  1. In a well booked company, the Becky stuff would be leading to Ronda being the final boss to avenge her loss. In WWE, she'll probably end up losing in a fluke to some rando on a throwaway B show with no build and be forgotten about the next week.
  2. So I'm wondering how JBL got to Orlando for this. IIRC he still lives in Bermuda, so unless he got stuck somewhere in the US when this all first went down, it's eyebrow raising that he somehow got here.
  3. I'm a Steeler fan so I hate all things Patriots by law, but I can't deny Gronk is fitting in nicely with what WWE wants from these roles.
  4. Gronk is surprisingly really good at the host thing.
  5. Having the Cenabot 5000 be the go home segment for CovidMania is certainly the most on-brand WWE thing to do at the moment.
  6. True, but if that's what happened it makes Hunter look like a pretty big doofus for promising a creative way out and then delivering nothing. A non sociopath-run company would have taken a moment to ponder one of their top executives promised something so maybe we probably shouldn't come off looking like we don't give a fuck about that.
  7. So either Hunter was trolling or he got "plans changed'd. Either way underscores how little the company cares about false advertising.
  8. Apparently the "creative way" was just to have Cole announce the new match. Totally worth all the false advertising (which is actually relevant since they're pushing this as PPV for the first time since the Network launched).
  9. Lumis's whole look is just...wow. From the molester mustache, ,to the tattoos that look like they're covering up something bad to the point his one arm looks like a redacted FOIA request, to the "just came back from a rally that involved tiki torches" haircut, he's like someone just made a Frankenstein of creepy parts with no idea what to do with it.
  10. I have my doubts about the Brawl for All episode, considering JR might be involved based on him being on the Benoit episode. I just hope that it doesn't turn into an hour of him denying it was designed to get Dr. Death over and/or he was super salty when Doc got beat.
  11. Having it be the finals of the TV title tournament wouldn't be the worst idea. A big win in what would probably be a great match would make the title mean something right out of the box and cement Darby as a top guy.
  12. Can't believe NXT is going to try to make Samuel Shaw...er Dexter Lumis.... a thing. I did chuckle for his theme being a not-even-trying-to-hide ripoff of the Stranger Things theme.
  13. Him jumping out of his Jacuzzi deal to reveal he was wearing dress pants got a legit LOL from me. This no-crowd era really exposes how overproduced WWE style is (if it wasn't already) Their shows look like actors rehearsing their lines and hitting their places, and AEW comes off as a bunch of dudes improving shit. Makes the show come off much more organic feeling.
  14. His boy Frank Shamrock posted a video of Mauro supporting other bipolar folks on his Twitter the other day, it appears that he's strictly following the self isolation procedure.
  15. I've loving the Brodie McMahon gimmck, and you know he has to love sticking it to the guy who saw nothing in him because he couldn't do a southern accent.
  16. Marko being the first sacrifical lamb for Lance Archer is the perfect use of both guys.
  17. Biggest news so far has been the return of Pharoh!
  18. I've heard people make the case that having Cody win would undermine his "never get a title shot again" stip, but I agree that it needs to be someone on that level to win it and that it would add some stakes to the MJF feud as well.
  19. It will probably be up in a few days. They had part two of the Benoit episode up on their YouTube channel a couple days after that aired, so I expect other episodes to follow suit.
  20. AJ specifically stated he didn't want to face "Mark Calloway" he wanted the Undertaker. I know there's been winky references in the past but this is the first time I can recall them flat out stating he's a dude named Mark playing a character since that time he was wearing all black sweats in the Attitude Era and Vince called him by his shootname. It's going to be silly when we get to Mania and we're supposed to believe he has all sorts of superpowers (you just know we're getting that in the "boneyard match") when the whole build has been that Taker's a dude gone soft who'd rather stay home and bone his hot wife.
  21. The New Jack episode might as well been titled "how a guy can do at least three attempted murders and get away from it because wrestling". I will say Sandman was entertaining as hell, he was a great get to the show. Maybe it's other incidents clouding my judgement, but it was hilarious to see Jim Cornette being all "well by golly Jack just said whatever he wanted to and we couldn't do anything about it" when he was the guy in charge.
  22. Undertaker, the guy who used to maintain Kayfabe to ridiculous lengths up until .....*checks watch*..... Monday, is now in a shooty shoot feud over his wife's finisher. Y'know I'd be okay with us doing a Dallas-like wipe of 2020 where we just all agree to pretend none of this ever happened.
  23. The Becky/Ronda/Charlotte match sure is a lot better when it's not at the end of a 6 hour death slog.
  24. Word. Not eating fast food on my way in to the office has done wonders for my waistline too. At this rate, by the time this is all over I'll be rocking the Rick Rude abs.
  25. AEW had folks wearing clip on mics and it seemed to work fine in an open air building, not sure why WWE couldn't do it in a much smaller indoor one other than "we're so attached to our format we're incapable of ever deviating from it".
