Wrestling 2 bounces back from his tv loss to Snuka with a big win over Greg Gagne. Buzz Sawyer vs. Missing Link was surely a hard hitting affair the big push of Bull Gantner has seemingly cooled off, however Peterson is getting some of the biggest wins of his career here in the project. Mark Youngblood is really shining recently.....looking forward to seeing where this goes.

The tag team scene is hot in the WWF right now and even more so with the recent addition of the Rougeau Brothers! I'm enjoying the 'Dr. D' and Hogan feud right now....great way for Shultz to get at Hogan via his "buddy" Hillbilly Jim.
-
Prichard was great with Riddle, but I feel like having him with JJ will help elevate to a "Tully Blanchard" type level here JCP. Nice wins for Kerry and Sweet Brown Sugar here. Big victory for the Pistols....Ivan Koloff may have crossed the wrong guy in Bad News!
-
Man, the Arn vs. Tito match just stands out to me as a perfect TV main event. Great card from MSG with Savage vs. Flair on top...and the Horsemen, Hogan, and Andre getting involved. Hogan shows his tough side surviving a bloodbath with Dr. D! HUGE WIN for Muta....this is going to be fun following his career in the WWF Nice win for Bret over the veteran Muraco

UWF Power Pro Wrestling Airing via syndication across the U.S. Civic Auditorium Pensacola, FL. Taped on 10/1/86 Airing on 10/3/86 (Highlights from Memphis, TN are shown of Nikita Koloff capitalizing on the injury of Magnum TA to win the UWF World Championship in the Steel Cage…..we then cut to the following night in Nashville, TN where Jerry Lawler was facing King Kong Bundy where Nikita Koloff (who was not booked on the card) came out of the crowd and helped Bundy double team Lawler and sent him out on a stretcher……We then go to the opening montage and over to Jim Ross and Ron Fuller) Ross: "Hello and welcome once again to UWF Power Pro Wrestling and you just saw some the disgusting actions of Devastation Incorporated in Tennessee last weekend that landed the UWF World Championship around the waist of Nikita Koloff and landed Magnum TA and Jerry 'the King' Lawler on the injured list." Fuller: "Disgusting?? I didn't see anything disgusting, what I saw was smart and now we have a superior athlete as the UWF World Champion." Ross: "That's your opinion Ron, but most fans do not agree with that….however another superior athlete will be challenging for that title when 'Dr. Death' Steve Williams takes on Nikita Koloff in St. Petersburg tomorrow night." Fuller: "Well, I assume that Mr. Williams will meet the same fate as his buddy Magnum TA." (Dr. Death Steve Williams storms the set) Williams: "Oh is that what you ASSUME Mr. Fuller?? Well I can tell you right now you assume wrong buddy. Nikita Koloff is going to find out why they call me Dr. Death! But before we get to St. Petersburg, right here TONIGHT in Pensacola, I want King Kong Bundy in the ring to get some revenge for Magnum for Bundy injuring his ribs and being the real reason he lost his UWF World Championship!" (and with that Dr. Death storms off) Ross: "Well Tennessee Stud, there you have it from Dr. Death and right now let's go to the ring!" MATCH #1: "Hacksaw" Butch Reed pinned 'Big' Bubba Monroe after a flying shoulder tackle COMMERCIALS (General Skandar Akbar and Nikita Koloff lead the way for Akbar's new tag team from the Soviet Union, The Moscow Machines, Jim Ross on commentary adds, "these guys are allegedly Nikita's 'comrades' from Russia, however I have my suspicions about whether or not these guys are from Moscow" Fuller responded with "Jimmy, look at the hammers and sickles on their tights there…obviously these boys are from Russia and don't you dare go speculating otherwise!") The Moscow Machines (#1/#2) w/Gen. Skandar Akbar defeated Randy Watson/Dewey Cox after #2 pinned Watson following the backbreaker/elbow drop combo (Bruce Prichard