  1. Started my set yesterday after it arrived and this was the first item for viewing. I just sat there for a second after it was over and was speechless. Cheesy, over-the-top, and strange, to say the least, but it was definitely memorable. I'm just glad none of these guys quit their day jobs...
  2. Thank you, blk. That's what I figured, but just wanted to be sure (though if saying negative things about Big Show was a bannable offense, I doubt there'd be many left).
  3. I keep getting a "Account has been suspended" page when I go there tonight. Does that mean the site itself was suspended or that I was banned? Because I haven't posted there in a few months and would find it weird if I was banned out of the blue.
  4. Admittedly, I haven't seen much from the 70's, but a few I watched recently that I enjoyed: Terry Funk Vs. Jumbo Tsuruta 6/11/76 The Funk Bros. Vs. Abdullah The Butcher & The Shiek 7/15/79 & 12/13/79 Jerry Lawler Vs. Harley Race 12/77 (One-Hour Draw)
  5. Thought I'd jump in here as I can see both sides of this. I can't recall seeing Kane in a GREAT singles match. I've seen several good ones. I liked the Angle match at Wrestlemania, but on the whole, Kane has always struck me as a guy who is capable of having a great match, but never seems to have one, for whatever reason. He's been in tons of Wrestlecrap angles (Katie Vick, etc.) and as far as I can recall, has never had a legit run in the main event scene, despite being in WWE for 15 years. His association with The Undertaker has both helped and hindered his career. It helped in the sense that it got him involved in a major player's storylines from time to time, but it hurt because he rarely gets his own stuff. The stuff he does get is crap, angles that can only hurt one's career and I have to speculate that there could be something political behind the scenes that kept his career from ever going anywhere to be stuck with such absolute garbage to work with...seriously, did anyone really expect the Katie Vick thing to succeed? He's essentially Undertaker-lite. However, after 15 years, his character is about as stale as can be. I can see why no one wants to watch him work anymore. I can't recall him ever having a serious injury and it seems like he's always been there, so he's never been away long enough to get a real overhaul. Hell, I stopped watching wrestling after the Benoit tragedy for a good 3-4 years and I was still sick of Kane when I started watching again. However, I think he's been a solid guy for the company and I also don't recall coming out of many Kane matches thinking it was the worst thing I'd ever seen.
  6. Paul Roma as a Horseman Red Rooster, though I don't think anyone could have suited that garbage. Al Snow as a Rocker Barry Windham as a Blackjack (Yes, I know who his father was, but it just didn't seem right at all)
  7. I think there needs to be an authority figure, but I do think they've overdone since the Attitude Era feuds. The thing with Tunney was, back in those days, the WWF didn't have as many big decisions because they didn't have as many big shows since the weekly programming was usually full of squash matches. Amped up, I could have seen Jack Tunney around a lot more if they had Raw-like programming back in that time period. Even back in the early RAW days, they had Gorilla Monsoon in Tunney's role. However, gimmick celebrities and GM's of the week are a ridiculous concept and it seems like no GM can make an impartial decision anymore. They punish the guys they don't like and help out their favorites. It makes no sense. I don't mind the role itself, just the execution of it in the past few years. I'd like to see them have a permanent GM who is able to be believable in the role, someone similar to Monsoon who comes in now and again to make a ruling, but largely doesn't get too involved, a little like J.J. Dillon did on Nitro without the bias. Do they need to come out and announce the matches week in and week out to get crowd pops/heat? I don't think so. It's just become a way to get a legend or guest celebrity on the show and it's gotten a little tired, although I can admit I somewhat enjoy it when they break out the Anonymous GM on Raw.
