  1. Ive got to go with Hogan and Jimmy Hart 93-95 what was the point? why pair the most annoying wimpy git with your monster face? how about you guys?
  2. I forget the match but it was in THE WCW Brother when Randy Savage dropped a top rope elbow on Hulk hogan to activate Hulk smash mode but the triple cage of doom where Hulk and Savage had to beat 6 monster heels jumped the shark multiple times in the same match Z Gangsta anyone?
  3. given the quality of both guys and the heat they generated feuding why did their matches stink out the joint? can anyone point me to a decent match between the two?
  4. If Mean Mark had jumped out of that egg in 90 ... christ it would have made the birth of Akeem look like Citizen kane in comparison Fred ottman would have sold it, he ditches the Tugboat character and hatches as a hybrid human turkey and is embroiled in a 3 way feud with the returning red rooster and Koko B ware to decide which has the best WWE bird gimmick The blow off comes in the shape of a giant Birdcage match where Ottman breaks every bone in his body when trying to escape the cage, he attempts to actually to take flight by leaping from the top to the floor. MY GOD HES BROKEN IN HALF! He recovers just in time to debut in WCW as the Shockmaster...
  5. who in 2015 would have thought out of all the ex wrestlers podcasting Flair would have the best show? its everything Pipers podcast should have been but wasnt. I hope he drags in Scott Steiner or Kevin Nash for a discussion...
  6. big fan of the show but Will ease up on the reins, I dont give a f..k if the show runs 3 hrs plus given the quality of guests and discussion. Let it breathe
  7. great episode from consistently one of the top tier wrestling podcasts
  8. since this was the lamest reveal of all time lets suggest something better to emerge from the egg Paul Bearer perhaps? not sure how to tie it all in but just the thought of that man emerging from a giant egg gives me great joy any ideas?
  9. oh god, yes. I always felt like I was alone in that regard, and this goes back to Monsoon. I love Jesse but there were times with McMahon where he'd be completely insufferable and just walk all over Vince, and Vince is just so bad at rebuttal stuff at this timeframe that Ventura just dominated the broadcast and sometimes got himself over more than the guys in the ring (love Heenan too but this was a habit of his as well). It's not as bad on Superstars (but that's not to say it's great), but on SNME it definitely can be a major detriment to the show at times. Monsoon would actually trade barbs with Jesse and Jesse is a MUCH better guy in the broadcast booth when he has someone that can keep up with him, which is why Monsoon and Ventura are a far, far better team to me than McMahon and Ventura. as quick as Heenan was in his prime he nearly always detracted from the in ring work, he was wretched at times in the WCW burying top quality cruiser matches
  10. oh the memories from the balls in the mouth finisher to him dropping that pipe bomb in Wcw" IM NOT THE SHARK, IM NOT A FISH, IM A MAN.." couple of years later he became Golga the cartman obsessed idiot I was fond of him hospitalising Hogan but he should have been fed to the Warrior instead (matches would have been shit but could have drawn more hosue than the Rude matches)
  11. ok lets forget the Lonely/fuckmoney parody and focus on his career in the WWE and WCW. What are your favorite memories of him or general thoughts on his run in both companies? and which run was better? notable wins Haku Ted Dibiase twice Skinner Repo Man WCW Horace Hogan Ernest Miller Prince Iuakea
  12. Ive got to give a shout out to the Squared circle gazette! found your guys podcast through this forum and its a bloody entertaining listen
  13. although he was able to put on a cracking opening match with the right opponent in 94-95 I still hated him with a passion, all of his gimmicks were terrible and his promo work downright awful by the time he negotiated his way into WWE the fans couldnt have given less of a fuck and in the end he just got backed over by Sable who unlike her husband was able to draw a dime I dont hate him anymore but this is the most time Ive spent thinking about his career Now Im angry because its bringing back horrible memories of Sables huge run in 98 and the way she treated Luna after getting put over at wm14, and Im back hating Mero again
  14. am I only one who enjoyed this run? what did you people make of his stint there? I thought he had a good look for the time and reasonable ring work. I think he struck WCW at the wrong time and was buried by politics and writing. Sting looked disinterested in their feud he would have done well in the WWE in 98 with the same gimmick
  15. bloated, painfully slow, terrible hair, no charisma or promo skills and had Frenchy Martin as his manager he even looked slower than Muraco in their 1988 PPV matches. hated his finisher as well
  16. its me former WCW tag team champion! hopefully Im not dead before you and Chad trawl through 1995 WCW and get to one of my favorite PPVs ever Uncensored 1996!
  17. thanks for this link, one of the best listens Ive had recently
  18. I agree, the two hosts have good chemistry and the episodes are varied and fun