is at ringside and welcomes 'Gorgeous' Jimmy Garvin and Precious) Bruce: "Jimmy, it's good to see you here in the UWF and I understand you've somehow managed to step to the front of the line and you're getting a shot at Terry Taylor's North American title tomorrow night in St. Petersburg." Garvin: "Yeah….yeah….yeah….yeah Brucie! I'm able to step to the head of the line because I'm the top wrestler in North America and who else is more fitting to challenge Terry Taylor for that title??" Bruce: "Well, I certainly would argue that point, I've always been impressed with your talents along with your lovely wife, Precious." Garvin: "I can only imagine how excited these fans of the UWF are to know they are about to have a North American Champion they can be proud of and enjoy looking at….." (Eric Embry appears) Embry: "OH MY GOD……Jimmy….Patti….It's so good to see you two…..how many years has it been since we've seen each other??" Precious: "Years?? Eric….it's literally been a couple of months….you know….in Lutte…." Embry: "Loot? Oh yeah, Canada……seems like forever ago….anyway, how the hell how have yall been?? It's great we all ended up here in the UWF…..we'll have those tag titles in no time at all." Garvin: "Eric….look it's good seeing you and all….and we had a great run in Texas, no doubt….but this time it's about me…..I'm going for the North American Championship, ok……so good luck and we'll catch ya later man." (Garvin and Precious turn and leave as Embry starts to follow them) Embry: "Hold up guys, there's a great place right down the road for chimichangas……seriously…wait up!" COMMERCIALS UWF North American Champion Terry Taylor pinned The Libyan after a 'five arm' forearm smash (We see footage of Magnum TA in the gym with his ribs taped up as he's struggling to work out, he's approached by Lance Russell) Lance: "Magnum, I know this is a tough time for you….you're injured, your championship was stolen from you….what's the outlook for your return to the ring?" Magnum: "First of all Lance, it's going to take more than a fat humpty dumpty looking slob breaking my ribs to stop me…..the Doctors say I should stay out of the ring for 90 days but there's no chance in hell that's happening….'Cowboy' said he wouldn't book me this weekend in Florida but Lance I can promise you whether I have a match or not….I'll be closer than Nikita and Bundy think…..and if I get half a chance I'll my hands on them and get some revenge!" UWF Television Title Tournament Round 1 Match: Dick Murdoch pinned Jeff Jarrett with his feet on the ropes (A highlight package airs showing everything that's been going on in the tag team division recent months featuring The Midnight Express, The Rock & Roll Express, and The Fabulous Ones) MAIN EVENT Grudge Match Steve "Dr. Death" Williams pinned King Kong Bundy w/Gen. Skandar Akbar with the 'Oklahoma Stampede' powerslam Ross: "Ron Fuller….I can't believe that Stan 'the Lariat' Hansen is here and he's on the side of 'Dr. Death' Steve Williams….this is a game changer in the war with Devastation Inc. and fans we'll see you back here next week for more Power Pro Wrestling!" © 1986 Universal Wrestling Inc.

Wow, Mid-Atlantic comes out of the gate strong with a series of great shows. A lot to explain here with all the goings on in the NWA and I think you covered the bases quite well. Big John Studd makes for an interesting NWA World Champion and a much different one than the Mid-Atlantic Champion Orndorff which I think is a great call to distinguish the two. The Von Erichs are going to play a big role here in Mid Atlantic and it will be fun to see them outside of Fritz's bubble in World Class, Gary Hart has made his presence known and looks to be a force here in the Mid-Atlantic. I look forward to see how the tag team title scene unfolds in the near future. Glad to see Kerry vs. Dibiase will still happen at Starrcade!

