Vets lost the final last year, so I think they'll win this year. -

Is it just me or has every match so far tonight felt way too damn long? I know that's a weird criticism, but sometimes less really is more. -

Who attacked Austin Theory and why wasn't it in the dreaded NXT parking lot? -
According to Slam Wrestling, Sammy Guevara nixed a storyline and appearance with Impact, putting the AEW-Impact relationship in jeopardy. Has anyone else reported this?

I subscribed to NJPW World for a month when I had the Fire TV Cube. My subscription ended when I returned that awful buggy piece of crap device. Years later, it still baffles me that the availability of the app never become more widespread (Roku, PS3/4/5, etc.). It displays a glaring lack of understanding on New Japan's part of the American market, and why they will probably never, ever succeed as a touring company in the States (Covid aside). Still, this deal is the next best thing and actually gives me some hope that maybe NJPW is finally beginning to figure some things out outside its home territory.

Not always. Lord Alfred Hayes quit back in 1995 after they tried to cut his pay. -
So, avoiding GWE almost entirely ended up being a great decision on my part?

What the hell are we here at PWO doing wrong as posters and a community if Loss prefers a cesspool like Twitter to his own site? Genuinely curious...

They don't make enough use of NXT for situations like this. Imagine Miz going there with his "movie star" and "above you all" character. Ziggler should be a JTTS at this point on any brand. Any magic he once had was killed by WWE. Sucks for him, but it is what it is. I thought it was very telling when even a Born Again Christian like HBK buried Ziggler as an imitator on one of the Network podcasts with Stone Cold. -
@goodhelmet I just tagged goodhelmet. Hopefully that means he'll see this thread. What happened to @Loss anyway?

I always heard he no-showed an event (or was late to one) and Bill Watts fired him because he had a zero tolerance policy at the time and was looking for cuts like that as any excuse to save money.

The Thread Killer Talks Too Much: The Recaps
C.S. replied to The Thread Killer's topic in Pro Wrestling
Thank you, kind sir. That is all kinds of wrong but absolutely fucking hysterical. Not sure why I confused Balls and Axl though. (To be fair, I've never actually seen the shoot. My only knowledge is that little gem of a exchange posted here.) I have no idea if you have easy access to this shoot, @The Thread Killer, but if you do, it would be my vote for the next recap or at least a future recap. P.S. I was going to say I don't remember the Rottens ever being in WCW, but maybe they were for a cup of coffee? I first saw them in the GWF (on ESPN) and later in ECW. -

Much love to you, TTK, for the hard work that must've gone into transcribing that. I'm definitely looking forward to Part 2. I have a feeling Bischoff isn't going to go easy on poor Mike Graham, who came across as a needy little brother type with a big bark and not much bite, but it's still sad to think about. As for requests, hmm, I don't know... Unless I'm missing something obvious, I can't even see what content AFS offers. Someone mentioned a hilarious shoot between Raven and I think Balls talking about I believe Grizzly Smith with an exchange that was something like: Balls?: Grizzly really fucked me. Raven: So you are a little girl. But search brings up nothing. If Loss has search records, I'm sure he's going to wonder why I was searching for "Raven balls." -
WWE TV 02/01 - 02/07 PALMEIRAS IS THE LIBERTADORES DA AMERICA CHAMPION

I agree with @DMJ and @sek69 about Cesaro, but even chasing the big WWE money isn't guaranteed - it's not like this is a company that actually keeps its word or hesitates to release talent during the middle of a worldwide pandemic. With that said, even if Cesaro does get released a year or two down the road, AEW, NJPW, etc. will presumably still be wide open to him then. -
Goldberg was a green rookie taking bad advice from bad people. I don't hold that against him. Especially in light of the Eaton story and all the jobs he's done in WWE. Goldberg vs. Scott Steiner could have been a huge money program. If the streak had never been ended so stupidly and Steiner had been built up as a top level heel, it could have been a great Starrcade main event. I personally have no problem with Goldberg telling Vince Russo to fuck off and shove his illogical hotshot bullshit up his ass. Goldberg still fits here.

Doubtful. Being gay or trans doesn't magically mean someone isn't a radical Republican anymore. Just look at Caitlin Jenner. With that said, I wish Gabbi all the best. Of course reaction on wrestling sites has been the typical ignorant and illiterate drivel you tend to see outside this board.

The wrong Forgotten Son, Steve Cutler, was future endeavored. Wesley Blake was the talent of that group, but it boggles my mind how someone as completely useless as Jaxon Ryker still has a job. -
Not sure what there is to be disappointed about here - except maybe for tech-phobic still-uses-Juno Dave. This gives NJPW instant access in three different parts of the world, with fans now easily able to access this content for free on their Roku devices, phone/tablet apps, and the web. With that said, I couldn't find MLW at all on The Roku Channel shortly after that deal was announced, despite trying 2-3 different ways. The Roku Channel's interface is dire. It's possible MLW is easy to find now, but I never looked for it again.

Under-the-radar wrestling book recommendations
C.S. replied to Cross Face Chicken Wing's topic in Pro Wrestling
I do have Hoopla, so nice tip! How do you read the books though? I assume through the Hoopla app on a tablet, with no way to get them on a Kindle like you can do with Overdrive/Libby? -
The Rock, Daniel Bryan, Goldberg (yes, really) Rock has been mentioned several times already, so I won't rehash that. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Bryan yet. Absolutely unselfish top guy. My Goldberg pick probably has people scratching their heads, so I'll explain... Despite the streak, he never cared about losing. He lost to Chad Fortune, of all people, before debuting on Nitro. He has lost several times in WWE. Yes, there was hubbub that he "that doesn't work for me, brother"-ed a loss to The Fiend. But you know what? I'm okay with that.

I watched the Royal Rumble roundtable with Charlotte, Sasha, Mickie James, and Nattie. Ehhh, basically 18 minutes of fluff and back-patting (not that they don't deserve to feel proud - they absolutely do - but there wasn't exactly much substance to it).

Maybe Kane is the rare example of someone who learns from his mistakes and grows. He wore a mask (I mean beyond the one he usually wears), social distanced, took several Covid tests, and he's donating his Rumble paycheck to a good cause. https://www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2021/02/kane-to-donate-his-wwe-royal-rumble-pay/

Edge vs. Finn Balor at WrestleMania?
