Hey i'm Jonathan,i'm 23 and from Ireland,got into wrestling in 1998 watching Raw in a friends house and only really watched WWE until 2007 with the exception of the odd WCW or ECW show during that time.Eventually i got into Japanese stuff and now i enjoy it more then anything else loved the AJ and NJ 80s sets and i'm really trying to watch everything in order from the 90s starting with getting the 1990 yearbook.Found PWO from people on Twitter linking to different threads on here and podcasts featuring Will and the Titans,so i'm going to try and post more but i enjoy reading the different discussions and finding out about new stuff all the time. yeah this is what stood out the most to me by far, and i haven't been around rovert nearly as long as the rest of yall. the way he talks about some of the women in wrestling gives me some nasty vibes, having dealt with creepers/stalkers in the past. I know Rovert can rub people the wrong as this thread clearly shows but these are some pretty horrible accusations to throw at him for all his faults to say he gives off a creepers/stalkers vibe is a pretty damn harsh thing to say about someone.

Pretty big overreaction Loss,sure Rovert can be a bit of a know it all at times but i've never seen him going out of his way to bash PWO infact if he hadn't posted links to some topics on here in the past i probably would never have found it not to mention him recommending the PWO podcasts only today like in the pic.

Any advice on watching the Memphis 80s set have only watched the Japanese sets so far should i just go from disc one onwards or watch some of the promos and angles leading to the matches on the latter discs.

Just getting into BattlArts and really enjoying Ikeda so when i saw a match of his from NOAH this month show up i decided to watch it,well up until a certain point it's pretty damn clear he ain't the same then he did this

Fully agree that match is in my top ten so far love the struggle it takes for KENTAFuji to even get in any kind of offense and KENTA turning into Kawada for a few minutes with Misawa and the crowd going crazy for it is great really don't know what Meltzer was watching.

This has probably been talked about before but as someone relatively new to puro the one thing i always heard from wrestlers when talking about Japanese crowds was how quiet they are,that they are more respectful and don't make as much noise but in watching alot of NJ over the last 18 months and catching up with the All Japan 80s set and 90s stuff some of the loudest crowds i have ever heard are Japanese,so why do a lot of wrestlers say this.

Just going a little off topic but apart from Will and Barnett is there anybody else who do comps.

Hi only new on here but where i try to to look at different topics i get this I have to click each post individually to read through the topic its a bit awkward to read through any help would be appreciated.
