Sorry for falling behind again... I really enjoyed Summerslam! Great job as this offered so much to for the fans. I think that major events need some angles to end, some to continue and some to start. I think you delivered on all three. Look at the Intercontinetal Tag Team Title match... the feud with the Rougeaus Brothers and the Commenwealth ended with a new title and it looks like the Commonwealth are now at odds with each other. Great booking and story line. New... lets see what the Ronin can do.... Wonder if we will see more of Gang and Brown as Brown seems upset at Slick. Always love a Rhode/Funk match I do wonder if Jake "the Snake" can recover from such a clean defeat. To be left knocked out from the claw might mean the end of his time in the WWF or else he would need a serious rebuilt. I also like to use of the video for the title match. While we enjoy this hobby, sometimes it is better left to the professionals!

With a little time to spare, I thought I’d give a quick update to some of the angles in Memphis. Honky Tonk Man vs Tommy Rich Last we saw, HTM had just lost an impromptu match with the USWA Champion, Jerry “The King” Lawler when Lawler clobbered HTM with his own guitar and the ref made the 3-count. HTM was fuming and threw a tantrum, refusing to leave the ring. Tommy “Wildfire” Rich had the next match and had a bit of a war of words with HTM where Rich basically said that HTM was acting like a spoiled baby. When Rich turned his back, HTM and the rest of the First Family attacked Wildfire. Eventually, Junkyard Dog and a few others made the save but the damage had been done. Wildfire was a no-show the following week when Lance said that under doctor’s orders, Tommy Rich would be out of action for a while. This led to the HTM and Jimmy hart having a grand ol’ time laughing about who the baby was now. HTM said that this is professional wrestling and if you can’t take a few bumps and bruises then this business isn’t for you. The following week, we get a video from Tommy Rich where his eyes are black and blue and he has tape across his nose. He tells the fans that if it wasn’t for the doctor’s orders he’d be there whoopin up on Honky Tonk Man. He lets everyone know that he has a broken nose and a concussion but will be back real soon where his first order of business will be taking care of HTM. Again, HTM and Jimmy Hart seemed to be enjoying this and asking what type of professional wrestler misses weeks of work because of a broken nose and because he had his bell rung. HTM let’s Wildfire know that if he can’t take the heat, get out of the fire! Lance Russell reminds HTM and Hart that it is the doctor that won’t clear Tommy for action. Many of the other wrestler’s have expressed concern for Wildfire including JYD and Jeff Jarrett and the Southern Boys. One person though, Jerry Lawler, has said nothing about Tommy Rich and the attack by the First Family. THE USWA TITLE Jerry Lawler continues to have a nice run as champion with wins over Eddie Gilbert, Paul Orndorff, Curt Hennig, Dick Slater, HTM and Greg Valentine in recent months. Lawler, with his bodyguard, Big Bossman, gives a nice promo praising his ability to rid Memphis of all of its troubles and wonders who will be next. Next thing you know, Bossman steps up to the mic and begins by praising Lawler for everything he’s done in Memphis. He goes through how he had to chase Hennig all over the country to just get a title shot, He reminds people that he had to overcome Randy Savage running him over with a car. He goes through the bounty that Dick Slater was trying to collect on his head. He reminds the fans that he defeated Mr. Wonderful in a battle of the piledrivers. Bossman also goes into the decade long feud with Jimmy Hart and who he has beaten each and every member of Hart’s current stable. Jerry Lawler thanks Bossman for all his kind words but Bossman says he’s not quite through. Boss Man: “But Lawler, there is one person here in Memphis who has beaten Curt Hennig, Randy Savage, Dick Slater, Paul Orndorff, Eddie Gilbert, Greg Valentine and Jim Neidhart in the exact same time span and you….and that’s the Big Bossman! I know you brought me here to help protect you from this so-called bounty and I think I did that job very well but now… I think it’s time you give me what is rightfully mine…. A USWA World Heavyweight Title shot!” Jerry Lawler: “Bossman… rattling off wins is one thing but remember, yours came after I already beat them. Each night I have to face a man at his best trying to win the World Title. You faced them when they were already beaten down, a shell of themselves. They had nothing to motivate them for when they faced you. We will see about your title shot. It is truly up to Jerry Jarrett. Lawler walks off while Bossman looks at the ground with his hands on his hips. He obviously didn’t get the answer he wanted. The Southern Heavyweight Title Randy Savage continues to be on a role. Except for a DQ loss to Bossman, he has beaten everyone put in front of him. The more interesting thing with Savage is strange behavior with Miss. Elizabeth. Every time he faces any adversary, he seems to put her in harms way to help him. Other times, he is demeaning towards her and demands her to do degrading tasks but anytime anyone else makes a gesture, comment or even looks at her, Mach Man goes wild! For now, it seems like the Southern Title is his for as long as he wants it but can he stay mentally stable enough to keep the run going. USWA Word TV Title Situation While Eddie Gilbert is the champion, this title seems to be under the control of Madusa’s man, Stunning Steve Austin. Since his arrival in the USWA, he has made it clear to all that he wants to be the face of the franchise, and he believes that can be achieved by winning the TV title. Gilbert and Jeff Jarrett have been feuding for this title going back to when it was the USWA Tri-State Title and have had numerous matches once it has become the TV title but each match, Stunning Steve Austin has appeared and caused either a DQ or a count-out. The interesting thing here is that he has no favorites. He will go after Eddie Gilbert or Jeff Jarrett. All that matters to him is to show everyone that he is in control of the situation. He has nailed both Gilbert and Jarrett with his devastating move, the Stun Gun where he drops his opponent over the top rope neck or head first. Jerry Jarrett has said over and over that this is not the way to earn a title shot but one thing for certain is that Madusa and Stunning Steve seem to do things their own way. JJ and Gilbert and scheduled for another title shot next week, let’s see what happens. USWA World Tag Team Titles The Steiners continue to be the team! It doesn’t matter if its Southern Justice, The Dirty White Boys or any combination of the First Family, Rick and Scott continue to come out on top…. for now!! This week on TV, Lance Russell was interviewing the Steiner brothers after they destroyed two jobbers. The Steiners continued to be fan favorites but they are extremely confident and belief that they are the best tag team in the world. Well, Lance had an interesting video for them… it was from the Road Warriors. Animal and Hawk who admitted to being on tour in Japan said they heard the Steiners were claiming to be the best and they had a problem with that. They said they would love to get them in a ring and show them who is the best. This seemed to excite the Steiners but with the Rick and Scott being in Memphis and Animal and Hawk being in Japan, this is just a pipe dream… for now. USWA Southern Tag Team Titles Jimmy Hart’s Anvil and Hammer still hold the titles but for how long… we are unsure! This week on TV, we get another one of those hype videos of the Rock n Roll Express where Ricky and Robert let everyone know they will be in Memphis real soon and they want Jim Neidhart and Greg Valentine’s Southern Titles! Other USWA News Ever sense Junkyard Dog and Jeff Gaylord defeated Dutch Mantell and The Angel of Death, Dutch has been missing in action. With Dutch, this could mean anything. He could be off looking for another security guard. He could have fled Memphis in fear of The Missouri Tiger or he simply could be pretending to be sick. Keep an eye out for The Dirty Dutchman. He could appear anywhere. Speaking if missing in action, Brian Christopher has disappeared ever sense Jimmy Hart and the First Family told him that they would reveal a big secret in he ever appeared in the USWA again. This must be a huge secret if the promising youngster has given up his career to keep it under wraps. Also missing, Ms. Alexandria York. In recent weeks, she came on air and said that her company, The York Foundation had partnered with a wrestler who had come into large amount of money and they were looking to buy the USWA. When Jerry Jarrett turned down an over worth over a million dollars, York said that he left her no choice but to simply take the company from Jarrett. Since then, we have not seen her and have received no more information on the wealthy wrestler she has partnered with. Southern Justice and the Southern Boys are on a collision course. Southern Justice, Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce along with Wild Bill Irwin are frustrated with the Southern Boys and their phony Southern Gentlemen routine. This conflict is only in the promo stage but with Wild Bill at the helm, you can bet Southern Justice will attack soon!

