Dino Bravo & Demo Smash defeated Muta & Andre the Giant in a King of the Ring Qualifying Match In a very odd match, we saw Bravo and Smash defeat Muta and Andre. The problem came when the Giant Gonzalez walked down to the ring and got Andre’s attention… Muta then ran up and spit the green myst in his face which sent Andre to the floor and then we saw Gonzalez choke out Andre while the referee, who was oblivious, awarded the match to Smash and Dino via a countout. The Bushwhackers put up a good fight - event eliminating Nikolai and the Barbarian but fell to the Hart Foundation. The One Man Gang was a force to be reckoned with securing huge eliminations of Tito Santana, and Jimmy Snuka along with Demolition Smash. Randy Savage was the clear favorite but met a lot of adversity - especially after eliminating the giant One Man Gang from the battle royal before Terry Funk came out of the back and pulled Savage over the top as Valentine, Honky, and Bravo eliminated him. The final combatants were Haku, Dino, Valentine, Honky, Duggan, Davey Boy, and Martel. Haku was eliminated by a huge double clothesline from Duggan and Smith… no Haku holds on! Martel locked up with Duggan and was tossed out when Honky and Dino eliminated them. Davey Boy put on an epic showdown in a 3 on 1 against the Hart Foundation and held more than his own First to go was the Honkytonk Man who got power slammed over the top rope to the floor. WWF Championship Dusty Rhodes challenges Rick Rude © w/ Bobby Heenan The crowd erupts in anticipation as the legendary Rick Rude enters the arena, oozing confidence and charisma. Across the ring, the American Dream Dusty Rhodes stands tall, embodying the fighting spirit of the working class. The referee holds up the prestigious WWF Title, signifying the importance of this match. The bell rings, and both competitors circle each other, locked in a battle of wills. Rude strikes first with a quick jab to the midsection, but Rhodes retaliates with a flurry of powerful punches, driving Rude into the corner. The fans are on their feet, cheering for their favorite wrestler. Rude manages to turn the tables with a well-timed eye poke, temporarily blinding Rhodes and gaining the upper hand. He capitalizes on this momentary advantage with a series of devastating suplexes, wearing down his opponent. But Rhodes refuses to stay down, fighting back with a burst of adrenaline-fueled energy. As the match reaches its climax, both wrestlers are running on pure determination. Rude attempts his signature Rude Awakening finisher, but Rhodes counters with a thunderous Bionic Elbow out of nowhere! The impact echoes throughout the arena as Rude crashes to the mat. Rhodes is looking to finish… that is until Heenan tries to stop him… Heenan is holding his leg… this gives Rude enough time to get up… he comes over but Rhodes with another big elbow and Rude is down! Here comes a masked man… he jumps out of the crowd and comes up and nails Dusty with a nasty left hand! We see long dark curly hair… we don’t see the face… Rude drapes his arm over for the 3 count! What a night for Bobby Heenan… he now has the King of the Ring and the WWF Champion… this is chaos!

I love seeing Backlund in this setting - along with Shamrock - some guys I can get behind. I would have loved to see Karelin go legit MMA - could he have been beaten?

WCW back on the block they never really left at the end of bad street. I have to go on a little bit of a run here with the Kerry Von Erich and Freebirds thing... I loved it. The Freebirds / Von Erichs is storied and so is Kerry v Flair so blending all of those stories together works really well. Kerry has a lot left in the tank and is a name of names who still stands out in this NWA landscape. I hope to see his rise all the way to the top without the eventual downfall we know will happen.

Good to catch up with the happening of the NWA... like the dirt sheet and quick clips to keep us up to date about what is going on. Junior Heavyweight title always meant something when importance was put on it so I am looking forward to that being a big part of the NWA moving forward. The Great American Bash looks like it is going to be gangbusters with a big battle royal and title matches on the horizon. One has to wonder if this will be a night that changes the course for the NWA or continues to raise the standard of who is who.

