I've been blowing this trumpet for awhile. That guy is a superstar. I imagine he'll wind-up in WWE just because of the Samoan Dynasty heritage & history with that company. He would be a huge get for AEW as their Umaga monster though. AEW is going to have to slow down a lot of signings too though.

Yeah, Coach was another complete headscratcher. They brought him back & after working previously for WWE & then working for ESPN, he was some how worse. How the hell does that happen?

She was fantastic at that role when they had her doing it. They've hired multiple women, including Charly since then, just to replace the role that Rene did. Honest question: did they put her on commentary just because she's a woman & they're doing the Women's Evolution thing? Because it seems silly to me to replace someone from a role that they're doing a really good job in.

Coincidentally, I posted on Twitter earlier that Rene leaving WWE for AEW to become Jon Moxley's valet seems like it would be beneficial to all involved. It gets her off of the WWE commentary booth, still gives her a job & she would be working with her husband again. Seems like win/win. Of course I have no idea what her WWE contract is like or anything. It should be noted though that she was great as a backstage interviewer. I'm sure some of the reason why she's bad at commentary is it being a 3-person booth plus constantly having someone in their ear, but a lot of it is still on her.

There are some great quotes in here. Super fun listen. Listening to him shit all over the creative is very entertaining.

When a stream gets shut down, it takes about twelve to fifteen seconds to find a new one. No company can ever stop all streams, nor keep up with the speed that new streams pop-up. It's a waste of time, effort & resources. If someone is internet savvy & committed to watching a show w/out paying for it, they can do so pretty easily in this day & age.

WWE has managed to make their whole roster feel like they have a bunch of Big John Studds walking out there. Except of course they're also all 5'10" & 190lbs.
-
It took an hour to have a match at all & when they did it was that Shane McMahon fuckery...
-
They don't want that. Can't have a WWE Superstar™ getting more over with the WWE Universe™ than the brand, pal. This is Sports Entertainment™, goddamn!

I wonder what an AEW cage match would look like?

Not black, but AEW should really try to get Jacob Fatu. I think I've said it before, probably more than once, but I think he's going to be a big star. He could be their monster. Umaga style monster, not like giant monster. But still, with their roster, all of those guys playing Pinball? Man.

You 100% don't want to watch the Young Bucks Vs. Lucha Bros. match then! Holy crap... I've never seen so many moves killed & mean nothing. Was probably my biggest complaint of the entire night, which other than the preshow, was mostly full of praise & gushing.

The main event disappointed & that finish was the shits. But overall, fantastic PPV. Great first showing. The Cody/Dustin match was amazing. Still might get a big surprise.
-
That was the match of Cody's career. Best match he's ever had.
-
He is bleeding fucking BUCKETS.
-
This match has been GREAT. Awesome storytelling.
-
The atmosphere of this match is awesome. The crowd is hype as fuck.
-
First match was a fun spot fest. Crowd got into it.
-
MJF and Luchasaurus were the stars of that match, for sure.

For whatever it's worth, I read that if you use a VPN & login to the Fite app via a Canadian IP, you can get it for the $15-$20 price or whatever it is, instead of $50. If that helps anyone.

Cody is great about drumming up interest for his matches but then the matches usually tend to disappoint. Curious to see if he can end his 3-star performances tonight. Dustin is really good, so we'll see. I assume Omega/Jericho is going to have a lot of bells & whistles, like in Japan, because I don't really trust Jericho to have a great match if it's just moves in a ring anymore. He needs plunder. Will be cool to see what modern day Aja Kong looks like. Lucha Bros/Young Bucks is going to be spot city. Like, nothing but. So if you like Pentagon doing his hand sign shit & Superkicks, you'll probably love it. If you like guys kicking out of everything, you'll probably love it. I will probably not be a fan but I'm looking forward to one or two spots that make me say wow or something cool. Rest of the card I don't really have any expectations one way or the other, so I'm going to keep an open mind. I just hope things go well & when the show is over there's a lot of positive word of mouth & people excited.

I remember there being old Bayley tweets, maybe even before she was in NXT, where she was cussing up a storm about something. Probably long since deleted since she does the kid friendly hugger thing now. Not that I'm a person that profanity would matter to me but some people, for whatever reason, it bothers.

I had to shut the weigh-in off. Was way too embarrassing, felt really amateurish & like no one was prepared. Plus the production, especially the audio, was quite bad. Shame.

I will say, I like Kofi on top more than I would have liked Ali on top. Even in the MITB ladder match, I thought Ali stuck out like a sore thumb. Also, I know the New Day themselves are adamant about not splitting up the group & I'm OK with that, but I would love to see some Big E. solo stuff. That guy is a bucket of charisma. Also, as a side note, I thought Money in the Bank was a pretty bad PPV but us getting this much discussion from it is pretty cool.

They have a lot of good women. They have a lot of talent. I'm not against women's wrestling or it being on the show. I am against mediocrity & when it's overlooked because of the fear of being labeled a misogynist or whatever. We're in this era of wrestling now where some things are a lot harder to talk about because everyone feels like they're walking on eggshells. If you're not a fan of Kofi as champ, as an example, you risk being labeled a racist (especially on Twitter), if you say negative things about the women or big people or whatever. Not really a concern or fear that pops-up here but if you venture away from PWO & talk about wrestling? I'm also against anything that feels like it's being shoved down your throat. How a lot of fans felt toward Roman Reigns before the cancer is how I feel about what WWE is doing with the women. No denying at one time, Becky was white hot. But they definitely flubbed it in the build & I think adding Charlotte hurt things too (despite her being a great worker). So by the time Wrestlemania did roll around, it felt more like Kofi/Bryan was the "main" & the women just got to go on last as some sort of prize. It felt gifted instead of earned. Which maybe isn't fair to them, as it wasn't their fault.