Wow... I love the AWA. You have always done a great job moving pieces around but this might be my favorite version of the AWA yet. The 4 Horsemen are great. I think adding Larry Z really makes them special. Also like the addition of Kerry VonErich! He could do big things here! Jimmy GOlden is a great choice for Cactus. Golden always had that dirty, I'll do anything attitude and I could see this really helping out the career of Cactus Jack! Add in Texas Red, Saito, DeBeers, KKB, Iceman, Idol, etc... the choices are endless. Have fun!

First, sorry for falling so far behind but it was fun reading a bunch of shows all together as the angles stay fresh in my head. I love your use of the rating system during these recent string of shows. First, Luger not counting Sting at all because he wasn't in the top 10 and then #1 vs #2 for Clash of Champions... Nice touch. Also liked how quickly Kama and Luger went after Steamboat after he became the top contender. Good booking also with Sting part of the save!! Also, the build to Hennig was great! Can't wait to see where you go with Pillman and Curt as these are two top players but I think you have an out with Pillman and the tag team situation! Also nice addition with Tama. The 3 person tag team works well with them! Skinner will be a nice midcard guy who eventually takes a beating! Good depyh piece for you. Is Nikita making another turn or just has some respect for Sting... interesting angle to watch! Nice job!

Two very fun Prime Times! I really liked the promo with Dusty! His emotions really showed on both ends whether he was talking about how he couldn't help his son or the watermelon theif, egg suckin dog Terry Funk. Great job and really looking forward to their Texas Death Match at SummerSlam. Bravo vs Duggan should be another great match at Summerslam! I might have saved the great visual of Snuka coming off of Andre's shoulders for a bigger event then TV but this move would never get old and you could build it into the greatest finisher in WWF history! Really looking forward to SummerSlam!

