Watching the RAW After Show DVD and the "Takeroonie" thing is one of the best things I've seen in a long ass time. Sadly it has a horrible payoff but the build up to was outstanding. -

I'm not even sure Flair was drunk. He's normally way over the top and tries to steal the show when he's wasted. Besides I highly doubt they would've let him go out there if they knew he was drunk. I'm worried about him. Ever since Reid died he seems so out of it. It's like we are watching him turn into the Iron Sheik
-
How do they go that route, though? Nobody wants to see Cena doing 'psychological' style stuff with The Wyatt Family in a boiler suit, it would soon get old and ridiculous. They should save the Cena turn for something huge, anyway, this feud doesn't feel like it is right for it. Obviously him cheating to end the streak would have been perfect, but that is gone now. Costing Daniel Bryan the title would give him crazy heat. If he's gonna win on Sunday, that's their best bet imo. Have Cena feud with Bryan for a couple of PPVs, with him getting increasingly more frustrated as he can't beat D-Bry and the crowd booing the fuck out of him until he can't take it anymore and finally turns. But who am I kidding, they are not turning him any time soon. I'm glad he's been involved in an interesting feud since forever though
-
After they showed another Cena Make-A-Wish emotional video I don't think there's even a chance of him losing on Sunday. Let alone a legit heel turn.
-
I think the title match would be more compelling if Kane made it clear he doesn't give a fuck about the belt. He's there to destroy Bryan and after Extreme Rules he's vacating the title and giving it to Steph
-
Man, it really hurts the quality of the show when The Shield, Wyatts and Bryan are only appearing for 1 segment each and not pulling double duty to give us fun 10-20 minute matches.
-
Loved the opening segments. Creepy and fun to watch. What's the Over/Under on Steph saying Bryan is cursed as a champion and mentioning his dad and little Connor's deaths?

[2014-04-06-WWE-Wrestlemania XXX] HHH vs Daniel Bryan
Jmare007 replied to Loss's topic in April 2014
Watching this for the 3rd time. I didn't realize Hunter hurt his leg so early in the match. I knew he had suffer some kind of injury when he had that huge tape over his left thigh the next night but had no clue it happened 5 minutes into the match. When Bryan does the crazy dive from the top rope you can see HHH's thigh having a huge bruise and getting purple.- 16 replies

That, and we avoid a possible Cesaro IC reign that would only lead to him becoming a JTTS and having no real feuds.
-
I really started paying attention when they came back from the break. And the silence for Cesaro's control section was weird considering RVD is usually very over.
-
Damn, crowd doesn't give a fuck about RVD.

I really don't see how Bryan loses any steam with this feud/match...unless it goes for longer than Extreme Rules. And even if that was the case, I wouldn't think it would be irreparable damage at all. Like they could come back with a Wyatt or Cena feud and he would be right were he was after Mania imo. I'm not interested in the match though, it will be fun I guess but meh, I've seen them work against each other enough times. The only thing I could come up with was them trying to show that Kane wasn't controllable anymore. But after the break Steph made that insincere comment and confirmed that she was just playing in the opening segment so I have no clue
-
Yeah, he's gonna be on RAW. I hope they don't play that into a storyline (even if Bryan is OK with it). Sad news.
-
I remember a horrible battle royal in PWG that was saved in the last 5-7 minutes by what Piper and Funk did against each other. Can't remember how the singles match that followed (in another indy promotion) was though.

Terry Funk and Slaughter? Jake The Snake?

It could go all Ryback though... That's a very real possibility. Highly doubt it. Ryback ended up flopping because they kept putting him in high profile matches were him winning wasn't seen as the best scenario by the company (vs Punk, Shield and Cena) until he was just another guy and ended up in the dreaded midcard limbo. With Reigns, it seems they'll be pretty comfortable putting him over pretty much anyone. I also think Roman has way more potential than Ryback so having more patience/faith in him makes sense. -
Yeah, I think there's money on Brock winning the title at Summerslam and Bryan going on another quest for the title. Basically the Morishima feud but with the giant never losing the belt (btw, did you watch the Manhattan Mayhem II match?). Besides, I don't see the point in giving Brock the streak just to lose his first match back, they gotta try to milk that W as much as possible imo.
-
IIRC that was Cole andTazz calling that match on the DVD.
-
You mean his whole run in the main event (since Summerslam last year) or this last couple of weeks. I mean, we can't judge what they've done with him since Mania yet, it's only been 1 show.
-
Once they factor in international buys (500-550k aprox nornally) then this makes it the most watched PPV ever, right? (at least legally).
-
That's Dave being Dave. He's been trying to set expectations as low as possible when it comes to D-Bry for the longest. He was downplaying Punk's status in the company when he got his big title reign too. But only when Bryan was getting his main event run last year, Meltzer started talking about Punk's status in the company (since 2011) as a big deal.