What a way to open with Bret vs. Muta.....nice win for Muta. Count me in as enjoying the "Dr. D" attack on the Hulkster! Great stuff! Looking forward to the Main Event

Universal Wrestling Federation Mid-South Coliseum Memphis, TN. Saturday Sept 27, 1986 Bell time: 8pm U.S. Express (Mike Rotundo/Kendall Windham) defeated The Long Riders (Black Bart/Ron Bass) when Windham pinned Bart after a running bulldog "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel w/Jack Brisco defeated The Cuban Assassin with the figure four leglock Six Man Grudge Match "Dr. Death" Steve Williams/Ron Simmons/Butch Reed defeated Devastation Inc (Barbarian/Warlord/Samu) w/Gen. Skandar Akbar by DQ when Akbar pushed Reed off the top rope as he was going for the flying shoulder tackle #1 Contender's Match The Rock & Roll Express (Ricky Morton/Robert Gibson) fought The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn/Stan Lane) w/'Big Cat' Ernie Ladd to a double count out UWF North American Championship Terry Taylor pinned Lex Luger w/Baby Doll & Ernie Ladd with a school boy roll up to retain the title Special Challenge Match Jerry 'the King' Lawler pinned King Kong Bundy w/Gen. Skandar Akbar after a flying fist drop off the 2nd rope SEMI-MAIN EVENT Final Rematch UWF World Tag Team Championship The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton/Dennis Condrey) w/Jim Cornette defeated Jeff Jarrett/Brad Armstrong when Bobby pinned Jarrett after an 'Alabama Jam' off the top rope MAIN EVENT UWF World Championship STEEL CAGE MATCH (NO ONE allowed at ringside) Magnum T.A. Vs. Nikita Koloff Koloff took advantage of the injured Magnum right out of the gate as TA's ribs were heavily bandaged due to the multiple avalanches and splashes from Bundy on television this week…..the majority of the match was Koloff working over the injured ribs of Magnum eventually removing the bandages…..however the crowd really rallied behind Magnum and he mounted a comeback….and finally landed the belly to belly suplex…but the impact was severe to his ribs he couldn't pin Nikita, he instead rolled around on the mat in pain…..Koloff got back to his feet first….and as Magnum valiantly struggled to get to his feet, Nikita plowed through him with a brutal 'Russian Sickle'…..however, he didn't cover him…he backed up and stalked over Magnum until he finally managed to get to his feet again…and nailed him with a 2nd 'Russian Sickle'…..Koloff covers TA for the 1---2---KICKOUT by Magnum!!! Nikita is in total disbelief!! Koloff just loses it…and begins stomping away at the ribs of Magnum…..he then picks Magnum up and puts him in a brutal bearhug!! Magnum clearly has internal injuries and is beginning to spit up blood but refuses to submit…he seems to be fading but his arm stays up on the third time when the ref checks it until "Dr. Death" Steve Williams ran down to ringside and threw a towel in over the top of the cage and finally this match is over as the referee stops it….and declares the Nikita Koloff the NEW UWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION as the fans throw trash towards the cage as Nikita struts around the cage with the championship as 'Dr. Death' checks on his fallen friend Magnum T.A. -

UWF Power Pro Wrestling Airing via syndication across the US Barton Coliseum Little Rock, Ark Airing the weekend of 9/26 & 9/27/86 Filmed on 9/20/86 (Opening montage rolls and we then go to our hosts Jim Ross and the "Tn. Stud" Ron Fuller) Ross: "Hello and welcome to Power Pro Wrestling, I'm joined by the 'Tennessee Stud' Ron Fuller and we've got some great action lined up for this evening!" Fuller: "We sure do Jim Ross, I'm glad to be behind the microphone now and not having to face some of these bruisers we have competing here in the UWF." Ross: "Well, speaking of bruisers we'll see some in action tonight as Skandar Akbar's Devastation Incorporated, Barbarian and the Warlord will be in handicap tag team action and we'll also see the first match in the UWF World Television Championship tournament as Buddy Landel will face off against 'Dirty' Dick Slater." Fuller: "I think 'Dirty' Dick Slater is going to take the whole thing and go home the TV champion." Ross: "Well that remains to be seen, Stud…..but right now let's go to the ring and see Wahoo McDaniel in action." Match #1: Wahoo McDaniel