  1. The 1st wargames match is still missing the first 5 minutes. Why is this?

    WWE Hidden Gems

From David Bixenspan's twitter. According to a WWE spokesman, Hidden Gems on WWE Network will be one match most weeks. That can change, like last week being more to reintroduce the concept, but for now, we should expect a match a week. I get they don't want to upload too much, just wanted a little more. Not the way I would have done it but hey it's better than nothing.

Yes, but if it's just one match, at least it's that match? I'll take Brisco/Flair any day of the week. I've read it goes about 30min and even though Jack is past his prime it still should be a very good match.

It will be interesting to see how much we get this week. If it's one match, that will really hurt the concept for a lot of people. Guess we will soon find out.

Brisco/Flair, that's awesome. hope it's a long match. This might be Jack's last NWA Title shot.

I watched the KOTR match again, Jericho should be furious. It was a very good match, crowd was really hot for it. Their Unforgiven 01 match is damn good too. Excerpt from Jericho's book A Lion's Tale on his ECW match with RVD. My victory over the Jericho Curse in ECW was short-lived when the bastard used Mapquest and found me during my second ECW match in Queens, New York. It was hard to believe that the New York City fans could be more brutal than the Pennsylvania brethren, but they were. Paul booked me against RVD and wanted to use the match as our official TV debut. Rob and I had similar styles, similar size, and similar worldwide experience. He'd spent some time overseas and made a name for himself in Japan just as I had. But the match sucked worse than a toothless vampire. We were a step off on everything and there was no sign of the chemistry we'd had the night before. The fans turned on us, chanting "This match sucks," "Please go home," "End this match." Even the dreaded "You fucked up" chant reared its ugly head when I screwed up a simple arm drag. At the time neither of us realized how bad the match actually was. Paul claimed he couldn't air it on TV because the tape in the camera was defective. It only took me five years to figure out that the tape was fine. It was the match that was defective.

I want gems of all kinds as well, hopefully more good than bad. But it was a bad match, it was an off night for both. I thought their KOTR 02 match was their best together, I would say it was match of the night.

The RVD/Jericho match sucked. That was bad. Keep those "gems" away from me.

The Battle Royal is all kinds of fun. I cant believe Thesz was 71 in this and still in great shape. I so wanted Carpentier to skin the cat, not quite. The only part they cut out was Al Costello singing Waltzing Matlida, how could they. lol

I just watched this. You wouldn't know David was only 2 months in, he was pretty good here and the post match endorsement by Race was pure class. If any Von Erich deserved to be World Champion, it was David.

Damn, what a fight between Piper & Valentine. Babyface Piper is awesome to watch. I want to see the rest of that show. Race/Flair & Briscos vs Steamer/Blood are the other 2 main matches. Basically Starrcade in July.

A full 1971 CWF episode devoted to Jack Brisco is pretty cool. All I need is a Brisco/Dory classic to show up and I'm good.

All the previous gems and new gems are in the Vault section and because of that I don't think they will remove them.

YES, the Race/David match is the one from Ft Worth. How did this survive?

Simmons vs Vader has commentary. Wasn't expecting that.

Yeah, I not expecting each week to be this big, if they keep it between 5-10 videos each week I'll be happy. It's just starting to upload now.

  18. I just saw the 8/8/92 episode and it showed Simmons getting picked, about 3 mins of the match and a post match interview. The full match is on the 8/16/92 episode of Main Event.
  19. Here is the ending https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iovic63MeJQ
  20. I get that feeling now that the Race/David match is the one from St Louis in 79, hopefully its not but they have mislabeled some dates in the past. The 77 match took place in Fort Worth and you would think all that footage was taped over or lost. Hope I'm wrong, hope its a new match but my expectations have lowered.
  21. This match intrigues me. A Race for The Yellow Rose Watch the match that puts David Von Erich on the map as a contender for the NWA Heavyweight Championship as he battles Harley Race in a 2-Out-of-3 Falls Match. – (WCCW - 8/15/1977) David had only debuted 2 months prior and according to wikipedia it was a 30 min draw. And Harley in 1977 was awesome. Looking forward to seeing it.
