So how can the virus be real but the pandemic is somehow not? Who are these "best doctors" that only truly galaxy brained folks are aware of? I suppose I should take solace in the fact that it doesn't make any sense to me.

So the United Wrestling Network is the "governing body" created by Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, and they recently announced a world title to go with their tag team and TV titles. The bracket: Watts is a CWFH regular and Peter Avalon is the booker/promoter for their Championship Wrestling from Arizona sister group.

Yeah combining the titles was fine when they were just starting back up, but it seems like it's really going to tie their hands when it comes to booking a two day Dome event.

To put a bow on this, he rubbed a lot of the non-native talent the wrong way and the Elite guys (the Bucks especially) felt that they got disrespected by him on their way out. He clearly didn't think they were worth making money offers to keep, and I personally think he may have been more than a little salty that their company succeeded in the US and his by and large has not. I think the pandemic made people at Bushiroad realize it might not be best for business to have a guy in charge who's antagonistic towards a company that could help them out in the US market.

That red cage is so stupid, but at least now it doesn't matter that no one can see what's happening inside it.

Time for some BIG MEN SLAPPING MEAT

Holy shit, Huskus the Pig quoting Old Dirty Bastard...not what I expected to see on Raw.
-
I love that in the WWE UNIVERSE, if someone is drafted to one show people on the other show will apparently never see them again.

Ali's promo would have been a lot more impactful if the show didn't open with the Fiend running through his group like a bunch of j-brones.

I popped for Big E being in the ThunderDome crowd during the New Day match.
-
Surprised the big man was billed as his real name instead of some wacky WWE one.
-
Yes
-
AJ must have went shopping at the Raw Underground going out of business sale.
-
Retribution threatening a face turn by confronting the Fiend.

Sadly it appears Samoa Joe has been programmed to have a terminal case of WWE Yelling Announcer Voice.
-
New opening for Raw, still silly that a show that runs 52 weeks a year has "season premieres" but whatevs.

Any discussion of Qanon should include the whole thing started from a shitpost on 4chan where they decided a pizza place in DC was secretly a front for child sex trafficking because "cheese pizza" was a euphemism for child porn on that forum because "CP". Obviously any sane person would find that ridiculous on its face, so they realized the far more effective method is to share generalized anti child trafficking hashtags (who could be against that, right?) and have it be a Scientology-like deal where you only find out about the crazy shit once you've already made a large investment emotionally/physically/monetarily and then it becomes an example of sunk cost fallacy.

AEW was clearly trying to have their women's division be mainly based on international talent from the UK and Japan, so of course it's going to take a massive hit in pandemic times. I suppose you could argue they should have been more proactive in getting US based talent once it was clear they wouldn't be able to fly anyone in, but I'm sure they didn't have "a pandemic wiped out all our plans for the women" contingency plan.

Well I don't think Roman is at the level of the Rock right now, just that this heel turn (at least so far) reminds me a lot of how Rock's Nation heel turn was the chance for him to vent his frustrations and show his full personality for the first time. To be sure, a lot of it is because how inept WWE is with babyfaces. Being the Big Boss who has a soft spot for family but at the end of the day business is business is a lot better character to work with than the hero who always falls short.

I can see house shows going away, at least for WWE, post-pandemic. There doesn't seem to be any financial incentive, house shows have been losing money and they company has all their eggs in the TV rights basket. It's long been a "we do it because we've always done it" thing for them so now that they'll have such a long break from them it will be easier to just not go back to it. I could see them doing "special" houseshows that have tradition, like the Christmas week MSG show, but I just don't see them seeing any business reasons to start booking arenas in Podunk towns again any time soon.

This Roman heel turn is giving me vibes of when Rocky first turned heel, and was finally able to go off on all the fools who were shitting on him before. You can just feel Roman has years of venom built up, which is making this character really click on all cylinders. The only risk is having him spit too much truth as a heel and have him fall into "cool heel" territory, but I suppose that's partly why Heyman is there since his character is too slimy to have people get behind.
