According to Enuhito's twitter, Jay White is going to be working regularly ROH after the next big New Japan show. It is about time he got his chance to work in the US and get past the 'young lions' level.
-
Yeah I am sure putting Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in 10+ plus minute promo at 9:00 is going to stop that wave of people going to TNT for Game 7. I mean it is probably not worth trying but putting Cena there seems like better sense.

It is definitely an act that is better in smaller amounts. But that has never been the WWE strategy

Gymnastics in pro wrestling/the Ricochet-Ospreay/Vader drama
hammerva replied to GOTNW's topic in Pro Wrestling
I do have a problem with this argument that all of choreographed stuff is against the foundation of wrestling because it isn't a "fight that you are trying to win". First of all if that was the case an entire match would be nothing but submissions or moves into a pinfall. But with the exception of the flippy posing sequence in the beginning, most of these spots are done with the intention that this will hurt enough to get the win to the people watching. -
Gymnastics in pro wrestling/the Ricochet-Ospreay/Vader drama

My only real criticism is of the opening flippy sprint spots is the point from Ricochet that they are trying to show this story of how they know each other so well and it is a constant game of can you top this. Well if that is the case then why are you doing the EXACT SAME sequence than the match you did from EVOLVE at Wrestlemania weekend. If you are going to say that a rivalry only exists in the promotion you are currently wrestling in fine but if it is an overall "wrestling business" kind of thing then your argument holds no water at all. The most important thing is that as much as we thought being the "internet", the New Japan lost their fucking minds on it. I mean when have you heard a "This is Awesome" chant in Japan. Now if they do this more and more in Japan, the crowd is going to completely shit on it -
Styles has to have some kind of concussion with all of these insane bumps on his head and neck. Or a death wish Well the Styles Clash is officially a dead move. I mean 2 times and nothing This match was a complete car crash and great.
-
AJ was so high in the air on that back drop that he basically leg dropped the announcers table Roman has been doing a ton of new moves in this match so far with great impact They just spend minutes talking about Reigns knee going out and then no sells it completely on that vicious border toss
-
Well you knew Charlotte was winning so they had to come up with something hokey. Plus Dana Brooke really should be a second to someone like Tamina was and because she isn't ready in the ring
-
I am pretty sure Jericho's shoulders weren't down but if it ended the match and showed the visual of his arm and elbow covered in tacks then it was worth it
-
Speaking of Alvarez, apparently there was a segment that was pulled from the PPV and this is how they decided to add the extra time. If true, how awful was that segment for an extra 10 minute of this
-
Not to sound too Bryan Alvarez like but this match feels like it has been 40 minutes long. I mean it feels like the other matches time will be cut it is so long
-
Well there was no way the match after 4 way was going to be topped it so might as well be here. The only thing really bad about this will be Jericho telling anyone that will listen how incredible the match is
-
The goofy horror music isn't helping. The potted plant is definitely the finish but I bet the mop and bucket is the 2nd most used weapon
-
Anybody that doesn't give ALL 4 of those guys credit for that match is just an idiot. I am sure people will be pissed the Miz won but he was well awesome. His best performance since his world title days
-
Holy shit this 4 way is great.
-
JBL saying "Lariatooooooo" is definitely going to be a popular square in the 2016 version of his bingo game Usos being guilty by association with Roman is really kind of stupid but it doesn't surprise me. I mean they are just as awesome and yet now we are going to hate them? If Russev wins tonight then it pretty much guarantees when John Cena is going to do when he comes back in a couple weeks. Although Russev really does need to be champion
-
Still have no idea how showing bugs fucking is some kind of symbolism for this PPV.
-
Yeah if your show is of a historical nature like Between the Sheets or Exile then making it only an hour or so is stifling the information. The longer the better I say. But if you are doing a weekly show on current topics, there is no reason to go more than an hour unless there is something huge going on like a Wrestlemania. While I like listening to them, it is baffling that Talking Sheet is always over 2 hours and can easily be cut to 90 minutes.
-
Wait Dijak is considered a heel for beating up Martini and Lethal who are actually heels? Or did they turn him again in the last month and I haven't seen it yet
-
Between the Sheets #42 (May 3-9, 1993) (Featuring Dave Prazak)
hammerva replied to KrisZ's topic in Publications and Podcasts
i assume that the ECW explosion match that Dave Prazak was remembering the Public Enemy vs Badd Company exploding cage match that apparently was so awful and screwed up it will never see the light of day. -
Yeah if there are still people that believe Reigns can't get over as THE GUY or that Styles isn't a main eventer the end of the match blew that out of the water. I mean when was the last time you heard a crowd that invested in Reigns
-
If Dijak shouldn't be a factor in the title hunt, why in the world did they do that angle to have him take out Truth Martini? Only thing I guess is that they saw that promo he cut a couple weeks later and said fuck it
-
Well it is a good thing that a New Japan guy actually lost in Ring of Honor other than Gedo but having it be Ishii to a choke out from Bobby Fish is just strange and something that was mostly done to shock the crowd Love the idea of they Young Bucks promoting a record number of super kicks in a 8 man match that should be loaded with flippy crazy shit and there was none of them. Very smart. Now ruining a main event to basically restart the Bullet Club in ROH with Adam Cole as the member is just lazy rehashing of the them in New Japan with a finish straight out of 1997 NWO Maybe this finish would be better if we didn't have a really intriguing and somewhat fresher angle at the end of the Evolve show the night before.
-
Not sure if it is just me but I could listen to a 30 minute show with nothing but Pat Patterson "so we take them to a gay bar" stories involving wrestlers. I mean even the concept of Ricky Steamboat in a gay bar in early 1980's is just hilarious
-
I doubt that since they have "kids" on the show (Russev & Kevin Owens) that weren't around during that time
