For any first-time or lapsed Impact viewers tuning in because of AEW, here's what I've found: - If you have the channel AXS, you're good to go - Impact is there. For everyone else: - It's on Twitch, but the site and app are total trash, and Impact's Twitch channel only does live feeds - nothing is archived (unless I'm missing something). There's no Apple AirPlay functionality either, so I can't AirPlay it to my Roku. Instead, the app has its own casting system that wants access to my local network. How about no? - On Impact Plus, the Dec. 1st (yesterday's) show is already there. I assume new shows are added the day after they air, but that's good enough for me. That show is accessible even without a login on both the site and Roku app. So, I'd say Impact Plus is the way to go for this if you don't have AXS.

I think I have a free account there, but when do they add the newest shows? Edit: The Dec. 1st show is already there, so that answers my question! I assume it's added the following day, but that's good enough for me. Edit 2: Accessible even without a login on both site and Roku app. GREAT news!!!

Just tried Twitch to see if I could access Impact that way. Site and app are total trash, and Impact only does live feeds - nothing is archived (unless I'm missing something). WTF are they thinking?! Edit: No Apple AirPlay functionality either, so I can't AirPlay it to my Roku. Instead, the app has its own casting system that wants access to my local network. How about no? Epic fail! Next week, everyone will want to watch Impact and no one will be able to. Just kill this company, because it's already dead.

I thought it was handled awesomely. Callis saying "find out this Tuesday" and then the interview saying, "You mean Wednesday?" and Callis correcting him with "No, this Tuesday on Impact." Agreed. I'm intrigued. I just hope AXS (who? what?) isn't the only way to watch the show, because that's a network no one has heard of and even less people have, so generating interest doesn't help if no one can actually access your product. I thought Pluto only had old TNA/Impact shows? Or did something change and they now have new episodes of Impact live or the following day? Been a while since I've looked at the app.

The main event was not a great match (IMO), but man, what a great story. (That describes the whole show, really. Matches were just okay, but some damn awesome developments.) I am definitely intrigued. Now, how the hell do I watch Impact? I don't have AXS.

Don't get me wrong: I don't hate Kazarian. I just don't think he's a credible opponent for Jericho. The result was obvious even before the match began. While that may be true for most of Jericho's AEW opponents, those matches weren't billed as "first time ever" like they're something special, which this wasn't IMO. Also, I wasn't comparing Kazarian to Gillberg. Rather, I was just listing another "first time ever" match off the top of my head to highlight why that phrase doesn't necessarily mean anything. BTW, Kazarian was in WWE. He was forced to cut his hair. He told them to shove it. Ironic, because he now has short hair. But I agree with him pushing back on what was one of the stupider "only Vince" policies in WWE. Everyone back then had short hair, or a version of it (except Triple H, of course), and most looked terrible. Christian is probably the only person that edict actually helped.

Am I wrong to not care about this match and view it as Jericho vs. a tomato can? 22 years and Frankie Kazarian is still an opening card guy. This match happening for the "first time ever" means nothing to me. Roman Reigns vs. Gillberg would be "first time ever" too, but that doesn't mean I'd care. Doesn't help that the match completely stunk. I don't know if it was a clash of styles or just Jericho getting older and slower, but this was not good.

Watching Wednesday Night Wrestling for the first time in a while... I joined in progress, so I missed most of the battle royal, but I'm definitely intrigued by Mox vs. Omega.

If Pat Patterson had only created the Royal Rumble, he'd be a legend. If Pat Patterson was only the first Intercontinental Champion, he'd be a legend (yeah, yeah, I realize the tournament never really happened). If Pat Patterson was only responsible for mapping out some of the best matches in WWE history, he'd be a legend. If Pat Patterson was only the first openly gay wrestler, he'd be a legend. But he was all of those things and more. Anyway, I've never believed the Pat Patterson allegations - not for a single split second. There is an ugly history of homosexuality ignorantly being equated to interest in underage boys. I wish I could say that was a relic of the past, but there are still people who think that way. Yes, in 2020. Plus, Superstar Billy Graham admitted to lying about the whole thing, so there's that...

What is the link to this thread? You can actually link a Reddit post and it will come up as a thumbnail that doesn't force the screen to scroll to the right like the pic does in your original post. Edit: Found it!

This is beyond sad and tragic. My heart goes out to him. I'm not sure how well-known Jimmy Rave is (I shared this with a friend, who had never heard of him, and I haven't really either), but this is definitely one of those times where you wish wrestling hadn't been a monopoly for so long so more guys like this could've "made it" with a comfortable nest egg to fall back on if the worst ever happened - and this is pretty damn bad.
-
Even Austin thought it looked like shit and said Cena needed to put some "stink" in it - meaning make it look more aggressive.
-
I'm pretty sure Cena being so light with those moves was a company mandate, I guess because the appearance of "choking" someone would ruin his family friendly image...or something. I agree it looked like hot dogshit. There's fake and then there's whatever Cena was doing with that move. You're reaching, Bubba. Hogan and Rock came across as UFC fighters in comparison to Cena's awful STF (although, The People's Elbow was nearly as bad).

Sasha is not a strong mic worker (whether that's because of scripted promos or not, the jury is still out) and she's never been a good babyface, even though the fans absolutely want to cheer her.

I took your post literally too, so you were not nearly as clear as you may have thought you were.

Are either of these easily accessible on U.S. streaming service or available on a U.S. or region-free DVD/Blu-ray with English subtitles?
-
He doesn't. It's run by two Persian Jewish brothers, the Magen Brothers.

Bob Ryder (of 1Wrestling, WCW, ECW, and TNA) also passed away. https://www.cagesideseats.com/impact-wrestling/2020/11/25/21719523/tna-founder-bob-ryder-dead If there's a separate thread posted here, I think it should be started by a fan of his. Edit: More info from Meltzer

Legitimately thought the nobody Q ref's first name was Drew, lol, and was wondering what happened between Bix and Drake Maverick... There goes what I thought were my amazing DrewAnon and QWuertz nicknames. I was wondering why no one else on PWO was praising my wit. I hadn't seen that Bix article though. Very enlightening stuff, and downright scary that someone in a position of power in a major company (talent relations for NXT) believes all that crap and will likely use it to influence who is hired.
-
What happened with Bix and Drake?
-
So, Adam Pearce is claiming "Drew McInfart" was an unintentional slip-up. Uh huh...
-
Well, I didn't think you were fanboying, but that is how the post sounded in general. If even one person gave a single shit about Drew Wuertz, this would be bad news for WWE. Fortunately for them, he's a total nobody. I realize he had a wrestling career, but not one single person had any feelings about him transitioning to a ref role when he got to NXT, so it's not like he was missed in a more prominent position. "He used to seem like such a cool guy on that indie rasslin' documentary" is about the best I've heard said about him.
-
AEW rasslin' darling can't possibly be a QAnon asshat - news at 11.

What a colossal waste if they held off or cancelled the 2020 HOF because of Covid and no fans. Sleazy, slimy, low class, Cheeto-fingered rasslin' fans are an absolute liability to the HOF. I don't mean just the Bret incident either. There have been so many other instances where the fans have hijacked what was supposed to be an "upscale" black tie affair and made it all about themselves. One that comes immediately to mind was when all the ham 'n eggers humiliated themselves by booing Maria Menounos, who was legitimately Bob Backlund's friend and therefore a perfectly appropriate choice to induct him - especially since, you know, he fucking chose her! WWE should've just rented a hotel, made it a private, low-key, classy affair - which is how it used to be done - and filmed it for the Network.