pinned The Libyan after a knife edge chop COMMERCIALS (Bill Watts joins Lance Russell at ringside) Russell: "I'm joined by the President of the Universal Wrestling Federation, 'Cowboy' Bill Watts and I understand you have a big announcement about our big main event coming up in Memphis." Watts: "I sure do Lance…..We announced at the press conference that Ivan Koloff would be handcuffed at ringside to 'Dr. Death' Steve Williams, however…at a live event following that press conference Ivan Koloff attacked a referee with that big Russian chain he carries around and because of that, the UWF has suspended Ivan Koloff for 90 days and fined him $10,000!" (General Skandar Akbar comes to ringside with Nikita Koloff and King Kong Bundy) Akbar: "Try as you might Cowboy……you will not stop this man from fulfilling his destiny of becoming the UWF World Heavyweight Champion so I've negotiated a deal with Ivan Koloff to assume the contract of 'the Russian Nightmare' Nikita Koloff and he will now be a part of Devastation Incorporated!" Watts: "Ok, Akbar….I had already heard rumblings this might be happening so rather than handcuffing YOU to 'Dr. Death' and running the risk of the other members of Devastation Inc interfering….I'm going to make this World Championship match a STEEL CAGE MATCH!!" Bundy: "It doesn't matter….put it in a cage….make it any kind of match you want….this man is going to take the title from Magnum TA, the same way I'm going to destroy Jerry Lawler!" (Magnum TA and Jerry 'the King' Lawler come to ringside) Lawler: "Now hold up there Tubby! That's big talk coming from you two…..but there's no reason we have to wait until we get to Memphis….how about right here tonight, Magnum and myself face the two of you in a tag team match right here in Little Rock!! How does that sound Magnum?" Magnum: "That sounds great to me, King! You two can get a little preview of the beating you're going to get in Memphis in the house the King built!" Watts: "Akbar, what do you say? Your boys have the guts to accept this challenge??" Akbar: "My boys accept your ill conceived challenge, Lawler……we'll see you in the ring." Match #2: Handicap Match Devastation Inc. (Barbarian/Warlord) w/Gen. Skandar Akbar defeated Sammy Hall/Josh Holley/Chris Kilgore after Barbarian pinned Holley following a diving headbutt off the top rope COMMERCIALS (Promo: Ernie Ladd, the Fabulous Ones, Lex Luger, and Baby Doll are in the back with Lance Russell) Lance: "Ernie, these guys have a shot at becoming #1 Contenders to the UWF World Tag Team Championships held by the Midnight Express with Jim Cornette" Ladd: "Lance Russell, my boys are already the #1 Contenders to ALL the tag team titles in the world but when they beat those two teeny bopper wannabes the Rock & Roll Express…..then the Midnight Express will face off with the greatest team in professional wrestling….the Fabulous Ones and if that little weasel Jim Cornette sticks his nose in it….I will personally deal with him." Doll: "and while you guys are working towards taking the World Tag Team titles, big Lex here will be taking Terry Taylor's UWF North American Championship in Memphis." Lex: "Terry Taylor….congratulations on becoming the North American Champion, unlike myself who was unceremoniously stripped of my Southern title….but it's ok because I'm going to take that North American championship and put it around my perfectly sculpted waist…..and after that…Magnum TA, I'm coming to take on the world!" Match #3: The Rock & Roll Express (Ricky Morton/Robert Gibson) defeated The Hammer Brothers (Jack/Sledge) when Morton pinned Sledge after a double dropkick COMMERICIALS Match #4: Match 1 of the 1st Round of the UWF World Television Title Tournament "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel w/Jack Brisco defeated "Dirty" Dick Slater by DQ when Brisco pointed out that Slater had pulled out a chain to referee Tommy Gilbert and Gilbert dq'd him (Cowboy Bill Watts is joined at ringside by the Junk Yard Dog) Watts: "Ok JYD, you pulled me aside earlier today and told me you had something very important you wanted to tell me but you wanted to do it out here in front of all the great fans here in Little Rock." JYD: "That's right Bill, there's been a lot on my mind recently…..I know ever since I've returned to the UWF from Texas, the fans