  1. I remember someone here making the joke after he did the first full heel promo that we'll end up with Brie shaving her head next.
  2. The guy who accused Roman of buying steroids ended up being the one who derailed Braun's career. WWE kept him on ice in case the claims were legit and Roman needed to be pulled for Mania, and when it was clear they were bogus it was too late to do anything with him and we ended up with the Nicholas stuff. Once that happened, the shine was gone and he became another start-and-stop guy.
  3. I guess it's a case of people not paying attention to lucha being a bonus since AAA should probably win that one in a rout. Yeah, WWE is boring but AAA routinely false advertises (when they bother to advertise anything at all), never start shows on time, have production gaffes out the ass, and continually fail at being able to do a broadcast in English.
  4. There's so many things that people could jump on him for that would be legit, that doing it over his reaction to a match that everyone agreed was stupid seemed a little dishonest at best.
  5. So Kayla must be like 3 feet tall since even Daniel Bryan was towering over her in that backstage segment.
  6. Kofi's been here before though. When he was doing that feud with Orton he had the crowds ready to accept him as a top guy, and then they....didn't. I think that's why he got so hot this time, the people know he has the ability, they know under all the goofy pancake skits there's a guy who could be something if ever given a chance to run with the ball.
  7. What's amazing is how fast Booker went from "well he's probably the better guy on this team" to "OMG why is he still teaming with his useless brother". I remember in their GWF and early WCW days the difference between them wasn't *that* big, yet after a short time Booker was clearly a upper-mid/top level guy and Stevie somehow got worse.
  8. LOL @ "voted in by my peers", no one votes on the WWE HOF but Vince.
  9. Holding out hope this will shake loose some more GWF from the archive, since the Ebony Experience spent some time there.
  10. It kind of makes sense if Dave wanted Hunter one last time at Mania and the story was Hunter was busy doing office stuff and Dave just thought he was ducking him. Of course they'll probably never actually say any of that stuff on TV and it'll get handwaved as another "just shut up and enjoy the show" moment.

    NXT talk

Always glad to see someone's hard work get rewarded, but I was shocked to see WWE signed him considering their stance on managers who aren't just other wrestlers with a side hustle. Managers are such a vital part of wrestling that nearly went extinct due to WWE's view on it, and I hope this won't be something that only is given a chance in NXT.
  12. So I know there's a million things to wonder about, but one thing stood out to me. Vince put Owens in the title match because he thought he was more box office than Kofi, but when the match actually happened he makes it a three way anyway and inserts Ali? Props to the three of them for making chicken salad out of the chicken shit they were handed, but it made no sense story wise for him to be there.
  13. Harlem Heat's induction speech should just be the HULK HOGAN WE COMIN' FO YOU promo.
  14. Speaking of Street Fighter 2, No Way Jose out here looking like Blanka.
  15. Wow there was some stank on that slap.
  16. It's so weird for Ronda to be all Shooty McShooterson yet still use WWE speak in promos.
  17. Oh shit, forgot about the Minnesota Stretching Crew!
  18. Shelton is a Paul Heyman guy? Weird flex but ok. Also interesting that they'd have a guy who had to take time off with back injuries take German suplexes.
  19. The way they keep mentioning Dean leaving, it makes me think he's already agreed to stay and they turned it into an angle. It just seems such the opposite of the way WWE normally handles someone leaving.
  20. I suppose they are hoping Roman can talk him into staying.
  21. People dogpiling on Alvarez for saying Kofi was cooled off after the handicap match was ridiculous. It was a stupidly booked match that sucked the life out of what was a fairly hot crowd, and he was left kind of looking like a goober afterwards. Then everyone started pointing at his tweet like he was waving his junk in public, and it just came off like a lot of other people in the Wrestling Twitter community saw blood in the water after all the Dave fuss and just wanted to pounce on the next thing Bryan was going to comment on. IMO that's something that I don't see mentioned as much, a lot of this drama surrounding Dave ends up being churned up by sites/writers in competition to him. I don't think that's an accident as anyone in the same line of work would kill to have the name/prestige/legacy he's built. That's not to say he shouldn't be called out when he messes up, but a lot of the people doing the calling out do so under less than honest pretenses at times.
  22. "ARE YOU ON TRT BECKY? IS THAT WHY YOU CALL YOURSELF THE MAN?"
  23. Their use, or more accurately the lack thereof, makes me think they only got offers from WWE to sweeten the pot for AJ to make the jump.
  24. He was correcting himself that Roman's first bout with it ended his football career when he played for one more year after. That's all. He wasn't trying to poke holes or "truther" anything. Dave doesn't give the morons ammunition, cut and paste sites and shitty podcasts that deliberately misrepresent him do. His insane need to correct any error he comes across is 99% of his problem on Twitter too.
  25. It's especially odd since he's been repeatedly stating this is different than WCW, despite "this is real, everything else was fake" being one of his big pet peeves of that era.
