  1. So in that sense he's working exactly like Lionheart.
  2. I love that Anna Jay is the Suzuki of the JAS and just chokes out randos now.
  3. Absolutely, it's a dream match that was never allowed to happen due to lucha politics BS.
  4. Says a lot that his pro wrestling career (which would be the highlight section of most people's lives), is not even in the top three most interesting things about him. Since he was Ronda's mentor as well, it's mindblowing to think a current pro wrestler was taught by a direct student of Ed "Strangler" Lewis.
  5. I don't know about Danielson, but we're getting Lucha Bros vs Los Ingobernales and it's going to be fucking awesome.
  6. lol no one's going to get ban hammered. It was a poor joke and you seem to have realized it. Probably didn't help that sexual harassment is not the best topic to joke about regarding WWE considering.... *again gestures broadly*
  7. I could have sworn people at the time saying it was done because they didn't think his punches looked good or something, but I suppose it was just part of the anti Roman backlash.
  8. From the WO site: Judo Gene LeBell, best known for his catch wrestling technique that later became an influence in both pro wrestling and mixed martial arts, has passed away at 89 years old. Bas Rutten wrote on Facebook that LeBell had passed away. “My deepest condolences to his lovely wife Midge, his kids and all his other family members and friends,” he wrote. “You will be greatly missed Gene, I love you my friend, till we meet again!” LeBell started catch wrestling at the age of 7, training under Ed “Strangler” Lewis and later trained in judo. He was also trained by the likes of Karl Gotch and Lou Thesz. In 1963, he accepted a challenge to fight boxer Milo Savage in an early mixed martial arts bout that saw LeBell score the win with a rear naked choke. In pro wrestling, he helped ran NWA's Los Angeles territory, NWA Hollywood Wrestling, from 1968 through 1982. The territory was owned by Mike LeBell, Gene's brother. He also served as the referee for the Muhammad Ali/Antonio Inoki match that took place in 1976. He wrestled his final pro wrestling match in 1981, against Peter Maivia in NWA Hollywood Wrestling.
  9. Didn't the seizure inducing camera cuts start when the Shield started to make sure viewers never saw Roman botch anything?
  10. That vignette seemed to be repackaging Toxic as a tag team, and I could see Mandy willing to go back to the main roster now thanks to.... well *gestures broadly*.
  11. Feels like the Heatwave show is going to be a blowoff for a lot of folks. Santos, Mandy Rose, Cameron Grimes, Roddy Strong all are in angles that could also serve to write them out. If so, I think it's a good time to do it. The initial 2.0 class seems ready enough to carry the show now and the folks starting off now can get more time.
  12. Hmmm, setting up Santos Escobar moving to the main roster?
  13. MAGA Thee Stallion got those white circles around here eyes like a certain someone......
  14. That was Allison Danger/Cathy Corino. Also I know the Aussie talent like Jonah and Steph De Lander were left in limbo not able to work until they got visas since theirs were provided by WWE.
  15. Didn't they fire a bunch of people Hunter was training to be production when they did the Great Purge post black and gold era?
  16. you know, I wouldn't be opposed to the Way getting back together on the main roster.
  17. If you didn't know Hunter was in charge, you would know after seeing someone come out in a Harley Race robe.
  18. WWE gonna turn Dom heel just from everyone wishing Rhea was choking them out instead.
  19. Finn snacks on danger and dines on death!
  20. KO out here mopping up the last of the mess Vince left behind.
  21. Also Ciampa being allowed to talk. Apparently a promo he did for something on Youtube knocked the socks off of everyone.
  22. Dom saying he's 25 had me doing the math and he was born in 1997 when Rey was tearing it up in WCW. I feel so goddamn old now.
  23. Reminds me of the meme I saw saying Rey's been in WWE so long he worked with two generations of Guerreros and one pic was with Eddie and the other with Dom
  24. I love that I would like to see a one on one match with any combo of those two teams.
