Wait, did they seriously do a DQ finish in a Hell in a Cell Match? What the fuck is wrong with this company? -

You would think that Heyman would be the last person to make AJ an afterthought. His promo after Survivor Series 2017 calling AJ the most phenomenal in-ring performer he had ever seen supposedly reflected his actual opinion. -

Austin, Undertaker, and Sting were all advertised for Smackdown, and they were all absent with no explanation. Blatant false advertising doesn't exactly have a sterling track record as a strategy for audience growth. -

Brock vs. Cain is headlining a major show after Ronda ran roughshod over the women's division last year. How crazy is it that WWE has become the last bastion of Inokiism? -

Kofi got exactly what he deserved. The past six months have established beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's not world champion material. Brock having a competitive match with him would have devalued the title. -

Between the wrestling war heating up, WWE swimming in money, and the Saudi prince calling the shots, I've got a feeling we're going to see a lot more former stars miraculously cleared to return to the ring. -
Boxing and MMA have weight classes. Floyd and Manny aren't fighting guys who outweigh them by 100 pounds.

Jericho is supposedly facing Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom, and I doubt New Japan would put someone from AEW over one of their tippy-top guys. I also doubt AEW would be OK with their world champion losing a non-title match to someone outside the company. So unless AEW is planning on making Tanahashi their champion, I figure Jericho will drop the belt between now and January, most likely to Cody at Full Gear.

Getting paid models to sit on a couch and pose for a picture for you isn't much of an accomplishment, especially if you're bribing them with liquor.

https://www.fightful.com/wrestling/tony-khan-discusses-mistakes-aew-has-made-thus-far Tony practically sounds like Cornette here. I can't believe the AEW president is such an out-of-touch hater.

It'll be interesting to see Tanahashi in an all-out brawl. The last one I remember him being in is the Yano match from the 2011 G1.

No, that was a girl named Haruka. She apparently left the business shortly after the Omega match.

I am unironically excited by the prospect of Jack Swagger vs. Dustin. Pretty great first episode.

That was my match of the night so far. There were some rough patches for sure, but they sucked me in by the end and got the crowd into it.
-
I'd be down for this. They've been far and away the two best guys in the company so far.

Women's wrestling is one area where NXT has the clear edge over AEW. They need to import more joshi stars if they want to catch up.

I keep hearing what a great heel MJF is, but his act is way too over-the-top for me. I can't take him seriously because he makes it blatantly clear that he's working a gimmick.
-
It's a good thing Jericho is such an awesome scumbag, because Cody still wrestles too much like a heel.

I'm sure the last thing Finn Balor wants is to be joined at the hip to Bray Wyatt even more. Seriously, what did he do to deserve being the one who has to get Wyatt's shitty gimmicks over? First Sister Abigail, now The Fiend. Poor guy can't catch a break. -
Banderas has been working for CMLL as Gilbert el Boricua for over a year, so he strikes me as a highly unlikely candidate for AEW.

Roman is a star on Smackdown, the A show. The Fiend is beneath him. -
A heel not keeping his word? Oh, the humanity!

That's why I don't understand the logic behind these cage matches. Isn't taking another luchador's hair a huge honor? Shouldn't they all be doing everything they can to stay in the cage?

What's the story here? Is it just a botch? It would have had to go through several channels to make it on the air, so that would indicate an impressive level of incompetence if that was the case. Maybe John Cena did something to piss them off and they don't want him to share the fake world title record anymore.
