PROUD MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE SOUTHEASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING TV Saturday 17th September 1983 Taped in front of a live studio audience at the WTVY Television Studio in Dothan, AL Hosted by Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart The opening credits roll and we pan to Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart at the announcer’s desk where we get introduced to another week of great wrestling action. Charlie Platt infos the fans before we start with any action, we have to address Bob Armstrong’s actions last week. As you know neither Bob nor Dutch Mantell can be at the television studio at the same time, last week Bob Armstrong broke this rule as he turned up at the WTVY studio and attacked Dutch Mantell, whether right or wrong, he must now pay a penalty fine of $1500. But on the back of this, the championship committee are fully aware of the issues surround his return and that’s why this week in Birmingham, there will be a “Loser Leaves Town For 90 Days Steel Cage Match” for the Southeastern Heavyweight Championship when “Bullet” Bob Armstrong faces of with champion “Dirty” Dutch Mantell, but not only that The Flame will be handcuffed to the returning Brad Armstrong to make there is no outside interference. If that wasn’t enough, the Southeastern Tag Team Titles will be up for grabs in a “Loser Leaves Town Forever” when champions Tim Horner and Ricky Gibson face of with the Assassins. We will hear from both teams later on in the show. === Advert === We return with the team that pushed the Fabulous Ones to the limit this past week, Bobby Eaton and Tom Pritchard defeat the team of Mike Jackson and Gene Ligon in 5 minutes following a Top Rope Elbow Drop from Pritchard to Ligon. After the match the upstart team say they made a statement in Birmingham last Monday and they will be doing the same this week. === Advert === We are back with the Southeastern Tag Team Champions Ricky Gibson, Tim Horner and their manager Jim Cornette. The champs talk about how they aren’t liking Cornette recent displays of cheating, even though they know he means well, it just isn’t how they want to win matches. So for the loser leaves town match on Monday night, they don’t want any distractions. Jim Cornette tries to argue his case, but the champs aren’t having any of it they are set on retaining the titles and sending the Assassins packing. === Run down of this weeks action in Dothan, Penscola, Birmingham and Mobile === Larry Hamilton “Wildfire” Tommy and Johnny Rich defeat the team of The Masked Medics and The Moondog with Paul Jones in 6 minutes when Larry Hamilton hits a Running Powerslam on Medic #1 followed by the pin. After the match the winning team talk to Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart about this past week’s defeat to the Studd Stable in the best of 3 series. They challenge the Studd Stable to a Birmingham Street Fight this Monday night, with this The Studd Stable stroll out to the announcers desk and after exchanging a few words they say they will accept the match but only if its elimination rules. The Rich’s and Hamilton accept, “Wildfire” tells the Studd’s hes going to end this on Monday and then move onto the Southeastern Heavyweight Championship much to the delight of the fans. === Advert === The Assassin’s with Paul Jones defeat Art Crews and Josh Stroud in 6 minutes when The Assassins hit a double splash on Stroud, this was your typical squash from The Assassins who again prove they aren’t to be messed with, will this Monday be the last for The Assassins in Birmingham? Paul Jones and The Assassins join Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart, where he assures his team will come out victorious and if they don’t he will also leave the area and disband his Army. === Run down of this week’s action in Dothan, Penscola, Birmingham and Mobile === Before we go to the TV Title main event, we are joined but “Bullet” Bob Armstrong. Bob says that never has one man got under his skin as much as Dutch Mantell has, never has one man made it so personal that 2 of his sons have been badly attacked by him. Monday one way or another the rivalry will come to an end, and he promises that will be here next week. Bob Armstrong gets in the ring for his match teaming with his son Scott Armstrong, this week they are up against The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne). The Nigthmare’s have been impressing as of late but the experience of Bob Armstrong may be too much for them this week. Bob and Scott pick up the DQ victory in 9 minutes when The Flame comes from the back and attacks Bob Armstrong before the locker room empties to split the pair apart. === Advert === Back with Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart who show highlights of this weeks massive show from Birmingham, with video clips of The Fabulous Ones Vs Eaton and Pritchard, “Bullet” Bob Armstrong battle with The Flame and the NWA World Champion Harley Race defeating “Dirty” Dutch Mantell. Charlie Platt also informs the fans that a special 1 hour Southeastern Showcase will aired on WTBS out of Georgia. Today’s main event will be for the Southeastern Television Champion as champion “Professor” Bill Ash defends his title against Charlie Cook. Charlie Cook had to win a 4 man tournament to get his shot even defeating Bill Ash stable mate The Moondog. Champion Ash as also is joined by Paul Jones. Throughout the match Paul Jones tries to interject on several occasions but Charlie Cook is too wise to the antics and after 9 minutes hits his Running Football Tackle on Ash and gets the 3 count 10 seconds before the time limit to win the title. Charlie Cook celebrates in the ring with Ricky Gibson, Tim Horner, Scott Armstrong and the Latin Lovers who all come from the back in a feel good moment. === Show Ends === Quick Results 1. Bobby Eaton & Tom Pritchard defeats Gene Ligon & Mike Jackson in 5 minutes. 2. “Wildfire” Tommy Rich, Johnny Rich and Larry Hamilton defeat The Masked Medics and The Moondog when Hamilton pinned Medic #1 in 6 minutes. 3. To be fair he doesn't reply in anything over than his own threads. But he's up to date that's why I'd assume he was staying put... That isn't a missile either, just a comment...
