Good question. That era is definitely under-represented in books. Booker T, Regal, and Dustin all have books, but I can't remember how much focus there is on pre-Nitro WCW. Dustin, in particular, seems to rush through his career. As for a book focusing solely on that specific era, there isn't one that I know of. Of course, there's the Nitro book, but that is the opposite of what you're asking for.

Black is a bore as a character, and while a decent in-ring worker, he is overshadowed by better workers. Apollo is great in the ring but has never been able to put the pieces together otherwise. He should've been sent back down to NXT for more seasoning years ago.

Agreed. The doomsday posts in this thread are ludicrous. Drew will be fine. If he's ruined, it will be because of the usual bad booking, not anything that happened on this show.

Otis vs. Ziggler was FUN. I'll take this over inconsequential throwaways like Lashley vs. Black any day, or even "good rasslin' matches" like Charlotte vs. Rhea where the outcome was never, ever in doubt, not even for a split second.

That's my main problem with it, other than not personally caring about either of these guys. It's such an inconsequential throwaway match. It doesn't matter, there's no point to it, and the outcome won't affect either man or the WWE as a whole.

Unpopular opinion: Black vs. Lashley is tonight's Corbin vs. Elias. I will never care about this match or either of the wrestlers in it, no matter how many "hoss stud brawls" Lashley had in TNA or whatever the hell Tommy End did on the indies. I. DO. NOT. CARE.

People? It's only me in this thread saying that, lol. But the result was a foregone conclusion IMO, which also hurt the match. There was zero doubt in my mind that Rhea was losing and Charlotte was winning. Charlotte winning at Mania is the default setting.

As long as you're not interested in Cattie and Liv, we're still on the opening match, so you have time to catch up. IMO, and this will be sacrilege 'round these parts, just join the match live in progress. The lack of a crowd has really hurt my ability to get into it. That hasn't been the case across the board, but it is for this match, for whatever reason.
