  1. Interesting promo in that Funk is paying no attention to the camera while confronting Gordon directly.
  2. That actress with Cactus was heavy on the black face.
  3. Overload of denim by Flair. Doug Dillinger the civilian tries to play peacemaker between Dusty and the Assassin.
  4. Bischoff could have fit seamlessly into Saved by the Bell as a waiter at The Max.
  5. We get a rundown but Smothers still steals the victory. Brian Lee ends up helping out Smothers. But Lee turns on Smothers! The clothesline while Smothers was sitting down in the chair was pretty sweet.
  6. We get ourselves a nice Jackie Fargo video segment. I so enjoy King trying to make legit sense of him being a heel in WWF on Memphis TV. He’s bad! He means business and he loves the folks in Memphis while not caring much for those New York cityslickers. I so love this feud and it must have been so fantastic for those Memphis folks to be watching it live at the time.
  7. Crazy stuff with the Tag Titles switching hands multiple times between Money, Inc and Steiner Brothers. Monsoon doing the Update segments as Okerlund’s run is coming to an end. Big push for the house shows where anything can happen!
  8. I do enjoy with WWF debuting the King of the Ring PPV with Lawler obviously being the King of wrestling and then we have Gilbert playing up a similar angle. Gilbert meets the peasants of Philadelphia.
  9. Heyman is in a van doing his social media stuff and talking up Gilbert becoming the King of Philadelphia.
  10. Again I think it’s pretty impressive that this stuff led to Razor turning face so soon after. Kid can’t beat Razor this time so smartly just runs off with the money bag instead.
  11. Criss cross! Bruno would have appreciated that one. Absolutely love this match! They do they whole referee reversal finish which I loath but I’m just so high on this match I end up not caring. Marty had such a strong run in 1993 through early 94 in WWF. It’s not any breakthrough comment but damn was Doink so awesome during this stretch. This is probably my favorite WWF match of the year so far. Doink is such a missed opportunity for WWF at this point. He could have been such a solid uppercard guy. Why this warranted two out of three falls I don’t know but I don’t care cause we got a great match. WWF Raw was delivering some excellent matches.
  12. My usual comment about how I dislike four corner chain matches. Not a particular violent match in any means which goes against why Terry was talking up in his previous promos. Heyman clocks Tod Gordon which will always get a good cheer out of me.
  13. Roma is such a unnatural fit for the Horsemen. Flair calls out Windham and wants the title shot.
  14. I can’t believe they are still doing this show. Colonel Parker ranks Flair up there with Arsenio which gives me a real good laugh.
  15. There was some serious volleyball infractions during this game. Harley is funny. Cheatum the shark! This is so campy ridiculous. Cheatum plants on a bomb on the boat of Sting/Bulldog. I love how Vader and Sid are in wrestling gear on the beach. Bulldog hits a vicious flying clothesline on Sting to protect him from getting blown up! Quite the field trip for those kids to be able to play volleyball on a deserted island.
  16. New Jack! So mellow compared to the SMW 1994 version of himself.
  17. And here we go! Jarrett has made previous challenges to Bret Hat which went unanswered. Lawler is ready to make that challenge himself. Jerry is the real King of wrestling. I just love how they totally ignored WWF TV where Lawler attacked Bret from behind.
  18. Bombs away! Maybe not the total asskicking brawl I expected going in. Okay, it picked up as match went on but just wasn’t as strong as I would think with the build up to things. Tenryu finally gets himself a victory for the year.
  19. Big pop for when Flair tags in and finally returns to WCW ring action. I’m immediately stumped why we never get a singles Flair versus Austin feud as just feel like they would have been great natural opponents for each other during Flair’s face run. Has Flair ever beat anyone with a flying forearm??!! So the good guys win the first fall. I hate that finish with Flair/Anderson winning two straight falls but because of the DQ on second fall the titles don’t change. Really needed to give Austin/Pillman at least one fall with them being the hot tag team.
  20. Jesse having trouble with the name of the building they are wrestling in. Probably my favorite Scorpio match. I thought he would get too excessive in ECW and hated his hitting big moves and never going for covers during those matches. Barry reigns him in and we get an excellent match. Windham just looks great and when Scorpio starts to fly the crowd are so into match by that point. I liked it being a clean match with the better man Windham getting the victory. He didn’t need to cheat and really added more to him being one of the best guys in 1993.
  21. Eddie must have just bought that Phillies baseball hat as it is barely broken in.
  22. Love me some big elimination tag matches. I enjoy that these NJPW/WAR matches always seem to have Tenryu start off with either Hash or Choshu. No holding off or waiting around until they match up. Loved Hashimoto going cray with the repeated knees while holding Tenryu in a facelock and then hitting a big DDT. Big surprise with Tenryu getting eliminated so early. WAR guys hung around for a while but it got a bit too one sided in NJPW’s favor with Tenryu gone so early on.
  23. Muta does his running the aisle/ramp move and ends up charging almost into the ring post. Blood for both guys. Not really a good match and not sure why Muta ain’t going over as we get a DQ finish instead.
  24. Fine match but even after watching it twice still don’t feel strong about either way. Top rope powerbomb was pretty awesome though.