Aired on July 26, 1990 Highlights from this week’s TV Show Ms. Alexandria York has to wait to get her answer! The show started with Jerry Jarrett joining Lance Russell and Dave Brown where Lance showed a video from last week when Ms. Alexandria York appeared on set and said that her company, the York Foundation has partnered with a wrestler who has come into some new and serious wealth. She went on to say that her and the wrestler who has decided to remain anonymous for now, are looking to buy the USWA. Jarrett replied that the company was not for sale but Ms. York proceeded to give him an envelope with the Foundation’s offer inside. As the show closed, Jarrett opened the envelop and went a little wide-eyed at the offer. This week, Lance asked Jerry about the offer but all that Jarrett would say is that it was a significant offer and that he has asked Ms. York to appear later in the show to get her answer. Devastation Inc. is no more? Skandar Akbar gave a short interview where he told Lance and Dave that he was in the wrestling business for one reason… to hold championship gold!! He admits that so far his men have failed him miserable so he has disbanded his current stable of wrestlers and is set to make a journey around the world and he will not return until he has found the perfect wrestlers. He does anger the Memphis crowd when he tells Lance that after being in the United States for as long as he has, he is quite certain that he will have to go abroad to find this talent as he has seen how weak in both mind and body the Americans are. The Tag Team Division Continues to Explode! The Steiner Brothers, the USWA World Tag Champs, continue to be on top of the mountain as they destroyed two more jobbers on TV this week. While they are clearly fan favorites, even Rick and Scott couldn’t avoid being a little arrogant this week after they put the Grapplers in their place last week and there doesn’t seem to be any other teams ready to challenge for the titles. Southern Justice (Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce along with Wild Bill Irwin) continued their rise up the tag team ranks with a violent win over Steve Simpson and Sam Houston. In their post-match interview, Lance brought up the fact that last week, they mentioned they might have a problem with the Southern Boys. Bill Irwin: “Not might… we do have a problem with the Southern Boys. Look at these two clowns coming out here wearing Confederate Uniforms. Is this what the people of the South want to look up to? Two idiots wearing Halloween costumes that show the South at the worst time in history…. When the South got crushed by the North. If you look like losers, you are losers. Now look at Tex and Shanghai …. This is what Southern Justice looks like. If we want something…. We’re going take it…. And we’ll take it however we want! Southern Boys…. We’re about to take you out! Southern Justice will be dealt… harshly. The Dirty White Boys made their return to Memphis and easily handled Verlon Biggs and Seve Downing with the end coming with The Bucksnort Blaster by Dirty White Boy #1! Lance asked us to take a look at one of those videos set to music to hype up the incoming talent and the video was of none other than The Rock n Roll Express!!!! The video, with a lot of double dropkicks, fast cars, hair, and beautiful women wanting a piece of Ricky and Robert, ended with the RnR Express putting the Southern Tag Team Champions (The Anvil and the Hammer) on notice. The First Family Seems to have accomplished their goal but at what consequence! Last week, Jimmy Hart and the First Family (HTM, Anvil, Hammer & Eddie Gilbert) took offense to Lance Russell giving an interview to Brian Christopher after he pinned Jimmy Hart after Bill Dundee had nailed the “Mouth of the South” will a piledriver. Jimmy Hart claimed to have some big secret about Brian Christopher and that he would reveal it if Brian Christopher ever showed up again in the USWA. This week, the Anvil & the Hammer defended their Southern Tag Titles on TV in a squash match where their post-match promo not only dared the Rock n Roll Express to come and try and take their titles but also pointed out that Brian Christopher was a no show! Later, Honk Tonk was at the podium with Jimmy Hart (still in his neck brace) and they were having a great time talking about how much fun they had beating Brian Christopher all over the country and now the punk is so afraid he is in the witness protection program. Suddenly, Jerry Lawler appeared and he goes straight for HTM. Jerry Lawler: “Honky Tonk Man… Jimmy Hart… I’ve heard about enough of this. You know what you really want is me… You want to take me down… You want to take my title… you want to put me out of wrestling. How about I give you that chance right now! You and me Honky…. In the ring right now for the USWA World Title. Lawler walks over to the ring as Lance Russell calls for a ref. HTM with his guitar along with Jimmy Hart follow Lawler to the ring as ref Jerry Calhoun rushes in. HTM attacks Lawler from behind and has complete control. He is stomping, kicking and punching Lawler… this one looks real personal! After a good 4-minutes of a beat down, all the result of the Pearl Harbor job, HTM nails Lawler with a nasty back drop. As Lawler eventually staggers to his feet, HTM rushes in for a spear but the King jumps out of the way just in time! WHAM… HTM nails Jerry Calhoun with the spear. Calhoun is down and HTM is staggering from his own blow. Jimmy Hart is jumping up and down on the studio floor. Lawler simply walks over to the corner where HTM left his guitar and picks it up! WHAM… Lawler shatters the guitar of the head of HTM and covers him. Jerry Calhoun recovers just in time to make the three count! Lawler takes his world title and walks straight to the locker room. HTM is throwing a temper tantrum like a spoiled 3-year-old. At first, he was jumping up and down screaming at Jerry Calhoun that Lawler cheated by busting his guitar over his head but Calhoun simply shrugs his shoulders saying he didn’t see it. HTM is now kicking and screaming and finally sits down in the middle of the ring and refuses to leave until Calhoun does something. Lance Russell: “Yeah Lawler used the guitar but that’s only because HTM attacked him from behind before the match ever started. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander now get out of the ring Honky Tonk Man. Suddenly Tommy Rich comes out as he was to get ready for his upcoming match. Tommy points at HTM and asks him to leave but HTM starts screaming at Tommy. Tommy Rich: now with Lance “There’s an old saying Lance. Some win and some lose and some just sing the blues. I guess this wanna-be Elvis jerk is just singing the blues! Man that’s the agony of defeat sitting there in the ring right now! HTM: “Hey pretty boy… why don’t you just mind your business and shut up! Wildfire and HTM continue to yell at each other until Rich makes the mistake of turning his back on HTM… WHAM… from behind, HTM with another Pear Harbor job! Here comes the Anvil, the Hammer and Eddie Gilbert. The entire First Family is all over Wildfire. Eventually, Junkyard Dog, Jeff Jarrett, Superstar Dundee and Brad Armstrong make the save. While the damage was already done, there was a big promo from JYD who is making his first TV appearance here in Memphis in a long time and the fans are going Wild. JYD vows revenge as nobody does this to his old friend Tommy Rich. This continues to help Wildfire get over with the Memphis crowd even though Lawler is anti-Rich. Speaking of the King, he was nowhere to be seen after his match with HTM and never came out to check on Wildfire Tommy RIch. Huge Main Event on next week’s show! When Jerry Jarrett came back at the end of the show, he teased next week’s show by saying the main event will be Eddie Gilbert and Jeff Jarrett for the USWA World TV Title. Next he called out Alexandria York. Jarrett explained that he was shocked at the 2,000,000 offer to buy the USWA but he must decline as this is his life and he has big plans for the USWA. Alexandria York: “Mr. Jarrett, I must say that I am a bit surprised but it will be more fun this way. Jerry Jarrett: “I’m not sure I understand. What will be more fun?” AY: “Well instead of buying your little company, now, my partner and I will simply take it. Have a good day.”