-
Memphis posted a show this week, so I take it he's still in.
-
Can we get a roll call please, seems like we are only losing Kris which I don't think was the desired effect of the thread.
-
This is what I'd do, just to get back on a level with everyone...
-
I don't think that's the case, I think out of everyone who is behind (and I mean before September, not a week or so) you've been quite active on the board.
-
We need to pass on Rocketcrypt as he probably wont see this....
-
Also how many promotions are we looking at? All Star, Puerto Rico, Stampede, ICW, Texas and Florida?
-
Ive offered the new guy the chance to book my sister promotion Alabama Wrestling Alliance for a few weeks if he wants something to do while this shake up is happening.

Looks like Mid South is giving WWF a youth injection that is helping the balance. Some great TV matches also, particular a young Bret Hart going against Double A...

Forgot I was so far down the list...
-
When are we doing the rookie draft for October?
-
I've sent you a PM about a suggestion...

Not to be brutal about it, but if people aren't on here then they should go. Being a week behind as opposed to not being out of July is just ridiculous. We can't let this become too disjointed, there are about 7-8 promotions all roughly the same date and doing a great job. It isn't about picking the bones out of inactive promotions, but for me coming to the end of my 1st cycle of feuds, would a little influx of talent help, it sure would. There are some big names not being booked as we speak.

PROUD MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE SOUTHEASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING TV Saturday 10th September 1983 Taped in front of a live studio audience at the WTVY Television Studio in Dothan, AL Hosted by Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart We open with video clips of the shocking return of The Flame to Southeastern Championship Wrestling when he cost “Bullet” Bob Armstrong his Southeastern Heavyweight Title. The credits roll and we go to Rick Stewart and Charlie Platt who have “Dirty” Dutch Mantell and The Flame with them. Before Charlie Platt gets to welcome the fans to this week’s television program Dutch Mantell steps in and takes up the camera. He tells Platt how happy he is to welcome back The Flame and would like to thanks him for his efforts in restoring order here in Southeastern Championship Wrestling. And also The Flame doesn’t need to look over his shoulder as “Bullet” Bob is barred from TV this week. But as a reward for his help he has got something very special in store for him, but he will have to wait until later in the show for it. Charlie Platt interrupts Dutch and tell him that The Flame may not see “Bullet” Bob today but he will be seeing him this Monday as Bob Armstrong has ask for a 1-on-1 match with The Flame and the Southeastern Governing Body has agreed and the match is signed, Dutch tell The Flame not to concern himself but look forward to his gift. === Advert === We return to Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart who run down todays card, we will be hearing from The Fabulous Ones before their contest with Bobby Eaton and Tom Pritchard, “Rookie” Scott Armstrong will be in action, we will have the final of the Number 1 Contenders Tournament for the TV title and NWA World Champion Harley Race will be in action before his World Title defence on Monday when he goes up against Johnny Rich. First match of the show sees “Rookie” Scott Armstrong up against Tony Falk. In an even contest Scott manages to get the victory around the 4 minute mark when the rookie hits a Superkick followed by the 3 count. After the match Scott comes to talk with Charlie and Rick around his father’s disappointment at losing the Southeastern Heavyweight Title, he tells Platt and Stewart that although his dad is barred from TV, he would like to get a message to Dutch Mantell and The Flame via phone and would it be okay to call him. Charlie Platt says that’s fine and pulls out a phone from under the announcers table and Scott calls his dad, Scott starts talking to his dad and relays his thoughts about The Flame and Dutch Mantell. Suddenly from the back “Dirty” Dutch Mantell runs out and jumps Scott from behind. Dutch picks up the phone and says hello to “Bullet” Bob and tells him he’s going to look after his boy while he isnt here and he can hear for himself just in case he’s in doubt. Dutch drags Scott into the ring and calls out The Flame and tells him that