  1. I have a really hard time believing Vince would make Edge take the fall to not only set up a bigger program between DB and Roman, but also cutting Reigns run with the belt, which I think it's been a "success" (kinda hard to say in terms of drawing in 2021, even more so in a pandemic, but ratings wise I think it's done well?). I'd love to see another Bryan run with the a main title but I'm nto sure it's time to get the belt off Reigns. And honestly, you know WWE sees Edge vs Roman as a bigger program than Bryan vs Roman.
  2. I've been thinking about this and I could see a scenario were they do the triple threat so Bryan takes the pin and they can book another PPV with Edge vs Roman in singles. It's WWE 101 to advertise a match for months, only to change it last minute and then promote for the next big event It's also hard to picture a program for Bryan for WM, unless he wrestles Jey again...
  3. Is the camera man Edge?
  4. Roman's response was pretty dope too. It's gonna be infuriating that they'll never get a legit 2-3 month program to work against each other. I guess we'll have to be content with Fastlane.
  5. I can't wait to read your thoughts on Michaels "performance" in HIAC at WM 28. I'm on the side of finding it hilariously bad but not to the point of completely ruining the match.
  6. That's very interesting. I haven't seen the WM 26 match in long time but every time I watched it I came out of it liking it less than WM 25 because the "Big spot" --> take a long ass time selling what we just did --> Do another big spot --> take a long ass time selling what we just did, formula went too far my liking on the rematch.
  7. I think a 2026 GWE project will be a good test if my burnout is temporal or I'm just kind past this sort of thing. I'm looking forward to make a case for Daisuke Sekimoto and Strong Big Japan, even just to get more people to actually watch the fun stuff they continue to deliver. I'm really happy this is being thought as a project that will use every tool technology gives us to make it easier and encourage people to discuss and hopefully open their minds regarding wrestling. Completely agree on footage being the main (sole?) criteria. Everything else just makes it too complex for people to actually want to participate. Very curious if people take it as seriously as the 2016 vote and if we get some fans going full Parv with their main candidates
  8. Daniel Bryan the GOAT Elimination Chamber performer strikes again. Cesaro was the match's MVP though. Reigns is such an awesome heel. Fucking Edge gonna ruin a perfect Reigns vs Bryan program for Mania
  9. Did Dave really said latinos don't like Bad Bunny? As a south american, I can assure him that's really not the case. People hating on reggeaton and trap under 35 years is very small (and people older than 40 don't really care or know about dude, I'm 33 and don't really care about dude or reggeaton). The percentage of people that LOVE BB is waaaay bigger than people hating on him.
  10. Feels like a lot of you are harping on his bland, more political persona but forgetting he also has some legit fun stuff like his fake feud with Kevin Hart (who I don't find very funny as a standup, tolerable in some movies). I don't know, I've seen a couple of lives from dude and I've been entertained and it's never been about "chasing your dream" and his politically correct persona.
  11. Aw man, he's been disappointing there??
  12. And he's gonna get Rollins
  13. Well, I guess that tweet y'all were clowning in the weekly thread was actually true After they got rid of Bryan and Riddle I was already baffled at the potential winner, but I didn't thought they were going with fucking Edge
  14. What the fuck, why is Ali dressed like Seth Rollins?? I'm glad I haven't kept up with RAW for such a long time.
  15. Yeah, after Bianca got the fireworks treatment I instantly thought they are saving an "eerie" (aka, boring as fuck) ending for the men's Rumble and the Fiend fits right in for that.
  16. I think that was the best final 2 sequence since Taker and Shawn in 07.
  17. I'm only watching because of Bryan and I already accepted the fact they are gonna book him to lose in a ridiculous way so he can have a "redemption" storyline or a heel turn going into Mania. But anyway, here's the card Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens (Last Man Standing Match) WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Goldberg WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair & Asuka vs. Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax Royal Rumble Match Royal Rumble Match
  18. Yes. Hideki Suzuki is a fucking awesome pro wrestler you should check him out.
  19. Rumor going around is that Hideki Suzuki is traveling to the U.S for a permanent gig. Most assume it's to NXT as he's been invited as a trainer before and Regal loves him (who doesn't?). Would love him vs Thatcher again before fazing out to a trainer role. And good luck to those poor rookies getting bent into pretzels by Hideki IF that's indeed his destination.
  20. Strong Heavyweight title match. This was pretty fucking great. Nakanoue is no stranger to title matches in Korakuen to start the year off and he's certainly not a stranger to Okabayashi being faster and much stronger than him. So Nakanoe goes to the body and opens up the little window he needs to have any sort of chance in this. Without Covid there's no doubt in my mind this would've trigger some very special Korakuen magic because both Yasufumi and Yuji put on a fucking show and make you believe the underdog has a legit chance. The nearfalls were dope, the strikes were on point, the struggle for moves was classic Strong BJ and the ending...dope fucking match right here.
  21. Yeah, I thought the angle was very nicely done and I'm confident Pearce can do some interesting stuff with promos and character building in the next 3 weeks. I also like how they are setting up their Elimination Chamber match. Roman has bullied of screwed over enough people that every participant in the will have a legit reason to fight him besides getting a title shot (regardless if the EC match is for the n°1 contender or with Roman putting the belt on the line). Also, it was really cool watching motivated Nakamura again. A couple of botches with both Rey and Bryan but overall it was a damn good gauntlet match (the Corbin match was nice too).
  22. Yeah, kind hard picturing him leaving so soon and when he's by far their biggest regular gaijin (I guess Moxley is their biggest foreigner overall) so him doing what Omega and the Bucks did for a couple of years before actually leaving would be a sound strategy if he wants a better deal. If he goes, good for his pocket I guess. All this being said, I think New Japan should start signing their 1 (or 2) year contracts around the G-1 Climax and not Wrestle Kingdom. If a gaijin wants to leave, then make him do it before the G-1 so the build up towards their biggest show - and it's aftermath - doesn't go to "waste". RE: Wrestling Kingdom. Man, I thought Okada vs Ospray was fine. One of those Okada matches were I could've cared less about the first half and the wait for the awesome finishing stretch was not compelling at all. Naito vs Ibushi was good, not their best but still more than worth a look. Shingo vs Cobb was dope. Give me 20 minute sprints/bomb fest over 35 minutes epics all day. White vs Ibushi I'll watch eventually because it seems the run time was worth it. Still, I have such a hard watching New Japan long matches that I gotta prepare myself for them, specially after Night 1.
  23. Loved the dynamic of Nomura and Abe basically saying "fuck you, we are not the spunky young team anymore, we are the fucking champs" and going toe to toe with the two monsters. Shuji tried to disrespect Young Gawd by calling him "pretty boy" and refusing to even engage on a rope break, which lead to Nomura slapping the shit out of him and forcing Ishikawa to take Astronauts seriously...well, be careful what you wish for because from then on, Shuji literally tries to concuss both Abe and Nomura with vicious headbutts for the next 13 minutes. And you know, Sato already knows these kids so he tries to obliterate them from the get go. The finish is sudden but makes complete sense as it was built up quite nicely. Match didn't disappoint, but don't watch if you are concerned about wrestler's health, this goes into demonic puro head hunting territory.
  24. So fucking sad, RIP :(
