  1. That vignette seemed to be repackaging Toxic as a tag team, and I could see Mandy willing to go back to the main roster now thanks to.... well *gestures broadly*.
  2. Feels like the Heatwave show is going to be a blowoff for a lot of folks. Santos, Mandy Rose, Cameron Grimes, Roddy Strong all are in angles that could also serve to write them out. If so, I think it's a good time to do it. The initial 2.0 class seems ready enough to carry the show now and the folks starting off now can get more time.
  3. Hmmm, setting up Santos Escobar moving to the main roster?
  4. MAGA Thee Stallion got those white circles around here eyes like a certain someone......
  5. That was Allison Danger/Cathy Corino. Also I know the Aussie talent like Jonah and Steph De Lander were left in limbo not able to work until they got visas since theirs were provided by WWE.
  6. Didn't they fire a bunch of people Hunter was training to be production when they did the Great Purge post black and gold era?
  7. you know, I wouldn't be opposed to the Way getting back together on the main roster.
  8. If you didn't know Hunter was in charge, you would know after seeing someone come out in a Harley Race robe.
  9. WWE gonna turn Dom heel just from everyone wishing Rhea was choking them out instead.
  10. Finn snacks on danger and dines on death!
  11. KO out here mopping up the last of the mess Vince left behind.
  12. Also Ciampa being allowed to talk. Apparently a promo he did for something on Youtube knocked the socks off of everyone.
  13. Dom saying he's 25 had me doing the math and he was born in 1997 when Rey was tearing it up in WCW. I feel so goddamn old now.
  14. Reminds me of the meme I saw saying Rey's been in WWE so long he worked with two generations of Guerreros and one pic was with Eddie and the other with Dom
  15. I love that I would like to see a one on one match with any combo of those two teams.
  16. It could be good if they booked it as the undeserving heels who keep failing upward and/or cheat to win.
  17. To be fair, he's trying to restart the Hunterverse here
  18. So do you think they'll announce Sasha and Naomi for the women's tag title tournament, or have them come out at the Castle show to challenge the winners? Dave was talking about it, and I think it comes down to what's more important to Paul. If he feels important to send the message that Vince's reign of terror is over, you should have them open Raw tonight. Those two were the embodiment of a whole company's worth of frustrations with Vince and that would be H's ultimate "drop your dick on the table and mark your territory" move. Conversely, having them return in front of a legit 70,000 people losing their shit would be pretty damn good for business. It would set them up as top stars who are a really big deal, and the story books itself. You don't have to do anything but stand there and it's 100% clear what everyone's motivations are. Not only would it be cathartic for everyone involved, you could have an actual money angle on your hands with a minimal amount of effort. Weirdly enough I could see points for either way. I can't say Paul would be wrong choosing option 1, as building confidence with the roster is an essential part of not only righting the ship now, but to mend any ill will when it comes to chasing folks from AEW. If they can clear all doubts that it's a new day in WWE (yes it is!), it'd probably be a better thing for them business wise in the long term.
  19. Funny how Vince getting booted will almost certainly cause WWE to put out a better product can (and probably will when AEW signs their new TV deal) gets us back to having two national companies both putting out their best possible efforts to outdo each other. You wanna know why both Raw and Nitro were getting millions of people watching every week? That was it right there. Yeah, TV habits certainly changed but that's why it wasn't fair to compare that to the people watching now when you have an upstart company getting itself established as a legit competitor and building name recognition vs the de facto wrestling company that has been in a creative rut for 2 decades.
  20. Wow, Okada putting over Jonah like Inoki put over Vader. The crowd forgetting the no cheering rules and going nuts when they started realizing this might actually be happening was a legit star making moment.
  21. Not really much to add other than when it comes to getting to the heart of the matter, no one comes close to Australians
  22. Carlos Colon was still actively getting involved in angles up until very recently (I got out of the habit of watching WWC regularly when the hurricanes basically shut them down for a long time), and as bad as he looked doing it he might as well be Bryan Danielson when compared to Flair.
  23. Jamie Hayter got her nose broken in the match it seems, no doubt by a stray sandbag
  24. Interesting "worlds colliding" moment for me right now: watching the local soccer boys Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC against the Indy Eleven, and the announcers used the mid game hydration break to discuss Pat McAfee beating Happy Corbin. The connection being Pat is apparently a Hounds fan and of course is a hero in Indy.