I really like Jesse Ventura back in the WWF. He was one of things I really liked about this promtion when I was young. Nice win for King Kevin!

Monday, July, 21, 1990 Tommy Rich defeats Scott Taylor with a Thesz Press. Debut Match: Stunning Steve Austin with Madusa defeats Brad Armstrong with the Stun Gun; a devastating finisher where Austin picks up his opponent from the legs and drops him, neck first across the top ropes. Armstrong proved to be a perfect first opponent for Austin as he was so smooth and willing to take all the bumps and sell each of Austin’s move along with having some name recognition that the fans were impressed with the newcomer. Jeff Jarrett defeated “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff with a roll up after Mr. Wonderful thought he had the JJ in series trouble and started to antagonize the fans to get more heat. USWA World Tag Team Title Match: The Steiner Brothers © defeated The Grapplers with Skandar Akbar when Scott connected with the Frankensteiner for the win. The Grapplers are physical enough to give the Steiners a good match but the technical skill along with the entire bag of big moves by the Steiners has them clearly the best team in the USWA. Grudge Match: “The Missouri Tiger” Jeff Gaylord & ???? vs “Dirty” Dutch Mantel & The Angel of Death With Dutch and the Angel of Death already in the ring, Gaylord comes out all only and Dutch starts laughing and pointing at Gaylord because Dutch thinks The Missouri Tiger couldn’t find anyone to team with him. Suddenly, the speakers start to blare… “ Bomp, Bomp, Bomp… Another One Bites The Dust” and the crowd explodes… It’s the Junkyard Dog! Dutch and The Angel of Death look at each other and jump from the ring. Mantel’s bull whip doesn’t look as intimidating now with JYD swinging a long chain! Dutch starts pointing at the Angel of Death to do something, but he is anything but stupid and gives the Dog the center of the ring to do his little show. Eventually we get to the match where it is a very typical match! Dog and The Missouri Tiger start fast and control the opening segment until the Angel of Death uses some dirty tactics to gain control. Jeff Gaylord now plays the face in peril and when Angel of Death has inflicted enough punishment on Jeff, Dutch demands to be tagged in. Dutch continues to kick and stomp on Gaylord but eventually we get the hot tag and JYD goes nuts. The end comes when JYD connects with the big thump on Dutch! USWA Southern Heavyweight Title Match: Randy “Macho Man” Savage with Miss. Elizabeth vs Big Bossman What a match! Back and forth we go… momentum change after momentum change with many near falls. Bossman and Savage each connected with their finishers only to have the other get their foot across the bottom rope to stop the count. After the powerslam by Bossman, Savage was able to roll out to the Coliseum floor. Bossman followed him out and rammed Savage into the ring apron. Bossman was set to charge in and squish Macho Man against the steel barrier but for the second time in weeks, Savage grabs Miss. Elizabeth and uses her as a human shield! Bossman, not wanting to crush the valet hesitates. The two start to have words… finally, the Bossman hit a nerve and Savage shoved Miss. Elizabeth aside. The two rush at each other and we get a massive collision! Somehow, Bossman gets up first and he and heads back to the ring. Savage, now acting like he cares, goes to check on Elizabeth who was still on the floor. The bell sounds as the ref has counted out Macho Man. Savage goes nuts and starts screaming and pointing at Elizabeth like this is her fault. Bossman rushes back outside and the brawl is back on. Miss. Elizabeth, now crying runs up the apron. Main Event: The First Family (HTM, Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart & Eddie Gilbert) with “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart (still in a neck brace) & Missy Hyatt vs Jerry “The King Lawler, Superstar Bill Dundee & The Southern Boys This one is simple… Wild action with the King getting the win after he hit HTM with the Piledriver. This one seemed personal for the King who was on a tear all match.

Great finish to the Main Event!!! Very realistic! Love the Hair vs Mask match. To some wrestlers, their hair or the mask is truly their identity and these matches seem so personal! Really looking forward to Summer Slam.

This is the perfect format for your territory. You do such a good job of having these faction feuds that this Squadron Battle is perfect!

I wonder how Backland's comment about winning his match for America went over in Japan! Looking forward to seeing where the whole Brazilian thing goes with the Gracie clan!

