Wow, this is probably the best match of the year so far for me. Kawada's cheap shots in the early going set the standard. Kobashi gets his knee destroyed for a good time and Misawa is there to save him. By the matches end it's reversed and the injured Kobashi is out to save Misawa. There is a great tease throughout involving Misawa-Kawada. They get in a nice little stare off in the center of the ring that gets the crowd really riled up. However, I like that they save it for 6/3/94. Kobashi's massive push continues as he gets the win over Taue which I'm happy with. This was a great all around performance from all four men notably Kawada and Kobashi. It was just a terrific and awesome classic.

This is another Jake psych match with Mark Curtis taking a fall and Jake tying DWB in the ropes with his wrist tape. Dirty White Girl tries to save DWB but Jake gives her a DDT and tries to lay a snake on her. She gets stretchered out. This was a great angle but just a so so match.

The crowd loved this. This wasn't too bad actually. I feel bad that Yoko was on a slow path to irrelevance though.

This was really lame and uncomfortable. I did like the Mark Henry shout out by Vince though.

This was a respectable brawl but nothing else. Jake was amusing sliding in and around the ring on his hands and knees insulting Cien Caras. It wouldn't shock me if he was under the influence during this either. The match went on way too long as well. I thought it was okay for what it was.

There are definitely a few great talents in this. That showed here as well. I loved the pacing of this match and I was entertained throughout the entire thing. Liger did adapt well to the style for sure. I'm fairly new to lucha and I'm sure I'll see better than this but it delivered and I was pleased with the result.

I was shocked at how good I thought this was. Black Cat was really the star here using tremendous offense to try and put away Sagrada. In just two falls Sagrada sneaks away with the victory as he reverses a powerbomb attempt in the first fall and wins by DQ in the second fall after a questionable spike piledriver from Black Cat. This was totally unique from most lucha libre because Black Cat had so much power offense in his arsenal. I enjoyed this quite a bit.

This is a weird match. I didn't think it was terrible but it wasn't anything special either. There were some things I enjoyed and there were even some nice near falls but they didn't lead to anything. Public Enemy's involvement then Arn's turn were aggravating. The brawling was solid and I thought it was quite the novelty seeing Arn and Bobby Eaton work in the ECW arena. I just don't have anything interesting or compelling to say about this match. I'd probably say it was more bad than good? I don't know but all that really happened is this match occurred with a good promo at the end by Paul. E.

This was pretty outstanding. The match structure was laid out really well here. It mixes scientific and brawling brilliantly. The floor spots were used as transition into the next segment of the match which I liked. I think the match started out great and slowed down a bit. It progressively got more interesting as time went by and really got good after the sleeper spot. The finishing stretch was tremendous and the finish was a unique surprise. Obviously the crowd was more invested in this as well because the pacing was more fluid and brawling was inserted in with everything else. I would probably agree this is the last classic from both guys as well.

Larry cuts a really awesome promo on American history, Ted Turner, and putting over his match with Regal at Slamboree. One hell of a promo.

This is a tremendous angle. Jake cuts a brilliant promo. He's so fucking great at this stuff. The match is another piece of work. The psychology is extremely smart here. The entire match is Jake's manipulation of DWB's injured eye. Everything is so well laid out it's very impressive. DWB gets his eye patch ripped off by The Samurai. Jake targets the eye and man is he great at it. He ends it all by beating up a camera man and stealing the camera. He flashes the camera in DWB's eye and gives him the DDT for the win and the SMW title. Bob Caudle and Les Thatcher are excellent on commentary as well really putting over the seriousness of the eye injury and discussing the psychology in depth. Jake's methodical execution is outstanding in this. Brilliantly worked match.

Tully looks old as fuck in 1994. He does cut a great promo hyping he and Terry Funk at Slamboree. Great stuff.

This is a good angle but there are way too many turns going on at this point. I have no clue who is face or heel at times in this promotion. I did enjoy Eddie Gilbert's "I am the USWA!" speech. This is pretty good stuff but oh so confusing.

This was really amusing to me. Especially the uncomfortable comment by the "expert" at the end of the segment. Quite amusing stuff.
