Smackdown potentially having a core roster built around AJ, Owens, Zayn, Nakamura, Orton, Corbin, Harper, The New Day, AA, The Usos, and other assorted goodness looks pretty fucking swell to me guys. They even avoided the Enzo and Cass grenade.

No reason to go all in with Nak immediately. He's not going anywhere. You start with someone small like Dolph, then move up to potentially beating Orton.

It's kinda amazing how many bullets Smackdown missed in this. Losing Miz and Alexa sucks, but they kept AJ, didn't gain the anvil that is Rollins, dropped Ambrose & Wyatt (I still love you Bray, but WWE doesn't know you like I do), and gained Zayn and immediately treated him like he was a bigger deal then Raw ever did. Most of there additions haven't been major, but none of them save maaaaybe Jinder have actually been bad. So, naturally, Enzo and Cass coming in the next 20 minutes.

I'm mixed. Primo and Epico aren't exactly setting the world on fire, but I don't doubt that they are pretty damn good workers that can more then hold there own if given an actual push.

I don't think they've officially set a kayfabe for it, but I would guess there was a negotiation process and/or something like a draft lottery were each brand could "protect" so many people. It's kinda logical that Bryan wouldn't protect Miz and Angle might not protect Zayn, for instance.

I'll co-sign the "Remember TJ Perkins looked like he could be a star" thing wasn't actually a thing that existed. I watched the CWC. He wasn't one of the top 8 wrestlers in it. And, with more information on a couple guys since then (Dar showing he can play a pretty good heel, Ali looking like a hidden gem), I'm not sure if he was in the top 10.

Nakamura on real WWE TV was supposed to happen. Nakamura on real WWE TV in a program with the freaking Miz is beyond surreal I didn't know that Dillinger was on the "list" of people being called up after WM. I wonder if he is replacing the Drifter Yeah, imagine telling someone 18 months ago that Shinsuke Nakamura and Miz would be in a feud Imagine telling them there's a real case Miz had a better last 12 months then Nak did.

Tye Dillinger was a guy who kinda hung around in FCW/NXT for a long while. He's not young, and even debuted in WWE all the way back in the ECW days, didn't do crap, got released, re-signed, etc. After his team with Jason Jordan went nowhere leading to Jordan forming the Gable team. As a means of kinda turning Dillinger into a "Jobber to the Stars" they gave him the "Perfect 10" gimmick, which has blown up much more then anyone could have expected, partly because of the chants, and partly because people knew Dillinger wasn't planned to go anywhere and they wanted to give him his due. The chants have kinda taken a life of their own, but they are based off Dillinger.
