  1. I'd be willing to bet that HHH's beef with Jericho is some extension of his problem with the Rock, since Chris was one of the guys that Rock put over as a star. HHH's life quest was to destroy anyone the Rock made look good, and Chris was one of those guys.
  2. Angry Cornette + mic time = GOLD. It's awesome and at the same time sad that WWE had this guy at their disposal and decided scripted, bland promos were better than this.
  3. From what I recall it was pretty much HHH telling Vince that Jericho wasn't up to his standards.
  4. Actually I think a Cena DVD is a bad idea, since not only would it show Cena's not really that great a wrestler, the main program part would pretty much destroy his gimmick if they talked to his whitebread family and friends in the middle of Whitesville Suburbia and then cut to Cena all "YO YO, WHERE MY CLICK AT HOMIEZ???"
  5. I wouldn't mind a Big Show DVD. It would remind people how awesome he was back when he gave a shit.
  6. I will be upset if there's no mention of the PAY WINDA, DADDY.
  7. I'm all over the Dusty Rhodes DVD. It would be funny if they included a random WCW Saturday Night squash match just to capture the magic of his commentary.
  8. Cena gets a big pop for his entrance, but the longer his match goes (and the more offense he gets) the more the boos creep in. Considering HHH likes his main events to go 30 minutes more or less, it's going to expose Cena just like it exposed Scott Steiner. In fact, a long HHH-Cena match might end up causing the crowd to do a double turn like Austin-Hart.
  9. As clueless as they are with the current product, they seem to know exactly what the fans want from their DVD releases. Maybe they should let the Home Video department book for a while.
  10. WWE.com posted a list: Austin vs. McMahon: The Definitive Collection Brian Pillman: Loose Cannon Hulk Hogan: The Ultimate Anthology Born to Controversy: The Roddy Piper Story The Spectacular Legacy of the AWA John Cena: The Time is Now I'm not interested in the Austin/McMahon stuff or the Cena stuff, but everything else is a must.
  11. They don't need to be wasting everyone's time with this shit, just have HHH come out and demand the title shot because he's the GAME-UHH and the King of Kings (side tangent: how come everyone's no sold Hunter using Jesus's gimmick?). He's come out and demanded shit before and got it, why not do it again and spare the viewers having to watch the whole roster job to HHH in one night.
  12. Stuff like this is so disheartening. We know HHH needs his binky back and now he's got to go over everyone first so when he does get it there won't be any believable challengers for him to face.
  13. It seems like every fed in Japan has offshoots these days, is there any clear way of explaining who's tied to who? Japan's starting to look like the territory days where there was a zillion promotions all affiliated with a larger group. Also, am I correct in placing the big 3 Japan feds as NOAH>All Japan>New Japan? I know AJ had some problems, but from what I can tell they've started to rebound and NJ has hit the skids hard.
  14. I've seen TAKA do it in his WWF run (when they were trying to get the Lightheavyweight divison over and he wasn't a jobber) and in Japan, and it always looked like a bodyslam to me. It was always sold as a head drop bump by whoever was taking it, but I never saw it that way.
  15. I dunno, I wouldn't fear a Michinoku Driver, it's just a bodyslam with the person delivering the move sitting on his ass. I'd fear TAKA not being able to lift me with his 12 year old girl arms, but the actual move wouldn't be bad.
  16. I watched a Steiners vs Benoit/Lyger match from New Japan and Scott hit that move on Lyger and I thought he killed him.
  17. You know, I really wouldn't care as long as they had talent like this on the card. Besides, TNA is starting to notice that the Orlando crowds are completely shitting on JJ at every turn. So either he's going to drop the belt soon, or they'll move the tapings
  18. I would think the Hart family's probably not too keen on working with WWE, especially since Vince is going to embarrassing lengths to try to bait Bret to come back for an angle. Plus I think that the more TNA grows, the less likely an up and coming indy guy is going to want to sign with WWE and suffer through the development process where you get stripped of anything that makes you stand out only to get shitcanned for not bowing low enough when the agents come visit.
  19. Steiner Screwdriver, especially considering who did it.
  20. HHH is just pissed that WWE.com broke the news of Steph's pregnancy, since they're "divorced" in storylines. Carlito has been improving, but if they want to make him an Eddy subsitute, it's just going to bury him in the eyes of the fans.
  21. Mistico, Tiger Mask, and Low Ki on TNA in a decent timeslot = OWNAGE
  22. You'd think Vince's superstar legal team would stop making deals that require him to follow the rules of the agreement for longer than say...30 seconds.
  23. I'd be in favor of that.
  24. Part of the claim alleges Vince started off by showing her pictures of his wang on his cell phone camera, which if true makes him the only 60 year old who can work a cell phone cam.
  25. Vince must have asked Tazz for some tips with the females. Second newsbit: I wonder which side is discussing Monday. I'd wager Spike, since they really seem to want to stick it in WWE's ass that they don't need them.
