My son has the same speech impediment Ronda has, and he does the same hesitation thing when he's trying to tell a story. Also like her, it tends to go away when he's pissed off and he doesn't have to think about how his words come out.
-
Wow, Ronda might be the first person in WWE history to point out she has enough money that she doesn't need this bullshit.

So if we're following the Attitude Era script, Becky's going to somehow get out of jail just in time to crash Ric's party and beat up Charolotte.
-
It's past the Cornette Statute of Limitations of repeating an angle, but LOL at how they are just straight up copy-pasting the Austin stuff with Becky. I fully expect her to hijack a beer truck next week.

Yeah, I kind of have a hard time believing the guy who had a hard time seeing the buttons on a telephone during the "McMahon's Millions" segments is sitting in gorilla tweeting on his phone .
-
When the McMahons came out to SHAKE THINGS UP! one of the announcements was no more automatic rematches.

Didn't you know Stephanie championed the Savior Revolution?

I keep forgetting McAfee is employed by WWE, and when I am reminded it's both annoying and amusing.

Plus Ric's birthday, and maybe the Rock (he's in town, has a WWE related movie to promote, they'd be dumb *not* to have him show up), and I think the Roman segment is going to be interesting to see how they handwave Dean's comments about his illness if they are getting the band back together one last time like they seem to be hinting at. I mean, I'm sure it will just be some variation of "Dean, you so crazy" but one can always hope.

They really haven't had anyone else in the "attractive Latino guy" role since, what, Alberto probably? Everyone else is masked and Rey (who's mask basically shows his whole face these days) looks like he's permanently 12 years old. Not only that, most women in WWE are so tiny I always am lowkey afraid one of them will shatter into a million pieces when they take a bump. Most of them could probably stand to gain a few pounds but I couldn't imagine the abuse they'd take on social media.

The best part was when he was talking about the powerlifting guys talking shit about him calling himself the World's Strongest Man after being away from their scene for years and how it was the maddest he ever was. Plus Vince's reaction when he asked if he could go compete being "sure, but you better win it because I have no place for the second strongest man in the world" being a shit-just-got-real moment. All that topped off with him going in with only 3-4 months training and winning the thing after being away for so long made clear how scary a motivated and pissed off Mark Henry could be. It also made clear that he's probably one of the legit nicest people ever in wrestling. Clearly he's one of the very few folks that no one has a bad word to say about. How could you, after seeing how passionate he is about life and how he goes in 100% when he cares about something. Even the part at the end with him being the typical corny dad embarrassing his son made it clear anyone who's ever met the guy would love him.

WWE TV 02/18 - 02/24 Governmental Twitter Dirty Laundry-Washing

It's kind of funny for all the smart moves AEW and the people involved are making, they really don't seem to realize that if you poke the bear enough Vince is gonna go back to the old Vince and get gangsta on them. -

I guess they want them to get together one last time before Seth goes off Beast hunting and Dean fucks off to where ever. -

Like, there's some dudes I could see getting upset that are passing you over....but Ricochet? Dude's like one of the best at his style in the world, and it's not like WWE was going to use TJP the same way anytime soon. "I'm passive agreesively mad about someone really good getting pushed in a key spot" is a weird take. -

Obviously Tye requested his, but TJP was kind of a surprise. I suppose he saw the writing on the wall that there wasn't anything for him on 205 Live and decided to take his talents elsewhere. -

I don't have any faith Vince would just have the guy back during Mania season just to give a health update. I hope that's all it is, but I'm not going to be surprised if it ends up at least being used to kick off someone else's angle if not his. -
I just remember people being hung up on his Joker smile, which ended up working well for him in his heel run. Also yes, poor Christian got a raw deal. I suppose Vince found him unattractive, but you'd think the guy was the Elephant Man based onhis reaction to him. Plus I always thought that while long haired Christian looked kind of weird, his short haired look was perfectly fine.

I wonder if Vince made the call to Roman, "you feeling better my man? Cause we fuckin' need something for Mania this year" -

Not to mention not everyone dealing with leukemia/cancer turns into a sickly, bald waif either. Too many people's ideas of how that works get shaped by melodramatic TV and movies. -
I'm assuming the Sputnik match is one of those no-sound 16mm deals from Florida? I never quite understood why they would film things like that. Other territories barely valued taping on regular film and the Grahams are out there all avant garde and shit.
-
I don't know if he said that, but Flair definately had a set style of match he did when he didn't feel the other guy was capable of a whole lot (the infamous broomstick match). That being said, Sting did improve greatly after working with him even if it wasn't a Flair/Steamboat level classic.
-
That's actually a pretty good comparison. UWF/early Crockett Sting was a ball of green charisma that clearly had potential, and was lucky enough to have a career defining match with one of the greatest of all time (not to mention a career long program with the guy to make sure he improved as a wrestler).

Just in case you have any doubt how this is going to go.