realize it's not the same JYD from before…..the grind has taken it's toll on the Dog….I've suffered some injuries that I haven't let heal…..and I've let that keep me out of the gym and it's shown in the ring…..in these past few weeks I've lost matches to people I shouldn't have lost to because I haven't been competing at the level these great fans are used to…..and Bill, looking in the mirror I refuse to come out here and give these fans less than what they paid for….and that's to see the best rasslers in the world compete……so I think it's time the Dog went home for a while……and get back to 100%.....and when I return…..it's going to be the old Dog……it's going to be the old Dog with some new tricks and I'm going be looking for some gold to go around this waist." Watts: "There you have it from JYD, he says it's time to go home and get back to 100% and before you know it, he'll be right back in that ring….in a town near you!" (Camera cuts to Jim Ross and Ron Fuller) Ross: "Ron, I don't know about you but I think it takes a big man to recognize when he's lost a step or two and I think this hiatus will serve the Dog well, what are you thoughts?" Fuller: "Self awareness isn't a common trait in pro wrestling or life in general…..I think it's great that the Dog realizes he can't cut it anymore and I hope the old Dog just decides to stay on the porch rather than coming back to further embarrass himself and the few fans he has left." Ross: "As usual….the 'Tennessee Stud' has a unique take on things and I strongly disagree with those statements, JYD has plenty left in the tank and when he returns I think he's going to be better than ever and I for one can't wait for his return. Now, it's time to head to the ring for our huge main event!" MAIN EVENT Nikita Koloff/King Kong Bundy w/Gen. Skandar Akbar vs. Jerry 'the King' Lawler/Magnum T.A. A solid main event that went through two sets of commercials before things got out of hand and all four men were in the ring battling, Magnum was getting ready to hook Nikita for a belly to belly suplex but Akbar climbed up on the ring in the corner, as this was happening Bundy tossed Lawler over the top rope causing a DQ, but Magnum caught Akbar in the corner and was about to knock him out as Bundy charged and gave Magnum an Avalanche to the back in the corner…….before T.A. could crumble to the mat, Akbar grabbed him by the hair and held him up….allowing Bundy to him with two more Avalanches in the corner before Akbar and let go and Magnum crumbled to the mat, after he hit the mat…Bundy hit him with two big splashes before Lawler hit the ring with a steel chair running off Bundy, Koloff, and Akbar…..Jim Ross is losing it on commentary Ross: "FANS….THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE….THE CARNAGE…WHAT KIND OF PHYSICAL CONDITION WILL MAGNUM TA BE IN FOR HIS TITLE DEFENSE AGAINST NIKITA TOMORROW NIGHT IN MEMPHIS!?!?! WE'RE OUT OF TIME, WE'LL SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!!!" © 1986 Universal Wrestling Inc. -
Fit Finlay and Ronnie Garvin is certainly a dream match and a great note for him to leave on. What a main event and a great title defense for Steamboat!!
-
Super Vader is my new favorite wrestler! Ricky Steamboat vs. Bob Orton is an awesome main event, they had one of my all time favorite matches on one of the old Best of the WWF Coliseum Videos.
-
Big win for Hector and Dundee as well. Solid card across the board but a great main event to top it off!

All sorts of excitement happening in JCP, some fun match ups already happening...can't wait to see what happens with the championships. -
(Live from the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, TN, Bill Apter approaches the podium….on one side sits 'Cowboy' Bill Watts and Jim Ross, on the other side sits "Tn. Stud" Ron Fuller and Magnum T.A.) Apter: "Hello everyone and thank you for attending today's press conference and right now without further ado, please welcome 'Cowboy' Bill Watts." Watts: "Good afternoon everybody. We've called this press conference to let everyone know about some big changes we're undergoing in the Universal Wrestling Federation. First, I want to say that it's unfortunate the turmoil that's gone on in the National Wrestling Alliance in the past several weeks. Promotions have folded, bookers have changed and