  1. Cool. What about Steve Williams? I remember his ECW title loss at start of 97 beinghis first US pinfall in years.
  2. Not sure, just read about it in an Observer.
  3. I'd always thought that Piper had a very lengthy no pinfalls policy prior to WM8. I've seen him pinned by Snuka in '85, is that were it began? Or was it more a 'not losing to Hogan' policy? Also, after WM8, he seemed very selective about pinfall loses - are there many examples? Brody - I know he dropped a fall to Abby in World Class in late '87. When was he last pinned prior to that? Steve Williams/Terry Gordy - Did they both refuse to lose in the US because of Japan (the Hansen/Brody excuse)? Did they enjoy lengthy non-pinfall stints in US also? Hogan - Atlas, Andre, Warrior. Is that it from 1981-90? I'm fascinated by how wrestlers could get away with this for so long. I know, it was a different world, wrestlers had more control over their careers etc but still, Jesus! *I include submission losses in all these too.
  4. That sounds appalling. I never listen to Cornette pre-interview. Nor Jericho, Ross or Austin. Don't want to sound harsh, but I'm not there for their musings on life etc.
  5. I know 4 a fact our own Johnny Sorrow informed Parv. He asked if their were any shots of Dibiase in it. Cool. I should probably ask him directly, but isn't he ever tempted to watch Raw or whatever? Do you guys ever bring it up before recording Titans? I respect his conviction, but I'd find it very difficult to seal myself off in a pre-2000 world.......
  6. Is this the live Mid Atlantic show? No, it's the following week.
  7. No comments yet about about the lovely 'Forever young' Hogan tribute video on Raw? Did anyone tell Parv?
  8. Oh, any chance of doing the same for the '00s?
  9. Enjoyed this one lads - really good topic. Although 1999 WWF is the redheaded stepchild round here, and I'm not calling these top 10 at all, might I be so bold as to suggest Rock/Mankind at Valentine's Day Massacre, Austin/Rock at Backlash and surely at least one or two of the 75 Rock/HHH matches during the year as worthy of mention?
  10. I knew Kubrick started as a photographer and made a short about a boxer but - wow! - cool photos. Imagine if he'd turned his cool hard stare towards wrestling sometime..... Oh well.
  11. Started listening. I'd have to round that out to a top 5 in 2000 - Rumble, Backlash, Judgment Day, Fully Loaded and SummerSlam. Gun to my head, I'd put FL first and JD second.
  12. Hello? Anybody...... (tumbleweed)
  13. I think it's hilarious he's been going for a few months and nobody has commented yet. I haven't listened to any. Has anyone else? Any recommendations?
  14. You clearly haven't heard too much of Colt then. Why's that? I've listened to him quite a bit, thought he was fairly upbeat most of the time.....
  15. In the same boat. I can 'do' Raw in 45 minutes or so. I'm far more interested in the wealth of podcasts out there. That Dylan is one busy boy...
  16. .....that is, of course, if no one has the balls to point this flaw out to Cena (which seems apparent). Work around him.
  17. Similarly, you know how everyone hates the amount of spotcalling we see and hear these days? Isn't that at least partly the fault of WWE production? If you know Cena's tendency to talk freely, surely someone in the truck could ease up on the close ups...
  18. Watched the extras last night. Beth Pheonix tells a story about botching something in OVW and then Paul telling her not to attempt any move in public that she can't hit ten times out of ten. Paul never talked to Sabu, huh?
  19. Enjoyed this show guys. One quibble - why was 'birds talk limited to Dallas? I loved their 1986 Mid-South stuff.
  20. Liked the show from the Mid-Atlantic Convention. Sounded like a lively gathering to hear him preach.
  21. Just got round to this today. Scott's on the one with no HHH? That's just mean. Good show, and reminded me 2005, like 2002 was a bit of a 'all-over-the-show' WWE year.
  22. I was kicking myself that I'd listened to him on Jericho and Austin's podcasts before watching the doc. It would have been far more interesting the other way round.
  23. Gave this a listen yesterday, good stuff. Looking forward to Scott's increasingly desperate attempts to defend HHH for the next 11 months. A thought occurred to me - was there ever such a massive difference in quality between Smackdown and Raw title matches on one show, before or since?
  24. Aha, the plot thickens... Siding with Cornette a bit more now. Of the two, I think Keller is usually more guilty of snide, unnecessary barbs on the show than Mitchell. Maybe Mitchell's grown up a lot since then.
  25. Sounds like Corny alright.... Thanks for that.
