Loved the story from Jake Roberts that Savage got in serious trouble with Elizabeth's parents because he promised that he would never let someone put a hand on her like Jake did when slapping her on Tuesday in Texas. Really good episode on Savage. Would have liked to see more about Savage after the divorce and before his second marriage but the reality is that the relationship between Liz and Lex Luger is most more important to the tragedy

I liked that that they had a ton of footage on the show and not just pictures like most of these stories. They even had some WWWF and WWE footage which I don't know how they got the rights to that. Makes me a little more hopeful for the Savage one since I was wondering if the only footage we would get is Memphis and the Poffo territory footage. I understand that Viceland is more of premium channel so there are fewer restrictions on the content but was surprised how much of the bloody footage from Puerto Rico they show. Some footage of fire matches and the Invader #2 "puking blood" angle was something to see . Also not sure how accurate the years were in these videos but 90% of the people watching it wasn't going to know anyway. I think the only thing I wished they talked about how Invader #1 was still pushed and used as a face but that is just me Have a feeling that besides maybe the Bravo and Moolah one we are going to hear the phrase "nothing we didn't already know" a ton of times. But still a damn good episode and produced very well not like some Highspots documentary

As much as I don't consider Taven a heavyweight champion, they really don't have many other options besides having Lethal keep the title even longer than it should be. Marty isn't going to stay in ROH, I don't know how safe it is to put the title on a New Japan guys like Juice Robinson, and chances if the New Japan guys are shaky the CMLL guys will be as well. Maybe RUSH is the best option I don't know Also what does it say about a promotion that has no idea what to do with Jonathan Gresham. I mean this guy is working guys like Ohtani and teaming with Chris Brookes this weekend and you can't even put him in the freaking Honor Rumble match

Because I was pretty terrible with negotiating the transit system of New York and New Jersey so a number of shows I didn't see all of. But some of the great things I did see: 1. Everything that has been said about Gary Jay and Warhorse Parnell has said. Extremely physical. Great way to start my weekend 2. Bloodsport was easily the best overall show I saw that weekend including Wrestlemania. A completely different show than last year. Loved most of the matches except Mir vs Severn and Phil Baroni's complete maybe coked up insanity. The 1st minute of Andy Williams vs Dirty Daddy Chris Dickinson was just incredible and insane. Barnett vs Suzuki was great even though everyone knew it would be a draw early 3. While I was in the minority in this opinion, the idea of using Jushin Liger final US matches in a 6 man with Xpac and Shane Helms seemed like a wasted opportunity. But the going opinion is that it was a greatest hits kind of show so it makes sense. As for the matches I did see, loved Dragon Lee vs Cavenario (misspelled badly) and Shane Strickland vs ZSJ. 4. First half of AIW show (you know the show that apparently had no business working this weekend ), were really good. Dominic Garini vs Joshua Bishop was easily the 2nd most violent match this weekend. Steiner vs Swoggle was hilarious listening to Scott coming out to Short People and doing everything possible to insult him without calling a midget 5. In the trilogy of the Ohtani matches this weekend, I would say his AIW match against Kingston was the best. although his match against Gresham at the Orange Cassidy show was damn good too 6. Yeah the USA vs the World show wasn't that special although I did enjoy the Rascalz 6 man match and David Starr vs Daga 7. Only saw 1st half of Rev Pro show so I at least got to see a great Suzuki-Gun vs Ospreay/Tanahashi match. 8. Night 1 of Janela Spring Break was just awesome. Janela vs Marko Stunt was very good, we got the debut of Dustin Thomas showing that a no legged man can do great things as well against Tony Deppen, and a disgusting awesome death with Jimmy Lloyd vs Masahi Takeda. Also I will be stunned if Shane Mercer isn't signed to NXT in the next couple years. I would say a faster version of Brian Cage and is incredible working with flippy guys 9. LAX vs Rock N Roll Express has to be considered a sleeper match of the weekend. Anybody that doesn't think Ricky and Robert can't go anymore isn't paying attention 10. The Orange Cassidy show was a ton of fun. Lots of goofiness but that is what you would expect. The Nate Webb vs Session Moth Martina drunken match was great, Teddy Hart stole the show being Teddy Hart reading a children book and talking about this weekend, and other really funny stuff. Plus it has Gresham vs Ohtani Probably missing a ton but watched too much

They were doing a ton of advertising of this series at Wrestlemania weekend. There was a big billboard as I went to Met Life Stadium with Brody's face on it. There was one of those banner planes flying most of the day promoting it. Someone said that either the NXT or MSG show there someone showing Gino Hernandez highlight promoting that show.

If it wasn't for the fact that they have a billion dollar company working for them, I would say that ROH would be serious trouble in the next couple years. Like they might not exist trouble. I mean Delirious was terrible at a booker and now stories are that Bully Ray has more of a pull in how things are. The only thing that is stopping them from dropping below TNA AND MLW AND AEW is New Japan. The Beautiful People thing is so "WCW everybody" kind of funny if all the stories are true. Apparently Madison Rayne wanted to start the Beautiful People up before because she wasn't doing anything else in ROH. So they said sure but the 2nd women would be Mandy Leon who would later turn on Madison (or vice versa). Gee I wonder why Mandy was considered in that role. So Madison says screw this goes back to TNA and they bring in the original Beautiful People anyway

Now the new story is that the shoulders were supposed to be up and it is setting up for Becky vs Rousey at next year's WM. Or as it will probably end up being Becky vs Rousey vs Charlotte part 2

I am sure I will offend every New Yorker and most New Jersey people when I saw I don't want WM in that area for a long ass time. Guys should be extra in your paychecks dealing with that transmit mess. Especially those in the Jersey City and New York at night. As being there live I gave the show a B. Kofi vs Bryan was incredible and had all of the emotions you could possibly want. You get the feeling that Kofi winning was special for so many people than "he is a good guy". Especially wrestlers. There was a video showing MVP and Shad Gaspard watching the finish at a bar and they couldn't control themselves in the emotions they were so happy. Yeah it was a WORKRATE MOVEZ classic but story was perfect. I liked Reigns vs Drew a lot more than everyone else did. It is amazing that it only took a month before fans started booing him again. Hell I thought the non battle royal pre show matches were really good. I am sure that the Revival are winning back the belts tonight but like Zach Ryder a couple years ago it was his moment to enjoy. Between that win and the IIconics winning Meltzer was more grumpy that usual. Triple H vs Batista was just terrible. Lashley vs Balor was fine but at the 7 hour mark nobody wanted to see it. Yeah seeing a 50 year Cena doing WORD LIFE is odd but man that crowd lost its shit for it. The story behind the finish is getting more and more nutty. First it was "the ref fucked up the finish and becky was supposed to beat Charlotte" to "that was the finish but Rousey fucked up raising the shoulder" to "Rousey lifted her shoulder on purpose to screw with Becky's finish cause they have HEAT" or some shit like that. It seems like the story of Rousey not wanting to job to Becky got way more attention then it should have.

I can completely see the DC police putting Becky and Rousey in the same cop car by the way. That last shot on Rousey by Charlotte hard to hurt like a fucker. Yet that is STILL not as crazy as Ronda trying to drive a cop car HANDCUFFED Fuck I hope they have Rousey show up on the Tonight show in the handcuffs. Hell I hope all three show up at WM in handcuffs. That might make the match better how batshit crazy that was A month ago I was sure that we would get Roode/Gable vs Ricochet/Black vs Revival in some kind of match. Now it wouldn't surprise me if all 6 of them are in the battle royal Man Andrade and Mustafa Ali being in this battle royal is some bullshit. Oh well got nothing for them except a new name
