The thing about Walter is that it started to become a gimmick where guys would get killed by chops and wear the marks as a badge of pride. It''s one thing if it's someone fair skinned who gets red marks easily, he's clearly hitting these guys with chops as hard as he can. Which, if you've got the testicular fortitiude to take one, great I suppose. It does seem to miss the point of it all supposed to only *look* like things hurt though.

Plus since they have six man titles, at least there's a reason for so many trios. Maybe the next time the New Japan guys come in they'll team up LIJ with Rush since he's the OG of the group.

I wonder if WWE will have the self awareness to ponder why so many people are getting sick of their creative direction and asking for their release.

I'm surprised Lana didn't tear an ACL walking around taking bumps with a boot on one leg and her ridiculous six inch heel on the other. Also Bryan is the greatest pro ever not corpsing when the crowd was chanting for Daisy the cow.

I saw someone on Twitter mention that Charlotte with that dark lipstick looks like Tim Curry, and now I can't unsee it.
-
If you told me Bryan legit made that himself I'd believe it.

It was designed as a pass the torch moment with Benoit/Eddy hugging in the confetti capping off the 20th anniversary of Mania, and was pushed as such until....well.

Wow, WWE just released a statement confirming his departure. For a company usually hesitant to talk about people's contract status (especially in the face of a potential competitor looming) to drop a statement like this is pretty interesting.

One could argue that it would be better for Renee if he went off in a wooded cabin Unabomber style than going to AEW.
-
Well so did Punk's when he left.
-
True, but the wording of the Torch story seemed to imply he was sick of WWE and what they were doing with his character, and not done with wrestling in general. He does seem to be the kind of guy to pull a CM Punk and just ghost the whole industry though.

Signing a guy who was a part of WWE's biggest act of the last few years would be exactly the kind of move AEW should make. It would signal they are for real and making moves to get the biggest name talent they can. As far as Ronda/Becky/Charlotte, Dave's been clear that the idead for Mania was always a three way but that was before everything took off the way it did. He said that the logical move is a one on one match with Ronda/Becky since it's clearly what the crowd wants, but he hasn't heard anything to indicate the plans changed yet. Given the company's MO of forcing what they want over what the fans are begging for, the three way seems like the probable way things will go. Another thing he mentioned is how both Ronda and Shanya grew to hate MMA fans due to all the shit they got on social media, and while Shanya's ok with it now in wrestling since she's playing a heel, Ronda is still easily shook when a crowd turns on her like they did last night.

Well that explains things. News just broke that Dean told the company he isn't interested in re signing when his deal is up in April. He's in Dave Batista "give no fucks because I'm leaving" mode, no wonder why he was on fire tonight.

"Heel does move multiple times in a row" is a WWE trope at this point and it almost always leads to the fans chanting "one more time" instead of booing the heel. That's not good babyface booking IHMO.
-
Not a "Vince type" blonde, if you get my gist. Also he sucks in the ring, but I dig how Corbin gets real "I hate you" heat instead of the normal ironic booing most heels get. I just wish he was half as good at wrestling as he is oozing douchebag charisma.
-
I'd wager Vince doesn't see it as marketable unless there's a blonde in the match.
-
See? Ronda's a good promo when she's not trying to juggle stupid WWE speak.
-
Becky should pull a Tommy Dreamer, "I'm hardcore, I'll take them both on!"
-
Ronda is such a natural heel, and the crowd clearly is behind Becky, but instead we get another case of WWE trying to force something.
-
The return of the Major Brothers!

I guess Nia is the new Chyna now?
-
Good lord, putting Alexa in with Tamina...they must be trying to kill her.
-
I chuckled at the crowd chanting "yes he does" when Dean asked Hunter if he needs to ask permisson to make a match.

They normally wait until after Mania to do call ups, but I would suspect the NXT guys/girls who get Rumble spots are probably the ones in the running to get those call ups when they happen. The interesting thing is how they follow up on the Nia thing imo. Was it a one time thing, or was it the start of them trying to normalize intergender wrestling? Even as a one time thing it was a stark change from a company who was known for advising women wrestlers they were interested in to not do them.