July 19, 1990 Highlights from this week’s TV show: Jerry Jarrett gets interrupted To open the show, Jerry Jarrett was with Lance Russell and Dave Brown as he had a few important messages to tell the USWA fan base. First, he was very excited to announce that USWA has been negotiating with some major television stations around the country and will now be syndicated in many of the major markets. He explained that this would not only bring the best wrestling in the world to so many new fans but would also allow the USWA to host shows in many new venues including St. Louis and Kansas City. Next, Jarrett admits that the USWA has fallen a bit behind the times and will begin to get into the Pay-Per View sector of wrestling with the first pay-per view coming around Halloween. He will have more on that later. As Jarrett was getting to his next point, a small, attractive (in a nerdy way) women dressed in a business suit came out. Lance: “Excuse me Miss. This is a live show, and you cannot be here right now.” Lady “Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Miss. Alexandria York, of the world-famous and extremely wealthy York family. I am the CEO of the York Foundation and I’ve recently partnered with a well-known wrestler who would like to remain nameless for now. This wrestler has come into a large amount of money and by large amount, I mean a very significant amount. He has asked me to come here today to buy your little company and in this briefcase, I have already drawn up the papers and all you have to do is sign on the dotted line. Jerry Jarrett: (smiling) “First of all Miss. York. Welcome to USWA Wrestling. I’m Jerry Jarrett, the CEO of this company. I do take offense to you calling the greatest wrestling organization in the World, “little” and I would also like to make it very clear to you that this company is not for sale! Miss. York “I had a feeling you would say that but when you see the amount we are prepared to offer, you might change your mind. And I would also like to warn you … that if you do not sell to us now, we are prepared to simply take it from you. So in my professional opinion, it is better to get something than lose everything. I will leave this document with you which contains our offer. I will be back next week to get your final answer. Think very carefully about what I’ve said. Miss. York hands Jerry Jarrett the folder and walks away. Jerry, Lance and Dave Brown are all a little stunned and just simply tilt their heads to the side in confusion. As we go to break, Jarrett opens the folder where he must have seen the offer and his eyes grow very wide! Tommy Rich continues to win and answers some difficult questions Tommy Rich, in a match that started and ended with a handshake, defeated “White Lightening” Tim Horner with the Thesz Press. After the match, Lance Russell confronted Tommy Rich about his not getting involved in helping Jerry Lawler who has recently been the victim of several attacks by the First Family. TR: “Lance, I made it quite simple why I am back in Memphis and that’s to wrestle in front of my hometown fans and to right some of the wrongs I’ve made. You just saw me wrestle Tim Horner and we had ourselves a nice, clean match. I told Jerry Lawler that if he ever needed my help, all he had to do was ask. So far, he hasn’t asked. He’s bad mouth me. He’s called me a liar. He said I can’t be trusted. I’m not going to go out of my way to help someone who doesn’t want my help. So, listen up Lawler… if you want my help, like I said, I’m here for ya. If you want to fight… we can do that to. Just let me know! Lance Russell announces the Main Event for this Monday in the Midsouth Coliseum It’s going to be Jerry “The King” Lawler, Superstar Dundee, & The Southern Boys vs The First Family (Eddie Gilbert, HTM, Greg Valentine and Jim Neidhart) with both Jimmy Hart and Missy Hyatt. After a win against some local talent for HTM, the entire First Family was at the podium where Jimmy Hart, wearing a neckbrace and was all fired up! Jimmy Hart: “Superstar Bill Dundee… Southern Boys… you all must feel pretty good about yourselves. I mean Tracy Smothers and Steve Armstrong… you come out and interfere in my match which allows that midget Bill Dundee to hit me with a piledriver…. A piledriver! I’m not a wrestler… I’m a manager…. Dundee was trying to kill me…. And then he tells that snot-nosed punk …. Brian “ummm” Christopher to come over and pin me. I mean come on… who would ever believe that someone like Christopher could be me!!! Ridiculous Baby! And then the Southern Boys come out again and cost my man Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert, the World Title!!! Lawler has cheated his way to the top for the last time. So now Jarrett signs this 8-Man tag match for this Monday… I hope you don’t think The First Family is scared baby! This is our chance to take out not only Lawler but his crony Bill Dundee and the Fake Southern Boys all at once!!! Lawler the end is near!!! Later in the show, we get promos from the Southern Boys, Dundee and Lawler and they are just as pumped up for the match as the First Family was. Lawler also seemed to have trouble getting Tommy Rich out of his head as he told Lance to tell Tommy for the last time, to stay out of his way! The Breaking of Kafabe? While Brian Christopher did not wrestle on today’s show, he did get an interview. Lance Russell wanted to talk to him about getting his fist true win in the USWA after he pinned Jimmy Hart in his tag match with Superstar Bill Dundee against Hart and Honk Tonk Man. Christopher was very humble and did give all the credit to Superstar Bill Dundee. Suddenly this interview was interrupted by Honky Tonk and Jimmy Hart (still in his neck brace) Jimmy Hart: “Whoa, Whoa Whoa… What’s going on here Lance. Hundreds and hundreds of wrestlers get their first win every year and they don’t get an interview. Is it because Brian Christopher got a tainted win over me… “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart? I know Jerry Jarrett hates me… I know Jerry Lawler hates