Santino was good at getting Vince's brand of comedy over as best as anyone could, but at the end of the day he was still polishing turds. Funny thing is he just showed up in Impact as their new authority figure so I suppose we'll see if he can succeed in a non WWE environment.

Especially since they already did the "act like they're going to fight but it was a SWERVE" deal the other week for the battle royale. -

In kayfabe, it's kinda dumb to book one person to face the tag champs straight up as opposed to a "tag partner got taken out and the remaining person goes it alone" situation. It also seems a little bit early to be putting Sol Ruca in main events, but I guess they're striking while the iron is hot since her finisher went viral so I can't fault that. Also I want to see Sol and Tiffany have a flippy contest and see who can come up with the most ridiculous shit. -

NXT kicking off with Indi vs bubba @KawadaSmile's favorite Tiffany Stratton (and her "upgrades"). -
Mark is a stronger person than I am, I don't think I'd be emotionally capable of performing on national TV a few days after losing a close family member on their birthday.

FWIW, Mark was never banned from WBD it was only Jay. Mark could have gone on TV (or to WWE for that matter) solo but he wouldn't without his brother. -

It looks like they are building up to Sami finally having enough and telling Roman to GFY, and that's gonna get a monster pop when it happens. I wonder if they are going to do a Sting/Horsemen deal where Sami wins the Rumble and Roman just expects him either to give up the shot or do a Fingerpoke of Doom type situation to set up Sami finally standing up for himself. -

I guess when you have a show full of people accustomed to 10-15 minute overruns, you and up with Raw going off the air while Corey was in-mid sentence trying to Excalibur his way through Brock's return -

ROH is selling a Jay Briscoe shirt with all proceeds going to the family. I'm usually not a wrestling t shirt guy, but I'm going to definitely make an exception here. https://www.prowrestlingtees.com/jay-briscoe-reach-for-the-sky-100-of-proceeds-go-to-benefit-the-pugh-family.html -

Briscoes vs Nakamura/Okada that ROH's channel uploaded like 5 years ago popped up on my Youtube feed the other day, and my first thought was "holy shit, I didn't even know that match even happened". -
Rocky Romero and Volador Jr have a banger in the main event here for the Historic (formerly NWA) Welterweight title. Starts about 2 hours in if you want to skip to it, and see why there's nothing like a Friday night Arena Mexico crowd.

I chalk that up to Bryan being a miracle worker more than anything else, that man can make literally anything work.
-
Everything else aside. that cobra gimmick was the stupidest shit ever. I don't care that Santino was a comedy wrestler, it was the worst.
-
When he was in Mid South, Bill Watts would heavily imply it on commentary to the point he might as well have just come out and said it. By the time he was in JCP it was less "sissy" and more "spoiled rich mama's boy". As for Bryan, I suspect he's going to have another great match since Cage is ridiculous for a guy his size and he can let Bryan steer the ship.

Reading Jay's wife describing her daughters' injuries and all I can think of is that the the person who hit them must have been going fast as hell to cause that level of damage. -

WBD not allowing any type of tribute while airing DV Dana's CTE Speedrun right after was complete bullshit. -
Yeah it's been nearly forgotten that "James E. Cornette, sissy mama's boy" was a rib on Jim Barnett.

Hulk vs Miscavige seems like the final boss fight of carny, the only thing that would make it better is if the winner gets kabong'd by Double J.
-
Also Saraya pretty much turned herself heel in her very first promo where she basically (if not unintentionally) made AEW look second rate.

Its amazing that the storyline is Bryan has to win all these matches to get the title shot, but he's so great he ends up getting the crowd to root for his opponent to win.
