I liked Bruno/Ivan enough, certainly crisp and was cool to hear the crowd making the ten count and go CRAZY when it hit 10. I liked seeing Dusty and his shtick (and elbows) but pretty crappy 6-man with what seemed like a botched ending and was real curious why no one made the save from the face side. No payoff with Dusty and Albano either (which Vince even notes). I didn't mind the Valiants in their other match here with Ted getting to debut on the set, pretty fun brawl to close out the show with the credits rolling. I like the in-between squash matches to highlight other guys in the promotion at the time (obviously not much happening in April and May 79 ). The main event for the disc is certainly worth the wait - solid 30 minute match, I don't think I'd put it above either Valentine match but a solid #3 through the first half of 79. Interested to listen to what everyone rated this one. The chair stuff was awesome - crowd just went bezerk when that got introduced.

This is the worst thing about his character and it was very prevalent after he lost to the Rock (after a YEARS BUILD and him talking about how he HAD TO WIN) at WM28 and he literally just shook it off the next night in the ring and that was that.

I don't know why everyone (not here per se) wants to rush the big payoff of the faces helping out - it's been two weeks(!). And while something unorthodox like the Wyatts would be great, there's no way their storytelling is that creative. It'll be The Big Show, Ziggler and Miz on his team for the Battleground PPV. I love them cooling off the title matches between Bryan and Orton with the in-between Battleground show (hopefully) but Hell in a Cell looms close after (three weeks - I thought we got rid of that damn 13th show)...

I laughed out loud for the Wayne's World transition to Dylan talking about Hogan, then back to Pete and Pete. Parv - you Dr. Frankenstein'd this podcast but i'm halfway through and it's been great.

An excellent look back at the beginning of Cena's main event reign. Curious - what did you think of the #1 Contender's Match between Angle and Cena at No Way Out prior to WM 21? Curious what progression can be charted from that match to Unforgiven. We have a baseline w/ Angle.

Sure, I definitely will. I'll be grabbing Mid South and AWA first but it may be a bit here as I work through the 79-83 WWF and the Lucha set (in addition to 60 discs from James spanning 88,89 and 90 NWA/WCW).

My favorite contribution this week is the title "A Flair for the Pod" That's our ongoing shtick, using wrestling show taglines in a creative way. I had some volume level issues which will be worked out. This was a ton of fun.

I may be misremembering but didn't HHH spew some of this in the lead-up to their match at WrestleMania 22?

Nah, that was WWF Attitude out a couple of years later. The game was too far into development to remove him, so he was included with a tribute o him at the start of the game. Ah, I remember the tribute but thought they had pulled him. Sadly he never made any of the N64 games.

Hmm, well that's odd. I deleted my 5 minute one, thinking maybe they were named the same so it wouldn't show me the new one but the "add new episodes" (refreshed) is still just showing the 5 minute on on my iPhone. I unsubscribed/re-subscribed and it still just gives me the option for the 5:27 one to re-download. CURSES.

So the magical lost episode 47 popped up on my phone and I downloaded it last night for a good listen on my commute in today. Were you guys able to re-record then?
