowledge the Elite talks Dave, but the moment Punk signed everyone's immediate reaction (well the one after "holy shit") was "what is AEW going to do about having Colt on the roster". Everyone knew it was going to be a potential issue, and Punk having a preplanned rant about it that didn't even get sidetracked by the reporter he called on not playing ball stopped it from happening. Even if the Elite was telling tales to Dave, does anyone think it wouldn't have still ended up an issue having those two in the same company?
  23. Is it though? His main beef was shot down by Dave and SRS, so unless you think all of wrestling media is conspiring against him it doesn't seem like he's becoming more right at all. You can make the case that the idea that Punk is 100% a villain has changed, but he's still the guy that came into the press conference with the goal of going on a rant and shit all over the company he works for.
  24. What happened with Charlotte I wonder? They did that whole injury angle so she could take time off to get married, and Andade's been back for weeks now.
  25. He looks like Dexter Lumis's little brother in that photo.
