  1. Her first feud should not have been Nyla. That was just bad booking.
  2. Holy shit. I am so glad he is alive and healthy now. There are things so much bigger than wrestling and pushes and theme songs
  3. So both the tag titles match and MJF-Jericho are next week and not at the PPV? That's interesting. The All Out card seems totally in the air right now
  4. The Good Brothers are terrible. Absolutely awful. The fact that the Impact deal has meant Impact getting Omega and AEW getting Good Brothers every week makes Tony Khan a dork. Oh hey look at QT Marshall being another dork. The last 20 mins have been so meh
  5. Britt with the road warrior pop, the kind that increases as the wrestler makes their way to the ring. I am sure Sek is happy that his hometown has been so loud tonight, as opposed to what we have heard for literally decades about Pittsburgh being a bad wrestling town
  6. That match was also incredible. Darby really is an amazing wrestler
  7. Danny Garcia also looks amazing, in a totally different way than Dante Martin. The kids are alright
  8. I feel bad for Christian. His biggest program in 10 years, maybe ever, and everyone chants CM Punk and YES YES YES!! And HAHA nice Daniel Bryan reference by Omega
  9. This commercial break is out of nowhere lol. Also, these title matches are really really weak for PPV. They better be bringing in Punk and Danielson in hot programs. With the exception of Malakai Black, AEW has stunk out the joint with debuts
  10. That was an incredible 6-man
  11. You will see the Doctor defend her title! Nice! Dante Martin is RIDICULOUSLY good. The control he has over his body is filthy
  12. Feels like a quiet show tonight. I wonder when they actually announce the signings

Every single wrestler should have their social media taken away forever. But on the plus side, he has found something in common with Mrs. Jericho so maybe they can bond over that
  14. It also has to be said that the personality of the deathmatch wrestler is very important here. Abby could use a fork because he genuinely felt like a crazy psycho who would just forget the rules of wrestling and would want to murder you on the spot. Sheik's matches would go like 4 mins and never pretended to be actual matches so it was fine for his matches to have those weapons used. But (and this is not a shot at Allie and Justice, I haven't seen them work, it's a general point) when unskilled, bland, uninteresting randos use these weapons and do these spots (with all the stalling) for 15 minutes, it makes me feel like I am watching a couple of drunk/drugged idiots fight outside a bar or a park at 1 AM, or an awful, domestic fight in a household. It's just not something that I think is a viable wrestling attraction.
  15. Yeah as I said, intimate sharp objects are off-putting and I would be happy if I never saw them again in wrestling. I don't need to see two wrestlers stab each other with a knife or a fork. Something like the sledgehammer is corny and obviously business-exposing but it is not off-putting to me like small sharp objects are. Something about them just doesn't fit in
  16. From all videos I have seen, fans like Alexa, but hate the supernatural shit and start audibly groaning and lose interest when that shit is happening. It's when WWE most blatantly adds in the 'correct' crowd noise. Otherwise, when she is being normal and wrestling or talking, fans clearly like her. Don't see anything surprising about this reaction, but I also don't see anything surprising about WWE continuing that supernatural crap. It clearly works for some LORE fans at least, so why not cater to them.
  17. I would be really happy if we never saw any sharp object used as a foreign object in wrestling again, including knives, forks, even thumbtacks. Blunt objects are fine, but something about sharp objects is off-putting to me
  18. I think it's possible they would have had a third match after Cody lost the title to Darby. If they were building to Brodie-Hangman, Brodie was probably going over
  19. It is not remotely surprising that Vince when challenged has gone back to size. He has always done that, as do all promoters that have had tremendous success with one idea. However, having all the size on the roster won't help if you don't book wrestlers like stars who are gracing us all with their appearance. The trend of wrestlers being just thrilled to be in WWE because it is their childhood dream. Compare how Vince used to treat his wrestlers like God amongst men in the 80s, like the coolest, smartest athletes in the world in the 90s, and compare it to how all full-time wrestlers are treated in 2021 WWE. The flipside to having a billion dollar brand that can sell 50,000 ticket to an event just on its own name is that Vince feels no need to book any wrestler as special or with a huge aura. And why would he? He can achieve the same result just putting over the brand he has spent his entire life building.
  20. I am watching a Saturday Night episode from 1993 where the main event is supposed to be Flair and Sid v. Vader & Austin, only Sid is immediately attacked when he is coming out and has to be replaced by Arn. Ignoring the ironic analogies between art and real life (with Scissorsgate), these four are having a barn-burner of a match and Arn is going crazy on Austin in the 2nd half of the match and the crowd goes wild and starts chanting..."WE WANT SID!!" I know Sid has some fans here, but is there any other wrestler as limited and often downright awful as Sid who would constantly, inexplicably get cheered unexpectedly, or be more over than more established stars? Arn here, Hogan at Royal Rumble 1992, Shawn at Survivor Series 1997, he just somehow would end up in situations where he would be the most over person in the ring
  21. Lmao HHH might as well just go to AEW and be done with it
  22. You don't think Sasha is untouchable?
  23. They have to make space for Gable Steveson I guess (that guy is going to be a megastar unless they totally fuck him up)

I had heard that he was a piece of shit but never the details. The accusations are bad, and the source for the "cleared with DMs" is a podcast where the hosts are skeptical of this claim that he was cleared when he showed DMs. I am not sure how those allegations can be disproven with just DMs honestly. Priscilla denying someone's abuse using her own is shitty, but so is leaking her DMs from a long time back. Plus, the alleged victim herself apparently has done the same denial of abuse to someone else, so it's turning out to be one of those "wrestling sucks and so does everyone in it" things which just turns you off the business
  25. He is seriously amazing. Coming from behind and scoring 4 (5 with unsuccessful challenge) in 10 seconds to win gold at 21 years of age in the biggest match of his life, beating two of the most dominant wrestlers of the last decade, is ridiculously next level impressive. I cannot wait to see what he does in pro wrestling. The old adage about heavyweight power with lightweight speed is a cliche but it totally applies to Steveson. He weighs 275 pounds and moves and wrestles like he is 175. I cannot wait to see what he does in pro wrestling. He is legitimately a once in several lifetimes talent.
