  1. That's my assumption as well. I wonder if any of the mostly useless MFTs will be released too (I'd keep Solo and never would've hired any of the others in the first place).
  2. WWE releases today: Uncle Howdy Nikki Cross Joe Gacy Zoey Stark Alba Fyre Andre Chase And probably more to come...
  3. Sad news. I liked him. His career highlight is probably a super fun match with Cactus Jack at Clash of the Champions.
  4. I don't see that happening, for a couple of reasons: 1. Vince McMahon was clearly never really a Steamboat fan - at least not to the same degree. 2. Vince Russo definitely wouldn't have been. "Learn how to cut a promo, bro." "Turn heel, bro, because swerve, bro." "Join The Oddities, bro."
  5. I could see Ricky Steamboat, at best, in the Rick Martel spot with the TV Title against guys like Booker T. Which, honestly, not the worst use of Steamboat in the world. But that's as optimistic as I get when it comes to how I think WCW would've used Steamboat.
  6. I'm four months late in responding to this, but I'd argue that Steamboat got out at the right time. I have zero faith that he would've been used properly in the Nitro era. Bobby Eaton was reduced to literal jobber status. Maybe Steamboat wouldn't have fallen that far, but I don't see him being used well either.
  7. This is awesome. This is not. From arguably the breakout star of the documentary to this garbage, it's been a sad slide from Hollywood Haley J. If you said when this first aired that Cash Flo would be the biggest star to come out of it, no one would have believed you. At best, I figured he'd get semi-regular role on AEW Dark or TNA and Haley J would end up in WWE or AEW. Instead, he's on a show with Sly and she's fulfilling Dana White's wife beater fantasies.

    WWE TV Megathread

I don't see Brock losing at WrestleMania, sadly, especially with Oba getting the upper hand now. They'll think that's enough. It isn't.

CallIing it now - IF Ronda vs. Toni happens, Gina Carano interferes.
  10. I remember liking the Missy Hyatt book. I wouldn't call it a cash grab. It's exactly what you'd expect a Missy Hyatt book to be. You can't compare it to Mick Foley's first book or whatever.

I like Jade and think the majority of the criticism against her (NOT HERE) is rooted in racism and misogyny, but man, she is fucking terrible at Twitter.

  14. The Becky Lynch book is currently $1.99 on Kindle. https://www.amazon.com/Becky-Lynch-Your-Average-Girl-ebook/dp/B0C7RNBXXC I finally finished the Gorilla Monsoon book. It's LONG but very in-depth and worth reading. There's no "dirt," so to speak, because Gorilla was pretty squeaky clean. The "worst" thing you can say about him is that he was loyal to the WWE until the end. And why not? He was treated like royalty there and was able to provide a good living for his family, which was his main priority. Meltzer and his brainwashed acolytes are pretty embarrassing in retrospect, "awarding" Gorilla "worst announcer" for years when he was anything but. Did Monsoon ever end up in the meaningless WON HOF? My friend read it and showed me a few transcripts. It looks like tons of fun.
  15. Surprised it took this long for someone to post about the AMC premiere, which I would charitably refer to as a complete fucking disaster and one of the worst shows I've ever seen. It was the first time I've watched TNA in years, and it will probably be the last. Supposedly, Genesis was much better, but who in their right mind would actually pay money to watch that after this show? Certainly not me! Tommy Dreamer and Delirious need to be fired, and Carlos Silva should step down.
  16. Trey has already been released from AEW - apparently at his own request - and is taking a break from wrestling.
  17. I'm going through the Gorilla book right now. Very good so far. The Vince book, Ringmaster by Abraham Josephine Riesman, is currently 99 cents on Kindle. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B3Y7K6D5/

Imagine being what's-her-name - the castoff from NXT - and that other loser right about now. This could have been them.

I don't hate Pac at all. I just - correctly - don't see him as a top guy. He has never has been and never will be. At most, maybe he'll get a token Kazarian-like reign late in his career, and even that feels like a wildly optimistic prediction. Meanwhile, Sting - an actual main eventer, which PAC will never be - spent three years helping to establish Darby Allin as a big deal and future World Champion. Darby shouldn't be losing to PAC, period.

    AEW TV Megathread

Unless Darby is somehow no longer pegged as a future World Champion and one of the wrestlers considered the future of the company, this made no sense to me, because PAC will never, ever - EEEVVVEERRR! - be that guy. He might not even be the guy behind the guy.
  21. This broken board won't let me edit the OP. Here's an article from Mike Mooneyham for the Post & Courier. https://www.postandcourier.com/sports/wrestling/voice-of-mid-atlantic-wrestling-bob-caudle-dies-at-age-95/article_0aacc6b7-b2b2-4207-8139-38ab97a4ea2b.html
