  1. Was that a spoof on the Triple H pat in the back opening promo he does (or did) for NXT?
  2. This whole discussion is something else, wow.
  3. Owens attacked Big E backstage (though we were only shown E on the floor grabbing his injured knee) and Xavier sent Kofi alone while he helped the big fella.
  4. Hasn't Dolph done this "it should be me!" shit enough times though? I lost count how many times it was about "I should be doing better/have that spot because I steal the show!"
  5. I think my issue with Dolph's promo is that I just don't care about him at all and I can't get into anything he says any more. It came off as goofy and poorly acted. A jealousy angle is whatever. But I can see how other (most?) people would feel different.
  6. Taker vs Goldberg at parts unknown. MBS the GOAT 90's booker.
  7. That promo was uh, something.
  8. How the hell did this promo not make TV?! This is the only dude on the roster that makes wins and loses matter, put his opponents over and finds a spin to look forward his stuff even with bullshit 50/50 booking Again, give him all the belts.
  9. No fucking words...
  10. Haven't seen it and have no interest in watching the show, but was that spot crazier than the Kalisto one?
  11. They can still do that when he drops it. I still don't see the issue. It's not like they have to rush Omega vs PAC. On the contrary, that's the type of match they can and should take a lot of time building to.
  12. But they were struggling to sell tickets in most shows they did in the US besides the G1 Specials. Mostly because New Japan did a horrible job promoting and scheduling them, the problems continuing isn't surprising or a sign of them missing the Bucks, imo. But the US expansion was always sold like this. A bunch of house shows style events mainly done to give the LA dojo people an opportunity to show their stuff. Meji has made it a bigger deal than Kidani, but it has never been sold like a game changer. It's been fans and reporters that have made it a big deal, specially because some of the shows did great and because they do book 1 or 2 big ones a year, in 2019 they have MSG and G-1 at Dallas, the rest is just meh. Disagree again. At this stage, AEW doesn't have the pull to make the Dream Gate champion job to a guy like Page. If this was Omega, I'd agree with your argument though. Actually this makes even less sense to me. If the problem was "we don't know if PAC is gonna pull this shit against Kenny while he's champ" then save that match for later when he drops the strap. It's a pretty damn big match up and there's no rush to book it. You make PAC beat Page, cut the same promo he did in the UK and save his return for that big encounter against a bigger name were you make him take the L.
  13. Strong BJ 6 man tag at Korakuen, of course this is fucking piff it's basically a preview/buildup of the Daisuke vs Yuji title match in Yokohama, and it has 10 times the intensity and urgency that match had. Both Sekimoto and specially Okabayashi are awesome as the "captains" of their teams, Kamitani did his thing, Nomura was of course dope and vicious when needed, Daichi was seemed more motivated than usual and Hyodo is the newest young lion out of their dojo, and he gets some pretty nice spots as a human wrecking ball. I guess most people would only see this as a "recommendation", but whatever, I dare y'all to not have fun watching it!!
  14. I was searching for reviews of the Bret vs Magee match in the "The Matches" section and didn't find anything. If that's not an indication PWO is in a downtime, I don't know what is.
  15. I still believe this promotion wont cater to what I like about wrestling - at least for the most part - but I hope they knock it out of the park and are able to give a presentation and feel that's different to anything else that's going on right now. Wrestling needs it.
  16. Not sure how to explain what I felt watching this. As far as fun and innovative offense, there's not a lot better than these two. That alone makes this worth the watch, though it does feel a little long even with a good running time (22 minutes aprox.) as they do a bunch of holds and pretty much none of them had any sort of payoff at any point. I guess I would this a fun "hold fest", they exchange and bunch of shit, struggle a lot to get in control but it has little meaning. Thing is, what they do is just fun as hell to watch.
  17. I don't think anyone is arguing that WWE will do it or is realistically capable of pulling that sort of thing right now. My point was that the task at hand - a big change in presentation - is not that difficult. It's a shame they wont do it when it's right there for them to give their product a nice (and needed) spark that doesn't even require that much effort.
  18. The things is, wrestling lends itself to a big angle that would lead to a complete overhaul of the presentation of the product. Like, you can build something up so when the FOX debut happens, you get a whole new different feel for the show that was provided because of a big match/angle. And in this day and age they've done so little programs with big and real stakes that if they do one that ends with such a big change, it would probably do great in the ratings and business.
  19. The fact they announced 240 things in a week is mind blowing in itself.
  20. Give this man all the fucking belts, seriously. Let's see how quickly they lose those titles though
  21. Actually this seems like it's building up to Vince saying "fuck it" and ending the brand split
  22. Shane vs Roman feud? aw man, fuck that shit.
  23. So what is the Wild Card rule? I tuned in because I read D-Bry showed up and is wrestling tonight, but the commentary team did nothing to explain that shit, just said this match was happening because of it EDIT: Ah, now Cole explained it.
