In wrestling related news, pretty much everyone in WWE thinks Lars Sullivan is a shithead and of course one of the few people left who supports him is Vince so.....yeah.

Basketball isn't really a popular sport in my city, so I don't have any childhood fondness per see....I'm just a dude who grew up watching the Lakers-Celtics rivalry in the 80s and the Bulls/Knicks/Pistons/Jazz teams of the 90s. It's funny how people hear "Lebron is the best player today, but not better than every other player who ever played" as a statement of hateration. To me it's just a statement based on watching 30 odd years of basketball. I mean, I'm not saying he's trash compared to past players but I don't see any argument putting him above the Jordan/Bird/Dr J level of player.

People who blindly stan Lebron as the GOAT have no idea about basketball pre-2000 and it shows. He's the best of his generation, sure. All time? Nah. He would probably struggle to make the all decade team of any timeframe prior to his debut. His biggest advantage is being the first star to bring the NBA back from the doldrums it was in when pretty much all the big names from the 80s-90s retired at nearly the same time and there were no stars in the league but Kobe.

The cynic in me wonders if he wanted that to leak so Vince would push him.

I know you weren't asking me, but IMO I think this is a better fit for both shows. Raw has historically been the more sports-entertainer-y show and the Fiend's antics seem to work better in that environment. Rey seems a better fit on Smackdown as well, so it appears to be a good move for all concerned.

Yeah I'm guessing they want to keep E's singles run as a separate thing for now, and no sense keeping Woods and Kofi on ice the whole time.

Otis being continually baffled by getting served shouldn't be amusing me as much as it is.

So does this mean Kofi and Woods stay on SD until they lose the titles, or do they work both shows for the time being?

NXT was a pretty good show, but man do they seem snakebit right now. First they had another covid outbreak, then Finn broke his jaw in two places, and tonight Ridge Holland's leg exploded. Oh yea, Teagan got another ACL injury.

It's just backdrop for the angle, and if the cost of getting Jericho to help build the company up as a heel champ is to have Dr. Luther in a match on Dynamite....well I'd be okay with that.

Speaking of Raw segments, I laughed at the Bucks watching TV backstage with their backs to the set and their heads turned around like an owl.

Well by all accounts getting rid of Harold Meij was a huge step in normalizing relations. He pissed off the Elite on their way out and him being the CEO was a major roadblock in the companies working together. I'm sure the rest of the New Japan brass realizes working with AEW will help them build up their US presence and it would be stupid to let one person get in the way of that.

Tanahashi popping up in the Jericho tribute videos will certainly get the rumor mill working overtime about a NJPW/AEW agreement.
