Honestly, the bigger factor was probably Stacy Keibler being on Dancing With the Stars. She was getting the full "look we got one of our folks on a show with mainstream stars!" megapush until the celebrities there smartened her up to what it's like being a star outside of WWE, with actual benefits and standards and whatnot. As soon as that happened it became clear she wasn't going to go back to wrestling and all promotion came to a screeching halt. Ever since then, WWE has taken great pains to make sure they personally curate all exposure of their talent to the mainstream so they don't get to full of themselves.

I would expect Archer to make a big splash for his debut, immediately attacking the champ would seem to be a good way to do it.

I 100% believe if Brock hadn't have gone to UFC and won the title, he would have been on Vince's shit list to this day. He's come closest of anyone in terms of getting a court to call bullshit on WWE's ridiculous contract terms (they tried to keep him from wrestling anywhere in the world when he left WWE to play football). Had he not gone to UFC and activated Vince's "real sports cred" boner, the narrative would probably be he was a spoiled baby who couldn't hack it in WWE.

The best part is wanting the Disney passes and Wrestlemania tickets for 4 when Muta and his family would only be three people. Sonny was trying to get GCW to pay for him to go to both, which is amazingly carny.

Considering the way Japanese business operates, there's zero chance NTV would sell the archive to an American company. They might lease some footage for WWE to use in a documentary or something, but they would never sell something that significant to a non-Japanese company unless they were having major cash flow issues and/or were going out of business.

To be fair, Vince Sr. would never have even thought of jobbing out Andre the way VKM did Braun (or Big Show, or any other giant for that matter).

I get the feeling most, if not all, of the story he told about him and Edge was true and he's just not able to be motivated to try to spin gold with the usual WWE horseshit storylines. Give him something based in reality and he's all in.

Liv's great and all, but those choreographed entrances are just getting more and more ridiculous, especially for the women. After watching NXT where Rhea had to complete her foot stomp before making the save, I just can't take any of it serious.

Game Changer Wrestling just posted a hilariously carny tale of making a deal for the Great Muta to be at Spring Break 4 and be their guest at Wrestlecon, only for Sonny Oono to jump in and claim to be Muta's agent and basically try to work GCW into paying Muta to be at Wrestlecon as Sonny's guest so he could make money off it. They saw the con for what it was and called him on it, and now it's not clear if any of their messages ever got to Muta, and his announced appearances are now off. Sonny apparently went to the effort to make transparently obvious sock puppet accounts on Twitter about it, and GCW put him and all his carny nonsense on blast for the world to see. As Bix put it, the funniest part is finding out Sonny's WCW gimmick was apparently a shoot.

The Miz kids and the Bella kids will be that generation's Usos vs New Day and feud non stop.

It was right up there, IMO. You could make an argument for that or the tag match and I'd be fine with it.

It's amazing how much different a show feels when the stars are allowed to be stars and the focus isn't on the all important BRAND. Everything had meaning and the fans were invested rather than being punished for getting behind the wrong guys.

Excalibur getting in a Worker Ant reference made me chuckle.