me… I know they want to make a mountain out of a mole hill. They want people out there in TV land to think I lost to you Brian… Uhhh… Christopher but the folks that where in the Midsouth Coliseum know it was only because of the Southern Boys…. But back to the real issue… Why is a person with one career win getting interview time on this week’s program… Seems a big waste of time to me baby. Brian… do you want to tell everybody what’s going on. Brian remains silent…. Honky Tonk Man: “Lance… Jerry Jarrett… Jerry Lawler… I won’t touch Brian Christopher today. But, honestly folks…. It’s time you know. I mean week after week, the First Family has come out here and beat this young nobody to an inch of his life. It’s time to ask yourselves why? If you’ve been in Memphis as long as I have, you know the truth…. Brian Christpher…. You know the truth. Show up here again, and everybody will know the truth.” Brian Christopher puts his head down as Lance tries to use his words to protect the youngster. Lance: “Alright that’ll be about enough of this. You two have no business getting into someone’s private life.” HTM: (looking at Christopher) “You’ve been warned!” The Tag Team Division Gets Deeper This week, we saw the debut of a new, wild and violent tag team Southern Justice who were led to the ring by none other than Wild Bill Irwin! This team of Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce weighed in at a combined weight of nearly 600 pounds but it was more their attire than their size that sent a chill through the spines of the studio audience. They came with bandanas covering their face, black hats, and large bull ropes with metal attached to the end. These two combined with Wild Bill nearly killed the two local jobbers they were facing. After the match, Southern Justice made it a point to explain that Southern Justice means solving your own problems and they were about to solve their biggest one… The Southern Boys! They did not respond when Lance asked why they had a problem with Steve Armstrong and Tracy Smothers. Also, the Steiners and Grapplers both won matches this week and hyped up their USWA World Title match this Monday at the Coliseum. Skandar Akbar, the manager of the Grapplers, said a few weeks ago that his Devastation Inc was all about winning titles and thus far, he has come up empty. Akbar is not a patient man and has already fired numerous stable members. He has warned the Grapplers that this is their last shot or else they will be unemployed!! Madusa introduces her man! A few weeks ago at the Great American Stampede, Madusa paraded her new man around the ring during the USWA Tri-State Title Match (Now the USWA World Tag Team Title) where the couple seemed to put both Eddie Gilbert and Jeff Jarrett on notice. Well this week, Madusa introduced her man, Stunning Steve Austin to the USWA fans where they both made it quite clear that her man is the future of professional wrestling and they don’t care if its people like the First Family or people like Jeff Jarrett, and that Stunning Steve Austin will soon be the face of USWA Wrestling… and what better thing to showcase the face of the organization then by winning the World Television Title! Dutch & The Angel of Death return from their suspensions! Dutch and the Angel of Death were suspended last week for failing to follow the stipulations of their match at the Great American Stampede. After “The Missouri Tiger” Jeff Gaylord defeated the AOD, he was to get 5 minutes with Dutch Mantel but Dutch ran away after this happened. Not only were the two suspended, but their wages were given to Gaylord! This had Dutch fuming! Dutch Mantel: “All I’m going say is that what Jerry Jarrett did last week was illegal. He has no right to take my money and give it to somebody else. I have contacted my lawyers and they have promised me that Jerry Jarrett will pay! This brought out Jerry Jarrett. Jerry Jarrett: Let me tell you this Dutch… I can do what I want. I can fire you for breach of contract. I can suspend you without pay. I can give Jeff Gaylord a raise… I’m not sure what type of lawyer you went to but I’m sure he was a crook just like you. Now, I have some more news for you that you won’t like! You and the Angel of Death will meet Jeff Gaylord this week in the Midsouth Coliseum with a partner of his choosing. If you fail to follow the terms of this contract, your services will no longer be needed here in the USWA! Dutch was fuming but out of options. He will be there on Monday night! Awesome work here with WrestleRock! You put a lot of time and effort into this and it really shows!! For me, the biggest bouts of the first night were the Muraco/Jumbo cage match. So well done and so suspensful. Also. talk about suspense... The Hangman vs Snowman! I was really looking forward to this one and now I can't wait to see what is really going on here. Next, Colon and Debeers! I new this was going to be a war. Wonder after the DQ if we will get another brawl between this two. I love how you have used Colon during his stay in the AWA! In real life, I have never known exactly what to make of Terry Taylor. Big babyface in the UWF, arrogant heel in WCW and a clown in the WWF but I could not wait to see who he was to face here.... WOW.... Stan Hansen... Poor Terry Taylor. Great job! And then the main event for Night 1... the RnR Express vs the Enforcers.... now looking more like the new Horsemen! Nice job bringing in Tully! On to Night 2: I enjoyed the matchup and the description of Mike Graham and Ron Garvin... loved the no music for the no nonsense duo. Love... Love... Love the paring of Dr. Tom and the Nature Boy.... Great job! Great story line between Buzz and Cactus... if this is finally over, it was a great ride! Perfect way to develop Cactus! Also, I am really enjoying your use of El Canek... Big win over Bundy and bigger win for the fans when he press slammed Greg Gagne! And the Flair era begins... sometimes the chase is bigger than the title reign. Hogan is really set to draw big crowds as he goes back after Flair. AWESOME EVENT