the future of the NWA is quite unclear at this time. Due to all of this the UWF is officially withdrawing from the NWA and any UWF wrestler who holds an NWA championship officially forfeits it effective immediately. We no longer recognize the NWA World Championship and moving forward Magnum T.A. is officially the UWF World Heavyweight Champion. As we make this move the UWF is looking to expand and step to the forefront to compete with the other national promotions. We want to announce that we have a new television show in national syndication, 'UWF Power Pro Wrestling'. This show will debut next weekend in a market near you and will be hosted by Jim Ross and he will be joined by his co-host Ron Fuller. We're also happy to have Lance Russell as part of the broadcast team conducting interviews as well." Apter: "Bill, I understand that you also have a big show lined up here in Memphis at the Mid-South Coliseum on September 27th." Watts: "We certainly do. We'll bring the World Champion Magnum T.A. up to talk about that in a moment but first I want to mention that we're doing away with the Southern Heavyweight Championship, but we'll be replacing it with the UWF World Television Championship. We'll have a tournament starting on Power Pro Wrestling next weekend to crown the UWF World Television Champion. Magnum, step up to the podium and speak to the press." Magnum: "Thank you, Cowboy. I just want to say that I'm proud to be the UWF World Heavyweight Champion and I will defend this title with honor and integrity….." (At this point Ivan and Nikita Koloff crash the press conference and approach the podium as Bill Watts gets between the Russians and Magnum) Ivan: "If you have even one ounce of this so called honor and integrity you speak of…..you will agree to defend the title against my nephew Nikita next week here in Memphis!" Magnum: "Listen, after everything you two have done to me…I'll gladly defend the title against Nikita here in Memphis! All the Cowboy has to do is sign the contract and you can get your title shot and I'll get my revenge…..and Ivan, I'm going to have someone in my corner to make sure you don't interfere!" Watts: "You know what…I like that sound of that….so let's do it….next week at the Mid-South Coliseum in the Main Event for the UWF World Heavyweight Championship Magnum T.A. vs. Nikita Koloff with Ivan Koloff handcuffed to….." Magnum: " 'Dr. Death' Steve Williams!" (the Koloffs leave the podium seemingly unhappy at the announcement of Dr Death being handcuffed to Ivan) Watts: "Also on the card here in Memphis, we'll see a rematch for the UWF World Tag Team titles the Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette vs. Brad Armstrong/Jeff Jarrett, UWF Continental Champion Terry Taylor will defend against Lex Luger w/Baby Doll & Ernie Ladd, a #1 Contender's match with the Rock & Roll Express against the Fabulous Ones w/Ernie Ladd, and a Special Challenge Match with Memphis' own Jerry 'the King' Lawler taking on King Kong Bundy w/General Skandar Akbar. We looking forward to seeing you all soon in a town near you for great UWF action!"

Great use of the Battlebowl gimmick here furthering angles. I love Big John Studd being in the Studd Stable, I've always been a huge fan of Robert Fuller and his promo ability. Fun stuff with the St Clair finish and the special referee! -
Super Vader is going to be a force here. Douglas and Pillman have huge potential as a tag team as this stage of their careers....excited to see where this goes! Bob Orton in the main event defending a championship is the kinda thing this game is all about...I love it! Big fan of Kabuki as well.
-
I love the idea of Dr D coming after the bounty on Hogan! Great use of Owen Hart here with Muta, and a big win for Muta/Muraco! Andre is after Flair/the Horsemen....this should be really fun!
-
*****Breaking News***** Word coming out of the UWF is that 'Cowboy' Bill Watts will be holding a press conference this Sunday hosted by Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Bill Apter to make a huge announcement about some drastic changes happening in the UWF and a new television show that will be airing soon!
-
Tons of action on this show with a lot of star power...Sting, Luger, Giant, Flair, etc. Paul Heyman will not be happy seeing a cheese grater on a pole match on WCW.

