  1. Time for the Creeds to toss fools all over here the place.
  2. I never expected Lash and Pretty Deadly to work so well together but they do and it rules.
  3. Melo vs Rico slapped, unsurprisingly. Also the NXT parking lot is still more dangerous than a war zone.
  4. Also bubba @KawadaSmilewas right, Riddle better ask Cody for Arn's number because he's going to need to bring the glock after Rollins punked him the hell out.
  5. Yeah I was thinking how both Sheamus and Drew losing would be deflating to the UK crowd and I'm on the other side of the pond. I get Drew losing for storyline purposes (especially with Baby Uce debuting), but they could have called an audible with Sheamus. It wouldn't have hurt Gunther to lose a brutal match like that and it would have exploded the stadium.
  6. It would be amazing if the Bloodline keeps adding cousins until there's an army of A'noai coming out at Mania.
  7. Roman's entrance is one of the few in WWE that feels like Important Shit is about to happen.
  8. Watching on a delay, and I'm dying at how Edge looks like Delirious in that mask.
  9. Is there some significance to the red blazers Corey and Byron are wearing, or did they just both decide to dress like 80s WWF announcers?
  10. That's far I suppose, but the idea that a smaller guy absolutely can't be seen as a believable wrestler, let alone a star, I think is a direct WWE Brain symptom. It's often a self-fulfilling prophecy for when WWE squanders someone talented because they didn't fit the narrow idea of what they consider a star. If WWE didn't think they were a star, then they can't be a star somewhere else. Then when that person *does* become a star elsewhere, it goes against what daddy Vince taught them.
  11. Sami dancing to the Usos' music is amazing.
  12. Butch and Kaiser beating the piss out of each other is a nice appetizer for Sheamus and GOONTA tomorrow.
  13. Man, they are totally going to have Kross interfere in the Reigns/Drew match aren't they?
  14. Scarlett blowing herself up doing the entrance made me lol
  15. Yeah but they both are like a buck fifty each. If alternate universe Conor entered pro wrestling instead of MMA, WWE Brains would be screaming how unbelievable him winning matches would be.
  16. MMA pretty much destroyed the myth of only chiseled Adonises can be ass kickers. The biggest PPV draws are Floyd Mayweather and Conor MacGregor who are small dudes. It's one thing when Rey was debuting amongst the giants, but we've had nearly 30 years of smaller guys in wrestling so it's really crazy to me people are still stuck on this.
  17. Blood with turn off the casuals! Won't someone think of the casuals! Loss made a great point on Twitter that Casual Wrestling Fans are like the mythical unicorn voters that all politicians are courting after/afraid to offend that no one can actually point to existing. Hopefully we won't see this as much with Vince gone, but I get tired of the "stupid WWE gimmick names don't matter, they're just names" as if it wasn't the #1 branding a wrestler has and a poor one can negatively effect their career path. The Rock would never have been as big as...well The Rock if he was never allowed to evolve past being Blue Chipper Rocky Miavia.
  18. Also the belief (which mostly comes from the Russophiles) that long matches are Actually Bad and hurt business in the long run. It will be interesting to see how this plays out considering Uncle Paul is having longer matches on his shows now.
  19. If someone isn't 6'3 and jacked, then they aren't a real pro wrestler and are just "cosplaying". That particular nugget seems to have stuck with people more than anything,
  20. The boss shouldn't be so blunt though. His job is to emphasize strengths and hide weaknesses. It doesn't do anyone any favors to be all "well we all know Rosa sucks at promos, but what can you do? Amirite?" There's a middle ground between being that and super buzzword-empty weasel words though. I will say that particular promo was probably done backstage due to the circumstances more than anything else. She had been given the chance to cut promos in front of the live crowd before though, and most of them died a death.
  21. They did Lucha Brothers vs Los Ingobernales, which both AAA and CMLL would have killed for (well maybe not CMLL because they hold stupid grudges forever).
  22. I mean, even if he is it's still driving numbers for the company....so.....good? If he was dragging them down, I'd understand the resentment but he's been nothing but positive business wise. Seems like people are mad that AEW is being run as a business and not a a magical fantasyland.
  23. I mean, AEW as an entity was willed into existence due to the growing base of pro wrestling fans who were beyond tired with WWE's hamster wheel of the last 20 years. What better person to lead that charge than the guy famous for being sick of WWE's bullshit? Like the only difference between Punk and Moxley is that Mox didn't have a very public falling out with his best friend.
  24. It's one thing to not like CM Punk, but AEW has been back over a million viewers since he's returned, crowds are hot, and the angle to build the Mox match (as quickly as it had to be done) was fire. To say his signing was in any way a detriment to the company is some real galaxy brain thinking at this point.
  25. She became a star because Nia busted her face up and she got to have a cool "badass stands bloodied but victorious" moment. She kept it going with her promos, but they weren't the cause of it.
