MY CLIENT CROATIA CONQUERED THE CANARINHA Hopefully that'll put an end to soccer talk on this board for a while.

The HDA is the sixth. Dave made a mistake in not including them in the chart showing votes and percentages, but they got in with 76 percent.
-
The issue's out. The HDA, Mistico, Ibushi, Naito, Los Villanos, and Mark Rocco were voted in and Daro and Doyle were auto-inducted. Just missing the cut were Rocca/Perez, Slaughter, and Los Hermanos Dinamita. Kind of surprising to see Villano III alongside Kawada as the first multiple inductees. I guess it really is true that Mexico has gone from the hardest region to get voted in to the easiest.

WHAAAAAAAT

Maybe the best example of this is JR proclaiming HHH to be perhaps the most technical champion in WWF history during his match with Cactus Jack at the 2000 Rumble.
-
Maybe not the best, but he was the gateway drug for a lot of people. Timothy Thatcher for one has pointed to Regal's matches with Flair on WCWSN as his introduction to the style.
-
Regal may have had contemporaries who were better technicians, but they were all in the lighter weight classes, which tend to be more technical in every combat sport. I don't know if there's been a better heavyweight technical wrestler in the past 30 years.

It probably sounds cool if you're as pilled-up as Shawn was then. -

If you thought Jun Akiyama facing Eddie Kingston was crazy, that's nothing compared to this past weekend when he wrestled Joey Janela in a TLC match. There are no words. -
A depressingly likely scenario is the Ass Boys or maybe the Kingdom screwing FTR out of the AEW tag titles to set up an ROH tag title match at Final Battle.
-
They really seem to have booked themselves into a corner with FTR/Acclaimed. It looks like only the AEW tag titles will be on the line, which would point to the Acclaimed going over. Plus, they're the most over babyface act in the company right now. On the other hand, I can't imagine New Japan and AAA being OK with their tag champs doing jobs for other teams. They could always do a WWE-style cop-out finish, but I guarantee that would generate the wrong kind of heat.

No one outside the kpop bubble will get this, but fuck it.

Yeah, she was really praising him when she all but called him a racist. That was the whole reason he opened fire on her when he was initially content to portray it as a mutual parting of ways.
-
Let's remember that Regal was the one responsible for scouting PWG talent during his previous WWE stint, so it's highly unlikely that he was going around telling folks backstage that wrestlers these days don't know how to work.

TV age is more important than chronological age, and Drake is a blank slate for most of the audience since hardly anyone saw him in Impact and the NWA. Dolph Ziggler is only a couple of years older than him, but it's hard to imagine him progressing beyond where he is now since he's been around seemingly forever without any kind of break.

Eight new entrants this year according to Meltzer. The HOF issue should be a doozy.

Barry Windham suffered a massive heart attack over the weekend and is currently in the ICU. -
I have no idea how reliable a source EC3 is, but there's no denying the booking the past couple of weeks has been a total shitshow. You have Regal turning on Moxley and providing no explanation before being taken out by the heel he helped and getting zero comeuppance from the babyface he screwed over. If they had to write Regal out because he was leaving, there are ways to do it without making Moxley look like a chump and having MJF be the cool heel who outsmarted everyone. Between that and the Elite acting like dorks in Chicago, Punk's comments about working with children sound increasingly prophetic.

Also, Dax looked only slightly taller than Danielson in their match on Dynamite. Size isn't as much of an issue if you're a spectacular high flyer or a workrate guy, but being a meat-and-potatoes guy is a tough road to hoe in WWE if The Miz towers over you.

In fairness, viewership for the first hour of Raw was artificially inflated by being commercial-free, which made the drop-off look more severe than it really was.

WWE TV 11/28 - 12/04 They really handing out penalty kicks to Portugal

I'd say HHH has Booker of the Year in the bag unless WWE completely falls apart and/or AEW catches fire with an earth-shattering angle before the end of the year. Even if the turnaround began under Vince, he kept it going while doing away with or least dialing back on the worst aspects of modern WWE. D'Amore has no shot because a booker's job at the end of the day is to increase business and he hasn't done that no matter how entertaining Impact's shows may be. On that note, Rossy Ogawa deserves serious consideration for what he's done with Stardom. -
The problem with doing best of whatever is it essentially guarantees it'll go that long so there's no need to tune in to see earlier matches because they don't matter. It's the same reason Iron Man matches do poorly in the ratings. They're also seriously overdoing it with teasing babyface turns only to be all "Just kidding, I'm still a heel." Having the fans get behind someone only to pull the rug out from under them time and time again can't help but dampen enthusiasm.

But how many SEC championships has Brazil won? Yeah, that's what I thought. -
"As seen on Peacock" is certainly an interesting way to promote a Teddy Hart indy appearance. And it looks like Brian Kendrick will be on the show as well. It's pretty amusing the lengths to which some bottom-of-the-barrel promoters will go for attention.

Looks like some social media refresher training is necessary.
