Really fun finishing stretch, I am glad Ruby won. It puts over Soho immediately, and Thunder Rosa didn't look bad at all. Every match on this PPV has delivered so far, I am having a great time

Lol I dunno how Penta was magically unaffected by the crazy crossbody off the top of the cage, but Rey Fenix is so awesome, I don't give a shit. Credit to the Bucks, they made Fenix and Penta look like mega stars. This was good shit, easily my favourite Bucks Lucha match ever.

Even if they had not said it, outright multiple times, it is abundantly clear from some of the booked spots that the Bucks were Shawn Michaels fans growing up

Nick's facial hair game REALLY helps in that regard

There have been some crazy spots in the match but story and psychology wise, I think the Bucks and the Lucha Bros bring out the worst in each other. It is perfectly placed in that regard on the card though.

I thought it was the best women's match they have put on PPV (Deeb-Riho was on the Buy In). I thought the sloppiness added a bit to it because of Statlander's brute strength equalizer gimmick. Having a hot crowd definitely helps. I definitely thought the match punched above its weight

I am 100% sure Kris Statlander is stronger than Jade Cargill. I am making my mom watch this with me as she does some light cardio, and she is blown away by Kris Statlander

I loved the match, I thought it hit hard and it felt like a dogfight. Of course Mox-Suzuki 2 will be much better

Why is Kojima not in the G1

I thought the match was excellent and the finish was clever and well done, but Rick Knox already has the "ref who keeps fucking up" gimmick. I still think it was effective, but like a lot of tropes AEW overuses, it would have been a lot more effective had they not gone to this well so often.

I genuinely think he has an argument to be the best big man seller of all time

Bold choice to start with the main event

There's definitely a lot of highspots and the Elite are very guilty of being too cute for their own good, but this was specifically a comedy match clearly, featuring a comedy wrestler and Matt Hardy who is good for nothing but comedy spots. Most AEW matches definitely don't go this far. Like I said, I thought this was worked like a fun houseshow spotfest more than a televised match.

They are working this pre-show tag like a house show match, which isn't a bad choice tbh

One good thing about being back in India is that with their new deal, PPVs are available for free in HD on basic cable. They're not on a major channel so they're not getting paid the kind of big bucks WWE gets, but it's still much better than nothing

Definitely feels like something where I will wait for match recs and check them out instead of actually watching the events, which is basically where I have been with New Japan sincw the pandemic starte. A shit load of dead weight, especially in Block B. Running in small halls will help though; I cannot stomach the thought of watching matches three straight nights in a giant dome with 2000 people who clap once in a while.

Thought this was a great episode of Rampage, everything flowed, and it did a great job selling the PPV. I am beyond excited for Miro v. Kingston

If this is the shit he is doing at 10:45 PM on Friday, imagine what he is going to do Sunday against CM Punk at the PPV