The figures are back!!!!! Great event. I really liked how you pushed all the new talent to help set you up for the future... Sid... The Return of Sting, etc. I also liked how you had so many clean finishes. Just my thought but a house show is to continue to build an angle but the pay per view is, in most cases, to put someone over and move to the future. Great job!! Looking forward to what;s next with Luger, Sting, Sid and Muta. All seem poised for something big!!

Enjoying the build of Shane Douglas. He has been around a while and now finding his grove. Eaton would be a great guy to put anybody over. Nice booking. Really nice match right-up of Dibiase abd Piper as this feud has some real legs! Can't wait for the next one. Piper is so good and getting the fans to show up as he is priceless on the mic!! Wrestling Deseret Storm looks like a wild night of action!!

MIDSOUTH COLISEUM: JULY 14 “Nature Boy” Buddy Landel defeated “White Lightening” Tim Horner with the Figure 4. In some behind the scenes information, Jerry Jarrett was paying Buddy Landel back before sending him on his way. Buddy helped out USWA by doing some jobs of late as he helped to put over both Kerry VonErich and Superstar Bill Dundee. Tommy “Wildfire” Rich defeats The Assassin (Don Bass) with the Lou Thesz Press. The Assassin did a good job of getting a lot of heat by not only using some dirty tactics but also antagonizing the fans every chance he got and by not only berating ref Tommy Weathers but by getting nearly DQ’ed after being a little physical with Weathers. All of this helped to get Wildfire over in a place where he has not always been on the side of the fans. Southern Title Match: Randy “Macho Man” Savage with Miss. Elizabeth defeated Iceman Parsons with the flying elbow drop in a match that saw both men do a good job of bumping and selling. The fans were on their feet after a Big Butt Bump but Macho Man escaped and ultimately defeated Iceman for the win. Macho Man was better behaved in terms of his treatment of Miss. Elizabeth, but he still yelled at here to get the ropes for him on both his entrance and exit. Big Bossman defeated “The Bounty Hunter” Dick Slater with the powerslam. Unlike Slater’s recent USWA World Title shot against Jerry Lawler where there was quite a bit of technical wrestling, this one was all elbows, kicks, punches and slams! Slater held his own in the brawling department but once Bossman got his hands on Slater and started with the power moves, his size was too much for Slater. Southern Tag Team Title Match: Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart & Greg “The Hammer” Valentine © with Jimmy Hart defeated the Southern Boys (Armstrong & Smothers) in this return title bout as Jimmy Hart cracked Smothers over the head with the microphone which allowed The Hammer to connect with a big middle rope elbow drop. Grudge Match: Superstar Bill Dundee & Brian Christopher defeated The Honky Tonk Man & Jimmy Hart with Missy Hyatt in a bit of chaos. Throughout the entire match, Jimmy Hart had refused to get in the ring and Eddie Gilbert had to wrestle 2-1. HTM, upsetting to the fans, was holding his own. Somehow, HTM managed to connect with The Shake Rattle and Roll on Brian Christopher and seemed to have the win. This is when Jimmy Hart started jumping up and down, demanding to get tagged in. HTM gave in to his manager and tagged him in. Suddenly, the Southern Boys, who Jimmy Hart had just cost the tag titles, rushed to ringside. HTM turns to them as and they start pushing him back and forth. Jimmy Hart covers Brian Christopher…1….2…WHAM! The save by Superstar Dundee. Dundee grabs Jimmy Hart and connects with the PILEDRIVER!!! Hart is convulsing in the center of the ring as ref Tommy Weathers demands Dundee to exit the ring! Dundee screams to Christopher and points to Jimmy Hart! Brian Christopher scampers over and covers “The Mouth of the South.” 1…2….3!! Brian Christopher gets his first win by pin in the USWA and it is against none other than Jimmy Hart! USWA World Title Match: Jerry “The King” Lawler © defeated Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert (No Jimmy Hart) with Missy Hyatt by DQ as the entire First Family (HTM, Anvil & Hammer) rushed the ring to attack Lawler who seemed to have overcome the treachery of Hyatt and Gilbert and was climbing the middle rope for the fist drop! The attack seemed to go on a bit longer than usual; as maybe the other wrestlers were showering as this was the main event. Finally, when the Southern Boys and Dundee rushed the ring, the sides evened out and the fan favorited made a comeback. Many fans were heard saying they saw Tommy “Wildfire” Rich hanging out by the ramp but there was no camera that showed him. Fans were arguing that Wildfire should have come out to help Lawler if he was really back in Memphis for the reasons he claims but others were heard saying Wildfire did the right thing in staying back as Lawler made it clear on tv that the King did not want Wildfire anywhere near him!

As the others said, amazing job with the write-ups of each match. Thanks for all the hard work. I think I am finally getting the feel of the UWF as I am starting to have some confidence with my picks before I read the match, especially as we get to the matches later in the card.

Nice use of so many of your stars. A bit to see Abbie go down with a cross body block but I guess its hard to come up with a legit way for Pillman to go over someone as big as Abbie. Still can't wait for all the big matches you have coming up. Muta and Steamboat... Sting and Luger.... Road Warriors-Rockers

Looking forward to SNME! Great job with all the house shows. These are very realistic and what still brought in so much of the money in 1990. Are you using the real WWF schedule or just randomely picking places? Silver King seems to be getting a nice push here. I don't know too much about him but will go back and take a look. Nice job with him.

I must give you some well deservegets DQd credit. You take a lot of time and effort to develp all the young talent in our game. It has been nearly 6 1/2 months sense our draft and you have continously poured time and energy to get to the point where the young stars are just starting to develop. It is also very realistic as they are always in the match right up to the end. Some of have said they are "rushed" but if you had a wrestling promotion wouldn't you want your younsters to "look good" and have the vets teach them during the matches. Awesome job! On another note... great card from Portland. Dibiase, also very realistic, gets DQ'ed to save his title over the top contender in Winhdam. This keeps everyone strong and to earn another big pay day down the road. Nice job.

