  6. I had it at 3 1/2* and 3rd best match of the show for anyone that might care
  7. Because it's on MLW & it seems like only people outside of the PWO type bubble actually get their premium content.
  8. The Kendrick v Nese match continuing on the Kendrick story of really looking for any short cut he can take is so much fun & such a breath of fresh air on a tourney where everyone is shaking hands & showing respect. Tozawa reminded me with his angry, confused, & grumpy facials of why it's so easy for him to get over wherever he goes.
  9. I was at DBD live for both nights big take aways for myself were that firstly that ROH workers are very light the forearm exchange between Silas & Shibata was night & day, secondly that Shibata is a surprisingly big worker for a guy that has such a straight forward wrestling style he seemed very hampered by the smaller ring by night 2 with Fish he didn't have as many issues but in that match with Silas most of his spots you could just feel he would have been more comfortable with a few extra feet. All in all it felt like Hangman Page was meant to be the most on the rise guy coming out of the weekend but to me and everyone I spoke with it was clearly Lio Rus. Dijak, Pretty Boy Killers, & Punishment Martinez are all fantastic as squashing jobbers. Naito was clearly the most over guy on both days with Bullet Club/Adam Cole a close second nice as the biggest over act that is actually face was either the Briscoes, or KOR making me wonder how a feud between Cole & KOR can really build interest at this point as the crowd really seems to just like both guys & probably not care who wins or loses. All & all I think I picked a good 1st ROH live show to go to, the differences from the indie shows I'm use to will probably me a lot less jarring if I get a chance to go to one again.
  10. I like that Johnny said "heavy hitters" didn't see anything in Rusev in NXT yet I was pissing and moaning to anyone that would listen about them jobbed him to Ziggler in his redebut because I saw money in him.
  11. Yeah it was actually referenced on a Progress ch show that Pete and I reviewed and I meant to explain it as Jim said something along the lines of he's the ref that can count. They also use to do a voice cracking count on a number to mock Allen similar to the "SSSSSIX" that is now the plague of PWG.
  12. I read "Gargano" at first and almost lost my mind but upon rereading I ask it correctly, I could not agree with you more in his current incarnation Gallagher is a worker that you instantly have a reaction to and doesn't much more if any seasoning for the big time I'd say just point out where the cameras are and let him go. Also doesn't hurt that he's a shooter which Vince will always have a soft spot for.

    NXT talk

  14. Read it yeah that's such an odd throw away by Dave and the tense is unclear so unless something has changed the feeling was Riddle will be offered a WWE deal was he can prove to keep his nose clean. At this point he's a can't miss prospect that they would be smart to sign ASAP
  15. WWE passed on Riddle more based on him being green and his previous perchance for banned wellness policy substances. The word that went around was his involvement with Evolve was in someways seen as a provisional development deal.
  16. I love Haskins & Cedric it feels like that match was booked for me, This year I'm so concerned that it's going to be impossible to get tix which is really bumming me out hugely. On the positive side all 3 nights are going to be amazing with so much great talent.
  17. I feel like such a bad podcaster but I've been so far behind I still haven't actually listened to the 1st and 2nd fall but I look forward to this.
  18. He was phenomenal in the 4-way on Killers Among Us a match I believe Dylan and I agreed on as most likely spotfest of the year
  19. Okay thanks I had seen a bit of IPW:UK stuff when it was happening so I know it's quality I'm not hoping to see this Chris Brookes v Hero match so I was thinking if it's going to show up on RPW on demand that would be great because I already have it looks like not so I'll be looking to sub at least a month to IPW:UK service, huzzah to too many streaming services!!
  20. TP Cap, I've seen people online some what in to Garrett for awhile based mostly on his cool flips but to the broader RPW fans he's still a bit of an unknown? It really is odd to me that Redman failed in NXT as he really does fit the model of what they were looking for but I guess it's not that way anymore. I get the attacks on UK companies for putting over imports more strongly than local guys but I think when you have ever title on a strong Euro wrestler it's not a big deal anymore. I haven't dipped to deeply into it but the RPW on demand includes the IPW:UK stuff? I ask because I was looking into the IPW:UK on demand service earlier today seems odd it would be on both what's the break down? are only old IPW:UK shows on RPW on demand while the new stuff is on the IPW:UK service?
  21. This match got me even more excited for KOR v Riddle I know Roddy is great but KOR is an even more perfect fit. This is easily MOTYC
  22. I don't disagree with RPW putting there guys over it felt to me that Moose isn't a "starting to get your steam back" win as Sha has been really a chicken shit only wins by cheating heel for a long time at this point. I would have like to see Sha build up his credibility a bit more before he's standing toe to toe with Moose but they obviously just didn't have the time. As Moose is gone after this. One question for someone that's actually at the shows, are Redman and Garrett over with the life crowd?
  23. It could be but none of those guys are at that level yet even Alexander who was massively bumbled in ROH felt like a bigger star than any of those guys you listed do at the moment not see say they can't get there. An issue I just recently thought of was Lio Rush the guy was super hot off the ToPT and the match with Lethal and now he seems to be in mexico more than ROH when he was meant to have signed some type of contract. Rush could easily be at the level of say a Moose or Alexander at this point no question if he was just on the TV and PPVs.
  24. His ability to work match to match building on his character really stands out in modern wrestling world his rise in PWG is an example of this as he came in unknown and by slowly fighting and winning bigger and bigger matches with a small package he started to get to the point he was the most over face in the company leading to his title match with Roddy, then he showed an intelligence and wisdom beyond his years and he started to hint at a heel turn as the crowd started lose their fervor for him, but it wasn't just "Hey I'm a bad guy now" he slowly started to use more heelish tactics and even found a way to switch his music (something fans at home don't get to see) from upbeat dance music to born in the USA in a way that felt organic as he did it in a match with ZSJ who is from the UK and then just stuck with it as the crowd was having a Pavlovian response to his original song and would always pop for it now he comes out to a chorus of boos. This may seem small but that kind of move that is calculated but comes across as something that just happened is what the acclaim is for Trevor Lee he just gets the important stuff about wrestling that is dying the part that's about working the marks so they do what you want and they react the way you want them to not the other way around. Meanwhile in CWF where Trevor had already built him self up past the level he was in PWG he was honing his craft as the face/ace of a company being the guy that can carry a long main event that after it's over you feel like you just saw a match that mattered as the cherry on top of a soild show. Keep in mind he's a "spot guy" in TNA as well with the X-division champion and I think you start to see the picture forming of why people are comparing him to Bryan Danielson as he is a well rounded working pulling off every possible spot on cares all over the country and world. Then you have him as a plucky upper mid card act in Evolve showing that he can keep up with Catch Point or guys like Fox & Swann. That's just the big stuff he also always has solid good to great performances in wXw, AIW, AAW, Beyond, CZW, FIP, Smash, Omega (had another great championship run), FIP and others that I haven't even seen.
  25. Kincaid v Dijak was insanely good, Kincaid is really a guy that ROH should already have snatched up and seeing Dijak get to show what he's capable of in a ROH match is a nice change. One take away I had from the match which is not even a negative but, more of a contemplation, from my personally experience with both guy's work this match could have been even better with Kincaid working heel and Dijak as face although it would take a lot to get past the size different to really make it work without more character development for Kincaid going into the match.