this is his present for helping him out. The Flame comes out and starts to attack Scott, saying he hates the Armstrong’s and continues to beat him down. “Dirty” Dutch goes back to the phone, goes to speak in it but its gone dead, he laughs and walks off, with The Flame as 5 referees have escorted him from the ring to stop the attack. === Advert === We return with the medical team still looking over Scott Armstrong in the ring, Charlie Platt says it’s best to go a video interview of Stan Lane and Steve Keirn, The Fabulous Ones while Scott is helped. They tell the fans they are very much looking forward to Monday night and facing off with a very good tag team in Bobby Eaton and Tom Pritchard. But come Monday it won’t count for much as they will be taking home the winner’s cheque. We return to Charlie Platt who inform the fans in Birmingham that Mondays show will be now in fact be held in the much bigger Jefferson Civic Centre due to the initial ticket allocation being sold out, all tickets will be honoured. Next up we see Tom Pritchard taking on Mike Jackson and defeating him in 4 minutes following a Top Rope Elbow Drop, and the pin. Tom Pritchard was join by his partner Bobby Eaton, who join the announcing team to talk trash about The Fabulous Ones. === Run down of this weeks action in Dothan, Penscola, Birmingham and Mobile === We return from the break with the Number One Contender Match for the TV Title currently held by “Professor” Bill Ash. The final will see stable mate of the champion The Moondog with Paul Jones up against Charlie Cook, like all TV Title matches this match will have a 10 minute time limit. Due to the time limit this match has a sense of urgency to it. Charlie Cook manages to get the win following a Football Tackle at 7 minutes that caught The Moondog off guard and Cook got the pinful. Following the match Bill Ash and Paul Jones storm the ring only for Cook to get out of harm’s way quickly. === Advert === The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) defeat the team of Gene Ligon and Josh Stroud when The Nightmares used their impressive Tombstone Piledriver and Middle Rope Leg Drop combo before the pinful and the victory at 6 minutes. The Nightmares look a real handful and the Tag Team Champions should watch out. === Run down of this weeks action in Dothan, Penscola, Birmingham and Mobile === Today’s main event sees NWA World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race take on Johnny Rich. The match starts with a lot of back and forth chain wrestling only for Race to take an early advantage, Johnny Rich puts up a valiant fight but Harley Race is just too strong and gets the win after 9 minutes following a Knee Drop. Following the bell The Studd Stable, Jimmy Golden, Ron and Robert Fuller, storm the ring and start to attack Johnny Rich, only for “Wildfire“ Tommy Rich and Larry Hamilton to closely follow to even the odds. The locker rooms empties to split the 6 men up as we go to break. === Advert === We return with the ringside area finally being cleared of the 6 men brawling leaving NWA World Champion Harley Race in the ring after his victory, then out comes from behind the melee Southeastern Heavyweight Champion and NWA World Champion Number 1 Contender “Dirty” Dutch Mantell and The Flame. Both men get in the ring either side of Race and attack the World Champion. Clearly Mantell wants to weaken Race before his World Title match. Charlie Platt informs us that while this is happening in the ring, there is a commotion in the parking lot. A camera finally gets outside and it’s the Studd Stable and The Rich’s with Larry Hamilton brawling in the parking lot. When a cars speeds around the corner, pulls up and out comes………… ”BULLET” BOB ARMSTRONG. Armstrong makes his way to the studio door and Charlie Platt tells the camera to follow him as he’s not meant to be here. Armstrong makes his way towards the ring where Mantell and The Flame are still brawling with Harley Race, who trying to put up a fight. Flame and Mantell haven’t caught Armstrong in there in eye line yet, Armstrong picks up the pace and charges the ring and is a house of fire attacking both Mantell and Flame. We now have the unlikely alliance of Harley Race and Bob Armstrong fighting on the same side. Charlie Platt informs us that we are running out of time with a 2 on 2 brawl happening in the ring. === Show Ends === Quick Results 1. Scott Armstrong defeats Tony Falk in 4 minutes following a Superkick. 2. Tom Pritchard defeats Mike Jackson in 4 minutes. 3.
