  1. I think WWE would make a strong move to keep Owens. Unlike a lot of Hunter's indie signings and NXT callups, Vince has always seemed to like Owens. He has always been pushed and featured prominently. Vince took shoot headbutts at a million years of age to get Owens over. He also got numerous visual victories over Roman in their feud this year, which indicates that they want to protect him. With Sami, I don't think WWE tries that hard. He is certainly stale and overexposed, but he has the advantage where he can just put on his mask again and instantly change his look. El Generico has never worked for WWE after all.
  2. I also don't know how to rate Allin-Punk from a conventional wrestling match perspective. The first few minutes, the crowd seemed so excited for everything Punk did, and also so scared that something might go wrong, it's very difficult to rate for me.
  3. Are you calling Bryan Tom Bombadil
  4. Omega-Danielson will be amazing and god I hope Omega discards the goofy comedy for the greatest of all time. I would run those two big matches the next two months and then culminate with Hangman beating Omega at the PPV. How bad was Fozzy's guitarist tho
  5. So do they go with Omega-Punk? Or do they go with Omega-Danielson first? If so, what does Punk do then? There are so many possibilities in this promotion right now, so many players, it's tremendously exciting.
  6. Apparently Bryan's (it will be so weird to refer to him as Danielson again, the last time I did so, I was literally a teenager) post-show speech is amazing
  7. Hoping Hangman beats Omega soon and then beats Cole as his first title defence. Although to be fair, Cole's best use would be as Britt's minion, Victoria-Stevie Richards style
  8. If it means he remains a midcard workrate guy having great (and for the love of God, SHORT) matches with the young faces, I am cool with it
  9. By some distance the best PPV AEW has ever done. In fact, one can argue it's the first truly all time great AEW PPV. They have done amazing matches on PPVs before, but this has never been a great PPV promotion.
  10. Wait but he did debut last
  11. Yeah I thought that was perfect. I wish they had got Final Countdown, but it looks like they spent all the music licensing budget on Wild Thing and Pixies
  12. Lmao I guess Europe were asking for too much money
  13. The crowd was tired but they did manage to get them back in the end. I thought the match was very solidly worked. One of Omega's least annoying matches for sure, right until the fucking Good Brothers came out
  14. That table spot looked brutal
  15. Omega recovered from that railing botch quite well, credit to him
  16. Yeah, really surprised they are not building Mox-Suzuki more
  17. Brother BruT and Tall Paul for the bathroom break, tyvm
  18. This was a very smartly laid match, and I loved the situp and laugh. It reminded me a lot of his shit-eating grin after beating Cena at MitB 2011. The finish also protected Darby cuz he let his youthful exuberance get away with him, and in trying to do something wild and steal the show, he got outsmarted by the wily veteran.
  19. Darby really hates his back huh
  20. The silence that this match has on occasions is so surreal. It's not fans not being into the match of course. It's the thick mixture of anticipation and tension that's coating every second of this match. This truly feels like a big-time match.
  21. Darby is really nifty at matwork. I believe he is a former amateur wrestler too
  22. Why is he wearing pants tho
  23. IT'S CLOBBERING TIME
  24. LMAO Jericho was too old and broken down to do the old-school liontamer hahaha. Better than their previous matches though
  25. Wait didn't JR say earlier that this match has no countouts?
