Silas Young apologized to "anyone I may have offended" for "perhaps" downplaying Coronavirus. Maybe he's sincere, maybe he isn't, but people really need to be taught how to write apologies, because most of them suck at it. Then again, he doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're," so let's not get carried away expecting Shakespeare from anything he writes. "Perhaps" this was the best he could do.

AEW is probably not testing, but Shad Khan is an NFL team owner, no? That would presumably give them a leg-up if they ever want to get serious about this. But it's pro rasslin', so I suspect neither major company is doing all they can and should be doing. Actually, it's more than a suspicion - their TV shows confirm it.

He's not entirely wrong, but coming from a WWE employee (okay, "FOX employee"), he's absolutely the wrong guy to deliver the message. Of course, he conveniently ignores that WWE's empty arena Raw and Smackdown shows have had plenty of social distancing gaffes of their own.
-
Too bad they're even worse than the Raw commentators at practicing responsible social distancing. Tony looked like he was ready to shed his skin when Orange Cassidy put his arm around him.

Dark and empty building. Cody promo to start things off.
-
As an unprecedented one of a kind event, sure, I am definitely interested in seeing Mania this way. More than once? No. Seven hours in an empty building? No. So hopefully the rumors are true about it being a 2-3 hour show now. (I'll believe it when I see it.) Also, I kinda hope they figure out a way to dress up the Performance Center. The flashing laser lights they've been using on Raw and Smackdown remind me of a '90s school picture - so, so cheap, tacky, and indie.

But those limits are meant for audiences in close proximity to each other. That wouldn't be the case with wrestlers, crew, etc. Easy enough to spread them out. With that said, I personally think WWE still needs to tighten up a whole lot more than they are - for example: Kevin Owens taking the mic from Charly Caruso (or whoever it was) last night, people sharing mics, etc.

How can the state make him cancel a show in an empty building that he owns?

I'm in the worst part of the state for this (at least so far) - tons of new cases by the day - so I'm already self-isolating for the sake of my elderly parents and siblings with health issues. Let's all hang in there, stay safe, and concentrate on what really matters - like arguing about Mauro Ranallo. -
Is this the guy that posts in-character all the time? Either that or he's a blithering imbecile, because none of the tweets I've seen from him have come across as even remotely intelligent. Not sure how this would help his character though (which I dig). There's a difference between being a "real man" and posting harmful misinformation like "it's just the flu." Fuck off. He's lucky ROH doesn't matter. If this happened in NXT, he'd be gone in a flash.

Stay safe, Bubba! -
Any time the word performance or performer is used in wrestling, it completely takes me out of the moment. Vince is so fucking obsessed with being a "legitimate mainstream entertainment program" that he has thrown all logic out the window. Didn't they do this for that NXT halftime match during the SuperBowl a year or two ago?
-
I don't disagree, but Cena still came across as arrogant and above it all, which I doubt was the intention.
-
Did Cena just turn heel with this holier-than-thou spiel?
-
I became a Riddick Moss fan today...

THIS BRAWL IS NUTS! And Johnny Wrestling is absolutely right - Tomasso Ciampa is a complete piece of shit as a human being (in-character). BTW, I fully expect to get online tomorrow and hear that WM was cancelled, postponed, or is now an empty arena show.
-
Britt Baker is getting better on the mic. Not great, not a natural, but better.
-
Are they turning Marko Stunt heel? If so, why? Would a dumb idea that would be.
-
Yeah, I was thinking that too. I'm surprised he hasn't requested a move to NXT. Maybe he's afraid he'll be shoehorned back into the CW division? Which, to be honest, is probably exactly what would happen. Plus, who knows if Hunter is still high on him. After Cedric's bursts of immaturity, I wouldn't be.
-
I would honestly bury the fuck out of Cedric Alexander after this if I were Vince and/or booking Raw. Maturity really should be a major factor in who they go with, and Cedric is proving that it shouldn't be him. I get being frustrated, but grow up!
-
I hate to use the tired Kevin Nash "stands out in an airport" line, but H does. Adam Cole, Riddick, and Roode do not, never have, and never will. Had no idea Big Swole was his wife. TBH, I don't see him faring any better in AEW. As good as Cedric is in the ring, he makes Riddick Moss look like a charisma machine with star presence.

Don't sleep on the FCW documentary. It's great stuff. Was really interesting to see some of the folks who didn't make it. A strong mic worker or two in that bunch.
