  1. That felt like something WWE would've done.
  2. I don't think there's anything concrete on Bryan but he's attending Starrcast and doing a podcast with Renee so I'm sure he's gonna tell what happened.
  3. I feel like Kenny coming back would be a huge deal for the company. I do wonder if that angle they have planned means they are gonna "rush" Cole back or if Tony came up with a buffer so they can take their time until the inevitable Elite vs UE feud.
  4. What about Chono? Haven't watch the first G-1 Final or the Rude match in almost a decade but would those qualify as his best match possible?
  5. Yikes. I read TK quotes about Danielson and Cole's concussions and how "cautious" he's being with them by not rushing them back (though in Cole case, he was having a number of lingering issues before his last concussion) and then immediately read your post and it's like wtf.
  6. No doubt about it.
  7. 2.Coke is a great example of putting a talent in a position to succeed, he's fucking awesome in the role he's in right now.
  8. The lack of reporting on stuff AEW doesn't want out there shows there probably aren't a lot of disgruntled people in positions of power/importance in the company, which s a great thing for the promotion. But at the same time, it exposes how bad wrestling journalism is. As in, they either don't want to report what they know so they don't get on TK's bad side or they have no sources worth a damn that will talk to them about anything that isn't positive.
  9. I feel AEW needs a closer relationship with Stardom than with New Japan because they have a lot of young talent on the women's side that needs to work more and develop on all aspects of wrestling and trips to Japan would greatly benefit them. And of course, 4-6 month runs from awesome wrestlers like Io would help them as well.
  10. Thanks, 120k is a great number. One would guess it's also the floor for AEW considering the lack of U.S stars and all the difficulties FD had. And if that's the floor, it's a pretty healthy one.
  11. That sounds like a great a number. What does "NJPW subs" mean though? people in the U.S with a NJ World sub? people that were watching through the NJ stream worldwide? or just new subscribers overall to that app?
  12. We'll see in the coming weeks if this is any sort of sustainable but I wouldn't say Blood & Guts had the best of build ups so that many people tuning in (compared to the previous weeks) as soon as the interpromotional feud was over might be very telling.
  13. 2.Coke should be a part of every hardcore brawl, dude bumps and bleeds like a madman. Agreed on the match dragging for too long and towards the end it got kinda ridiculous with both Jericho and Eddie laying around for minutes while there was no other action (after we got like 40+ minutes of it, all over the place). Loved the ending in the sense that continues to build towards Eddie not being able to get his full revenge. It's quite something that finish would've worked the same if it was Claudio or Danielson getting the W. Did anyone take a clean bump over the exposed canvas? Eddie was right there but I didn't catch him taking a bump. If he did, it would definitely explain why he was hurting so bad.
  14. Shouldn't Eddie costs his team the W again? He has made no effort to become someone reliable that can't let bygones be bygones for the good of his teams and current feud, lol. I'd love for him to win the match while at the same time getting into a fight with Claudio and getting him eliminated though, that would be badass and hilarious at the same damn time.
  15. Not his shoulders! dude had them taped up for like half a decade, he can't get hurt too!
  16. Randy Orton did get more popular in the last 8 months. And then he got injured
  17. I don't think there's real solution in today's climate to the problem of balancing who gets to work (and have the best match possible) and when they get to work. I think the fanbase is way too spoiled nowadays so you either get the injury bug like they have or they get shitted on for rotating talent "too much" and not showcasing *insert your favorite wrestler(s)* enough. You also have guys like Danielson begging to work more because they feel their bodies get more accustomed to bumps if you are doing it regularly instead of sporadically. And he gets an "undisclosed" injury (concussion?) after taking it easy for 6-8 straight weeks and "finally" going all out on the PPV match.
  18. Yup. Technically he was the first talent off the show due to injury, lol.
  19. Ok, this is ridiculous. Now Ishii got injured. Put everyone on a bubble until Sunday, can't take no more chances anymore https://twitter.com/njpwglobal/status/1540107440380735488
  20. Yuta is booked for another match at Forbidden Door and I'm positivo Danielson said his replacement was for both matches.
  21. The only thing that makes me sorta doubt it's Claudio is that he should've showed up last night if he was the replacement to build some hype. Maybe it's an awesome wrestler that wouldn't create that much buzz (which, to be fair, goes in line with a lot of Tony's reveals) so I could see him being Gresham, Thatcher or even Busick.
  22. That promo should've been made by Regal and they should've made the announcement of who is the replacement. As it stands, I think Danielson's segment hurts more than helps. As a fan that wanted to see him wrestle both shows I ain't paying to see this mystery hand picked wrestler (even if it's Gresham, Claudio or Thatcher) and I'm left just as puzzled as to what he has. Considering he spoke about his brain functioning I still think it was a concussion but we still have no fucking clue when he might be back. All in all, that was a bummer to start with that could've been saved with an actual replacement that could've interacted with ZSJ instead of that useless faceoff from the ramp with a guy he's gonna wrestle with who knows when.
  23. Yeah, the show sold out and it's gonna do another 1 million dollar gate so if anything, future joint shows will just be special TV shows.
  24. I agree, If Danielson is "just" gonna be out 2-3 months then there is no need to continue to put doom & gloom on your TV. Which is why I think it's either really bad news or they might work an angle with the JSA to kayfabe injure him to explain his absence. Then again, if it's truly a concussion, they can't do anything physical (to the point of doing an angle around it, at least).
  25. Bryan Alvarez, who first reported that Danielson would be back "in 1-2 weeks" after his injury, now is saying Dragon "probably won't wrestle for quite some time", missing the PPV and Blood & Guts. If this is true, I wonder if he's gonna make an appearance because his issues are serious. If it's a normal injury I don't think he should be cutting a promo about it, AEW has had enough bad news. So he's either in bad enough shape he feels the need to talk about it or maybe the are doing a Cody and making an angle to explain his "quite some time" absence? Fuck man, I hope Alvarez is dead wrong again
