  1. That MITB lacked fuckery, it had some fun moments but it was more of a boring mess than a hilarious fuckery fest like AJ/Taker and Wyatt/Cena.
  2. I read that Vince took a bump off the HQ building to demonstrate a wrestler that it was safe to take that bump for the taping of the MITB match saw it on a message board, Is this being reported by anyone credible?
  3. Yeah, I think Dutch mixed things up when someone told him about WWE trying to sell PPVs to ESPN and other companies. His tweet and the report from last week that "Vince is in fuck it mode" basically started this whole rumor so I don't buy it.
  4. Very close to the great match they had in 18' at the Strong Climb tournament. Young Gawd is fucking outstanding in this, dude knows how to wrestle with a sense of urgency and dishes punishment in a way that his opponent HAS to level up and dish back at him, which leads to awesome sequences and good strike exchanges. Loved the way he kept one upping Daichi every time, either with a vicious slap or a stiff kick aimed at Hashimoto's arm. Daichi selling was great once again, at least until the final few minutes were they both went into "your turn my turn" mode. The only complaint I have about this match is that Daichi doesn't have the offense to lead a finishing sequence. The finish itself was good/definitive and he has stuff that can work when he's the underdog but as the main champ he comes up short in this front, specially because he tends to get dominated for a good portion of the match so he needs some sort of equalizer, and a weak DDT and a bunch of shining wizards are not it. Considering 2020 has been a big for him and he has been way more consistent than in other years, if he's able to find something that makes him feel more like a champ and less like a "young, promising star", he's gonna take the final leap as a performer, imo.
  5. Eh, not sure were Bryan could've gone after that program considering WWE refuses to pair him in a feud with Reigns. Him being heavily featured and elevating others each week even during this pandemic is far from "plummeting", imo.
  6. To add to all of that, I honestly think a good number of fans got tired of his ring work too. Though I never agreed with the sentiment, Seth used to be always be named as one of top workers in the company and that basically evaporated in the last two years It seemed that after his IC title run and one of those long ass gauntlet matches on RAW everything went south for dude. I could be mixing things up but weren't those reactions at their peak in 2018 and not 2019? His match with Brock at Mania was perfectly booked and got a damn good reaction, but that whole build to Mania exposed the fact that Seth was far from a top guy in terms of reactions. Kofi blew him out of the water and Seth's path to WM was a distant third behind Ronda/Becky and Kofi/Bryan.
  7. One minute in and I'm already in love with this match as Isami fights like hell to get out of a simple headlock this was fucking great. Minimalistic wrestling (as you can get it in 2020) at it's finest once again. Isami was fucking incredible here, the focused offense he had on Daisuke's arm during the whole match was beautiful to watch, the counters he made to avoid Sekimoto's strength were perfectly timed and done in the exact moment of the match that were needed. Daisuke's role in this is play the brute that can overcome Kodaka's intelligence just by being stronger. And when you combine a dude that can play the brute with such ease and a wrestler that can work so smart as Kodaka, you get a dope fucking match like this one
  8. Daichi is a very inconsistent wrestler. For some reason, getting his legs worked on brings the best out of him, dude is one of the few current wrestlers that actually sells the pain it generates to use a leg that has had some damage (if Seth Rollins saw this match he wouldn't understand what is going on). In this match T-Hawk finds an opportunity very early on and does a really good control section that sets up Daichi's slow comeback perfectly. Final minutes are very good too. I think my only complaint about the match would be T-Hawk abandoning the leg work for no reason but that's a very minor issue I had with this. Very good main event to end a dope fucking show.
  9. Bryan vs Cesaro was dope, again.
  10. Once Bryan goes on hiatus to be a father again, I'll be very surprised if I watch anything WWE related (maybe a couple of segments on Youtube if they sound interesting). I barely watch anyway but I keep up with news and most of the results, though RAW has been a blur for years now. I think that will stay no matter what. For some reason, even if I can't bring myself to actually watch the product, I can't bring myself to totally let go and not even bother reading what is going on in the company. To be fair though, unless it's Big Japan, I'm mostly a casual viewer of any wrestling nowadays. I gave AEW 2 shows and it was just not for me.
  11. The Lana thing is at least consistent with the belief Vince/Dunn/Whoever has been hell bent on breaking her up with Rusev IRL.
  12. Had to look that one up because I read in the All Japan twitter feed the request to Hase was to allow activities to resume and to get compensation for the lost pay in the last month (as well as testing for every wrestler). Then Tana had that quote of puro being the last one to open to show Japanese entertainment was truly back. I don't disagree the landscape is different but I was just talking about the 1 case that as a fan I'm pretty excited about (whenever happens).
  13. They are already organizing to start running shows again. Does that mean they'll be spending money in August? No. But I'm pretty sure Rusev will get some really good gigs in 2021 at very least.
  14. Pretty sure the option will be there for Rusev.
  15. Rusev's puro run is gonna be fucking glorious. Get all that money RuRu!
  16. All Japan and BIg Japan first, please.
  17. Mike Chioda being out is crazy.
  18. Most vicious 'deavors season ever. With all these agents getting released, NXT fans better get used to soap opera "storytelling" in every match on the card now.
  19. Now that WWE got the "essential" tag, Bob Arum and UFC asking to use the Performance Center to run shows is "Vince is a genius" gonna start right back up if he gets money from this.
  20. #Reality is just too damn much man, LMAO
  21. Legit shocked he's actually going to Florida (he's been with Brie and their daughter post Mania so he's not quarantined). It seems they really are going all in with their business as usual approach. For a guy who has admitted to have a very shitty immune system - which I guess is why Brie said on a podcast he was "immunocompromised" - and who has said no to Vince a bunch of times in the past, this is a big surprise. I hope he stays healthy.
  22. Yeah, Revival's peak run in NXT made them the only tag team I would've put above Strong BJ in the mid 2010's. They were fucking incredible. I don't think they have lost that touch unless 90% of their matches were on the agents working with them...and I don't buy that "theory" until proven otherwise during the run they'll have in the next couple of years. Also, LMAO at watching that Gargano and Ciampa match. No thanks.
  23. When was the AJ match?
  24. I mean, I would've saved Drew's win for the first RAW with a live audience and booked a no contest after some huge spot/bump left both him and Brock out of comission. But I agree that Drew is far from finished and that when it goes south for him it will be because that's what Vince can't help doing with his face champions, not Mania.