ECW Extreme TV Airing the weekend of 9/7/95 (Rob Zombie Thunderkiss '65 opening montage rolls then cutting to Buh Buh Ray Dudley and Big Dick Dudley standing in front of the ECW banner) Buh Buh: "My name is Buh….Buh….Buh….Buh…." (We cut to Joey Styles in front of a different ECW banner backstage) Styles: "Ummm, while Buh Buh Ray Dudley is working on his intro, Hello and welcome to Extreme Championship Wrestling….and right out of the gate we go now to the ring to…….Paul Heyman?" (The fans in the ECW Arena are chanting 'EC-Dub…..EC-Dub…..EC-Dub" as Paul Heyman steps into the ring and takes the microphone from Joel Gertner) Paul: "It's been a very crazy few weeks in the world of wrestling……all of a sudden the NWA is trying to rise from the ashes after Shane Douglas cast their worthless belt aside and ushered in the era of extreme, and started a REVOLUTION that has swept the wrestling world…bringing the underground into the living rooms of wrestling fans all over the world….but now Dusty Rhodes has broke out a shovel and dug up the dead, lifeless carcass of the NWA to try and bring it back and make it mean something again….meanwhile this has stirred up the powers that be over in WCW and now Eric Bischoff thinks he has what it takes to take over wrestling with Ted Turner's checkbook……and of course lest we not forget about that cartoon bull**** promotion known as the WWF…" (suddenly before Paul can continue…a familiar voice comes over the house mic from out of the crowd we see Jim Cornette, Tommy Rich, Doug Gilbert, and Tracy Smothers) Corny: "Paul Heyman, how about for once you shut your mouth before we show you who ISN'T from a cartoonish bull**** promotion! For far too long you've come out here talking about your so called "revolution"…and how ECW invented "extreme"….You and I both know that's not the least bit true….what you've tried to pass off as "extreme"…..and what you call a "revolution" has been going on where we come from for 25 years and of course I'm talking about Memphis Wrestling! You didn't invent anything Paul, like everything else in your life and career…YOU STOLE IT!! You ripped it off from Memphis and brought it back up north where they've never in their life seen good wrestling!" Heyman: (who is now standing on the floor as Cornette and Company have taken over the ring) "Who in the hell do you think you are coming into the ECW ARENA and disparaging what these fans have helped us build?? Where in the hell do you get off coming here making accusations……" (Cut off by Gilbert) Gilbert: "I don't have to tell you who in the hell I am….you know who I am…..I'm Doug f***ing Gilbert the brother of the guy you ripped all of this off from! Corny said you stole all this from Memphis but the truth of the matter is you stole everything you've ever done from my brother 'Hot Stuff' Eddie Gilbert!! You rode all over the South with him for years making notes and then stole EASTERN Championship Wrestling out from under him and then stole all his ideas and now you try to portray yourself as some sorta genius when the truth is you're just a 2nd rate con man from New York that's never had an original idea in your life!" Heyman: "Memphis isn't extreme….hardcore…maybe, but not extreme!" Cornette: "Are you kidding me?? You mean to tell me the Moondogs weren't extreme?? Eddie Gilbert wasn't extreme?? Jerry Lawler?? Bill Dundee?? Onita??" Heyman: "Three words prove Memphis isn't extreme…..Jeff F***ing Jarrett!!" Cornette: "Well…I'll give you that one but…." (Perfect Strangers from Deep Purple plays over the PA as Shane Douglas and Dean Malenko make their way out to ringside) Cornette: "Shane, you forgot your skateboard, buddy." Douglas: "First of all….I'm not your goddamn buddy! Second of all, if you four hicks think you can stroll your ass into the ECW Arena and talk this kinda s*** and not suffer any consequences then you're dumber than your accents portray you to be." Rich: "Hey kid, ain't nothin' between us but air and opportunity….if you and that midget you got with ya wanna get in here and get your ass whipped…..then step right up, boy cause we farred up and ready to fight!!!" Douglas: "If we choose to…..Dean Malenko and myself could step in there and whip you USWA rejects just the two of us….but I was thinking….how about we make it an official match this weekend in Queens, New York….you three Memphis Goofs against the Triple Threat!" Cornette: "Well unless you still have Johnny Ace stuck up your ass, I only see a 'Double Threat'…" Smothers: "Hell Corny, I really don't see much of a threat at all…..I can't believe this is the best ECW has to fight their battles for them…" Gilbert: "Well….since Tommy Dreamer SOLD OUT and left this company high and dry I guess this is the best they've got….the 'Double Threat'." Douglas: "You don't worry about it…..we've got a brand new member of the Triple Threat and he'll be there in Queens and we'll send your sorry asses back to Memphis in a box!" ==================================== COMMERCIALS Promo for Saturday's Card in Queens, NY Extreme Championship Wrestling Lost Battalion Hall Queens, NY Saturday Sept 8, 1995 Bell Time: 8pm MAIN EVENT ECW World Championship The Sandman w/Woman Vs.
