Roman vs Bryan for the title so soon would probably be taken by fans as "WWE screwing poor Kofi to shove Reigns down our throats agan!". Not sure they would boo the samoan out of the building like old times but a 50/50 reaction at minimum would be my guess. I'd much rather see a Roman/DB feud not for the title ending in a big gimmick match at Summersam. With Rey gone to RAW, I can still picture Bryan being able to have an apuestas match and make a "hair vs hair" match work.
-
I don't think they know who is going where yet, so they've smartly kept a lot of people out of RAW and SD so they aren't tied to any programs before the shakeup. Bryan going to RAW would make sense but I think he would push against that idea and it's been pretty clear he gets to do what he wants now. If him and Rey are on the same roster, I think that's his next big program, not Kofi.

So the post Mania RAW averaged 1 million less viewers than last year.....BUUUURNNN IT DOOOOOOOOOWN. It was still the n°1 con cable for the 18-49 demo so everything is not lost I guess? All jokes aside, does anyone have an idea of what kind of ratings they are gonna need for Friday night once they go to Fox? At this point it seems they will be moved to FS1 in November
-
They probably didn't want to start any new programs for them considering the shakeup is next week. One of those three will probably go to SD. And, most importantly, Vince is gonna decide who goes where on Sunday afternoon and still change his mind on Monday
-
Didn't even think about him tbh. I guess because with him you knew before the bell rang that the crowd was likely to turn on his match.
-
They are giving him A+ material for next week at least.
-
This is not his fault at all this time, but Rollins gotta be the main eventer whose had most matches hijacked by the crowd, no? It's either him or Orton
-
Welp no one saw the Bar coming at least.

RAW after Mania always has the best returns!

Cole was the drizzling shit for 5 years during that 06-11 stretch. He was particularly awful during his heel turn. Control your stanning
-
Adam Cole interferes and starts a feud with Rollins?

WWE having 3 interbrand titles one week before the superstar shakeup would be something else

Ronda didn't have a Taker that would "tape his fists" to avoid any type of fuckery

[2019-04-07-WWE-Wrestlemania 35] Daniel Bryan vs Kofi Kingston
Jmare007 replied to paul sosnowski's topic in April 2019
I can't stress enough how much I love that the more the indy style takes over WWE's big matches, the more refreshing Bryan's take on his bouts gets. This time we get a long shine segment! when was the last time we saw that from a big title match?? Kofi was a little nervous so the execution was a little off at first, but it was a great way of making the bump to the commentary table feel like a game changer. Once that happens Bryan takes over and it's a fucking masterclass, this dude worked a fucking WAIST LOCK for minutes and made it work. In WWE. In 2019. Best in the cotdamn world stuff. Loved the the little things like Bryan punching Kofi in the ribs so he could lock the Lebell Lock properly. Kofi did his thing selling and showing great fire during his numerous comebacks, which were beatifully cut off by Bryan. Crowd was LIT for Kofi, they wanted a title change, they could feel it, and in the end, they got it. I had huge hopes for this match and it delivered in spades. What a match, what a moment. This is what Wrestlemania should always be about! -
Hunter did it again, longest match of the night was him vs Batista
-
I can't believe I'm saying this because I was always against this idea but at this point, make Mania a 2 day show that runs 3 hours each. Everyone gets to work on it, WWE sells a ton a of tickets - probably not 2 sellouts but at least they'll get 1 and a big attendance for the other day - and you don't make anyone sit through eternity and ruin the chance of having a big and special moment for the main event.
-
I remember PWO hating it because it "tainted" (at least during the moment) the classic Brock and Roman were having. I wasn't happy because fuck Seth Rollins but the live crowd LOVED it.
-
I can't remember a single thing from 32 or 34 besides them having atrocious main events. I'll remember Bryan vs Kofi forever so this Mania has that going against the other ones at least. I did tune out for like an hour after Kofi vs DB though, and after the Cena segment I just watched bits and pieces Hunter vs Bautista.
-
Rollins at 31 was pretty spot on too. Reigns and Brock had a classic and won the crowd over but everyone on that building went home happy they didn't get a Roman coronation.
-
Ronda went for her finisher, Becky turned it into a crucifix pin, Ronda's shoulder was up at 1 but the ref kept counting and Becky got the pin. Not sure if it was a botch, but it felt underwhelming as fuck. Match was fine but with such a spent crowd, it takes away the special feel it should've had.