Week of July 12, 2025 After the regular opening, we get a 2 minute montage from the Great American Stampede where we see Superstar Dundee rushing to the ring to make the save on Brian Christopher who was taking an unnecessary beating from Honky Tonk Man, Jeff Gaylord being attacked from behind by Angel of Death just as he was about to get his hands on Dutch Mantel, Madusa parading a tall blonde man around the ring with both Hotstuff Eddie Gilbert and Jeff Jarrett looking at him, Greg Valentine hitting Tracy Smothers over the head with a chair, Randy Savage leaping from the top rope with an elbow to Mr. Perfect, Jerry Lawler connecting with a piledriver on Dick Slater and Tommy “Wildfire” Rich watching from the stands eating popcorn. Highlights from this week’s TV show: Tommy Rich defeats jobber Larry Cheatum but Wildfire is confronted during his post-match interview. Lance Russell: "Congratulations Tommy on a nice win. You’ve been on a roll since returning to the Memphis area. Tommy Rich: Thanks Lance…. Suddenly the crowd erupts as the USWA World Champion, Jerry “The King” Lawler comes out. Tommy Rich: Hey Jerry… nice to see you. That was a great win for last Monday night. I mean Dick Slater is one tough dude. Jerry Lawler: "Alright Tommy… enough of your nonsense. What are you doing back here in Memphis. You saw the video… what were you doing at the Midsouth Coliseum on Monday night. You weren’t wrestling? Tommy Rich: "Jerry… you know I’m a Tennessee boy. Why wouldn’t I be back in Memphis. You know as well as anybody that wrestling in your hometown town is such a thrill. And why was I at the matches the other night? I’ve been a fan my whole life and when I saw that card, I just had to be there. I mean to get the chance to see you and Dick Slater for the World title… Count me in. Jerry Lawler: “I told you once. Cut the nonsense. I am going to ask you once and I want a straight answer. Somebody put a bounty on my wrestling career. Was it you? Where you the one Dick Slater was talking about. Is that why you were at the Midsouth Coliseum on Monday… hoping to see my last match? To pay off Slater! Tommy Rich: “I told you when I first came back that you could count on my if you needed anything. I tried to put our differences behind me … and now you ask me this? You want the truth… Well I know a couple of things… I’ve been in this business now for over a dozen years and I’ve known both you and Dick Slater a long time. Two things are for certain… he’s always been more honest with me then you. He’s never stabbed me in the back before, but for whatever reason, you do it time and time again brother. I also know that I, a former World Champion myself, has earned enough money in this business to put out a bounty on you… but that’s not my style. I’m a straight shooter. If I got a problem with somebody, I tell them to their face. As I said when I first came back here, I don’t have a problem with you Lawler… at this moment! As Wildfire leaves the interview area, The King is heard saying, “ I don’t trust that guy as far as I could throw him.” -Jerry Jarrett dishes out some punishment For those of you who were at the Midsouth Coliseum, you saw Dutch Mantell avoid meeting “The Missouri Tiger” Jeff Gaylord after Gaylord pinned the Angel of Death. The Angel of Death proceeded to help Mantel escape the arena which was against the stipulations of the contract. For this breach of contract, the USWA has decided to suspend both Dutch Mantel and the Angel of Death for two weeks. Also, it has become abundantly clear that Mantell failed to pay the $270 he owed Gaylord for his time as Dutch’s bodyguard, so the USWA Board of Directors have decided to give Gaylord the $270 from Mantel’s first pay check he earns after his suspension is over. -Jerry Jarrett also renames the Tri-State Title Belt The USWA has decided to change the USWA Tri-State Title to the USWA World Television Title. The reason for this is the USWA is no longer wrestling in just 3 states therefore the belt has become somewhat obsolete. Also, the USWA wants to reward our fans at home that can’t always make it out to the arena with even more meaningful matches. Eddie Gilbert was presented with the title later in the show which led to a very arrogant promo from Gilbert, Missy Hyatt and Jimmy Hart. They were also very confident that Eddie Gilbert will be a double champ as Hotstuff will be facing Jerry Lawler for the USWA World Title this Monday at the Midsouth Coliseum. -“Superstar” Bill Dundee is fuming about the First Family’s treatment of Brian Christopher. Dundee was really upset about what Honk Tonk Man did to Brian Christopher last Monday night at the Midsouth Coliseum. This caused both Honky Tonk Man and Jimmy Hart to come out laughing and asking if Dundee is Christopher’s babysitter? Jimmy Hart, still laughing and wondering if Christopher’s daddy pays Dundee a good rate for watching him. HTM doesn’t think so because he bets Christopher’s father is a cheapskate! Dundee tells them to watch their mouths… in fact why don’t they put their money where their mouths are. Jimmy Hart, still laughing, ends up putting his foot in his mouth here as he says even he could beat Brian Christopher! Dundee quickly accepts the challenge and Hart is confused. Dundee announces that it will be Dundee and Brian Christopher vs HTM and Jimmy Hart this week in the Midsouth Coliseum. -Both the Southern Boys and the new Southern Tag Team Champions, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine win jobber matches and hype up their title rematch this week at the Midsouth Coliseum. -The main event had Eddie Gilbert and Dick Slater vs Jerry Lawler and Bossman which ended in a wild brawl as Jimmy Hart sent in the rest of the First Family (Anvil, Hammer and HTM) to attack the fan favorites but The Southern Boys and Superstar Bill Dundee made the save! -The rest of the card for this week at the Midsouth Coliseum: USWA World Title Match: Jerry “The King” Lawler © vs Eddie Gilbert Southern Title Match: Randy “Macho Man” Savage © vs Iceman King Parsons Big Bossman vs “Dirty” Dick Slater Tommy “Wildfire” Rich vs The Assassin “Nature Boy” Buddy Landel vs “White Lightening” Tim Horner

Great job getting all caught up so quickly. I think you have done an awesome job of creating a really balanced card. So many great midcard feuds have been set up and Fire on the Mountain will answer a lot of questionns as to who are the top guys in SMW! And then for me, it doesn;t get any bigger in Tennessee or Alabama then a Fuller and an Armstrong. Really looking forward to the BIG SHOW!!
