100% this. They got the Jeff Jarret in WCW treatment by being a top act in a promotion where the wheels were falling off, even though they weren't the problem.

Having the hometown guy lose in the main event is such a WWE move (especially with memories of Sami losing in Montreal not that long ago), I just don't see AEW doing that.