Paul E goes on to talk about Jim Duggan, the Twin Towers, and the Rockers. In regards to Duggan… the American Flag waving dumbo… he’s going to get his eyes kicked straight by the greatest athlete in professional wrestling. Next, the Twin Towers… Bossman and One Man Gang… you have looked over the heads of every competitor in your path but today… you look eye to eye with two men who scare you to death… down to your very core. Slick… the man… the myth… the imbecile… the Skyscrapers are going to be standing in that ring whenever you want… or better yet… they’ll be in the back alley… the streets… hell it doesn’t matter because this is the most dominant force every created in professional wrestling and they will exert their force with the passion of 1,000 fires and bring your Twin Towers to the ground! Lastly, Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty went outside their depth when they traveled the country and thought they could handle any and all comers. Well… like the executive that I am… The Dangerous Alliance has connections throughout this planet and it was those connections that brought the Midnight Express to their opposition… won the titles… and now brought them back here for all of you people to understand what tag team dominance really means. This is the Dangerous Alliance… there is nothing that can stand up to us but everything is underneath us and before too long we will bring to world to its knees as we take the WWF to new heights by bringing all your heroes to lower depths than they could ever imagine! Jack Tunney Announcement: Jack Tunney: I have a number of different situations to address here this evening and I am going to go through each of them and the rulings from the WWF board of directors. The first order of business was just brought to my attention. It appears as though The Rockers, Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty, lost the WWF United States Tag Team Championships. That match was not held at a WWF sanctioned event and thus I am accepting the title reign of the Midnight Express… however they will need to defend the titles next week against the Rockers on Superstars of Wrestling! Another topic that has come up is the event that was held on June the 3rd from the Nassau Coliseum. During that event, Jake Roberts came out of the crowd and delivered a DDT to Dusty Rhodes that has caused major head damage. Due this attack, Jake Roberts has been released from his preliminary contract. Roberts was supposed to join the WWF after some injuries but instead chose this course which will end up keeping him out of the WWF indefinitely. In addition to that beginning on July 1st, the WWF will be taking to the Road and presenting a weekly episodic television program called Monday Night Raw! Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura will serve as hosts for the program while Gene Okerlund will conduct interviews along with special segments from the likes of Brother Love and others. Lastly, On June the 3rd, we saw WWF Champion, Randy Macho Man Savage lose the WWF Championship to Ravishing Rick Rude. There was a lot of controversy surrounding that match due to the interference of Terry Funk. After reviewing the tape and the contracts, the WWF will recognize the title change due in part to Terry Funk being an official during the match, thus his interference, while unwarranted, does not count as a disqualification. Rick Rude is the new WWF Champion and will need to defend the title against Randy Macho Man Savage on July 1sts inagural episode of RAW!! We will see you on July 1st for the inaugural episode of WWF RAW as we come to you from Meadowlands in New Jersey!
-
How severe would the hate be if I moved away from superstars in primetime and and did raw instead? It would still be taped and wouldn’t be live because we’re not ready for that yet but I like the name and I like the format a lot better than the canned shows anyone care?

"It is expected that the next event will be Bad News Allen's last appearance for the UWF, at least for the time being. He will be reporting back to the WWF, and sources have said that UWF's treatment of Bad News Allen has allowed a relationship to blossom between UWF and the WWF, with Chris Benoit's appearance at the last UWF event serving as another example. Bad News Allen could return later for the anniversary event, but nothing has been confirmed as of press time." One of the more frutiful loans I have had in these types of games. It is something to have guys like Bad News go and show their grit and build up that reputation or in his case... rebuild it... as they come back to the states and sports entertainment.

I appreciate the effort into these tv shows and how it keeps everything moving forward. You can see these things actually happening which helps with the realism of your promotion.
-
AWA is really amping things up to kick off the summer... Hogan, Jumbo, Vader, Hansen, Sarge, Nikita... the top of the card is heavy but who will survive... color me orange... hopefully politics won't play a role.
-
I think one of the best things you can do with this promotion is continue the fan interaction piece. That announcement for Bruno next week would pop the fans and you could almost do a whole segment right there which is something I would find difficult with the WWF.

I don't know if there is fallout from WrestleWar or rebuilding. Big names coming in. hot storylines. Now we can play the Will Luger cash in card... I always wonder what would have happened if they pulled the trigger on him before 91... Also... Harts don't give up a feud no matter what... Ask Bret about Goldberg!
