I was OK with the Brock surprise & actually popped when his music hit. I just wish he would have laid a bigger path of destruction before grabbing the briefcase. Some more suplexes & F-5s or whatever. Of course, the biggest reason for me was two fold: 1. I didn't care about anyone in the match outside of Andrade and 2. it was a better surprise than Fat Rob Zombie in a clown mask coming back would have been. I hate that Kofi & Seth are world champs. I hate that one of the title matches on a PPV was Kofi Vs. Owens. Two scruds. Also, if I'm being honest, I hate the force-feeding us women's matches too. Women's Money in the Bank Match, then back-to-back Becky title defense matches (with the super pushed Lacey to start) and then the Bayley cash-in all on the same show. Maybe I'm in the minority there but when I read that Stephanie McMahon's goal was to have equal matches on a show of women & men - like say both have four matches each - I got a look of horror on my face. We've had the all-women's PPV, the women's Rumble & women Main Event Wrestlemania now. It feels like they're hot-shotting this "revolution." Cage match sucked. 205 match sucked. Mysterio/Joe was a nothing match. Then you factor in all the ref flubs & it was a truly bad PPV experience. Once again though, I think most of it goes back to WWE just not having any stars. Brock despite feeling... oversaturated, at least still comes off as a star BECAUSE he's part-time & they protect him. Roman doesn't have that aura. Braun doesn't have that aura. Bobby Lashley & Drew MacIntyre certainly don't. And don't even get me started on Kofi, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens & Seth Rollins. Oof.

That and also no hardcore spots. Like we're not seeing trash can lids, kendo sticks, bowling balls or Raven with a shopping cart with a Frankenstein doll in it. Which is why I assume they didn't just call it the hardcore division again.

They could literally fire everyone that was in the segment, including the commentators, and it would make WWE better.

It's already a jobber title 30 seconds after the reveal. That's gotta be a new fucking record.

Dude, the shaky cam backstage during the beating of Sami by Braun was legitimately one of the funniest ten seconds of TV I think I've EVER watched. I have no idea how anyone can think that looks good. It was so fucking awful that I legitimately laughed out loud. This company is beyond clueless. Blame Kevin Dunn, or who the fuck ever, but that shit is inexcusable. Someone please clip that! It was literally the man holding the camera just moving it from left to right really quickly.

Don't forget AEW Double or Nothing is Saturday!

I can't wait for Brock Lesnar Vs. Baron Corbin at Wrestlemania, y'all!

So now when Charlotte wins her next belt she's already a damn 10-time champion? That's insane.

My god, nothing can go right tonight. ANOTHER blown finish. Good god.

That was an awful first hour.

I would agree with that had they not had this as one of their biggest four matches & not cancelled it until a week before the PPV. It's just wonky all around. A real headache.

Why not just have PAC win? A loss isn't gonna kill Page anyway.

As it pertains to the GWE, I had the same thought. When that was finished, I think people were kind of burned out. A PWO discord isn't a bad idea...

Doesn't just feel like WWE. PWO as a whole seems a lot less active than it used to feel. Maybe that's due to the shows being worse, or Twitter/other social media being easier or whatever, I don't know. Need to get some new fish.

I guess I hadn't thought about it before but it is pretty incredible that a company with Jim Cornette also has Teddy Hart, Low Ki & is bringing in Austin Aries! That's a lot of guys not known for being team players. But they're all really talented.

WWE TV 05/06 - 05/13: Let's just cut 30% of all federal universities' budget

It's WAY too fucking early to be making this statement. -
I'm watching it right now & I'm pretty entertained. Got about twenty minutes left but the first two matches were fine & the Selina stuff has been fun. Looking forward to Park/Pentagon 2. EDIT: Main event was fun!

One of my favorite things going right now is CONTRA in MLW with Simon Gotch, Jacob Fatu & Josef Samael. It's pretty simplistic: an invading stable of heels beats people up... but that still works! -

A problem, as it seems to me, is that whenever they do try to run some big angle, it's always about the McMahon family & not about the wrestlers. So a big angle in their eyes would be like Vince McMahon announcing his retirement & then Triple H & Shane McMahon fighting over who controls the show. And it wouldn't help anyone on the roster. -

If I weren't so lazy, I would make a thread questioning if the Usos are the best tag team to have come through WWF/WWE. I actually think they might be & if not, it's close. That being said, this new "comedy" (I guess?) that they're doing with the Revival is not doing any of them any favors. -

I might like Seth more if he starting cutting promos about having to do bull fights. -

It NEVER works. It never fucking works. And they keep doing it. It's fucking stupid. It's always been stupid. It always will be stupid. And it will never work. And it pisses me off, honestly, when people try to defend it. "This jobber that doesn't get TV time would get more chances!" Who gives a fuck? Half the roster could be fired and no one would even notice. If a non fan asks you who is the champ, you can't even answer without explaining the stupid shit. "Well, there's two 'brands', and each brand has a champion, and..." It was dumb the first time. It was dumb the second time. Now this is the third time, right? Still sucks. Still stupid. Still bad. Just history repeating itself. We'll get more irrelevant titles, more unification matches that no one gives a piss about, a bunch of filler TV with half-assed rosters & arbitrary rules that WWE breaks whenever they want anyway. It's terrible & just leads to more bad TV. -
Between the hype promos and the Jim Ross interview on Busted Open Radio talking about how he wants to make it sound like an athletic event, I have a lot of hope. I want to have something that's not cartoony. Like, if WWE is doing New Day stuff & whatnot, AEW should be trying to be a completely different, alternative product. So I'm hoping they go more in that direction & less in the Joey Ryan Penis Druid direction.

That video was dope. -
Obviously I'm a huge wrestling fan, as we all are. And I'm of course a current WWE Subscriber, as I'm sure most of us are. However, I also have Amazon Prime Video, Hulu Premium & Netflix. It's going to be hard to justify keeping WWE Network if they raise their prices or reduce their content for the tier that is the current price. At this point, streaming services are combining to be what it was to keep cable in the first place price wise. Which I feel like the continual raising of prices is a big reason for all of the cord cutting. So I really hope that the new tiered format offers what we currently get content wise for what we currently pay. If they add other tiers below that, fine. But I'm not going to pay more for what I already have or get less for what I currently pay for.
