Straight up rebuild. That's what I'd prefer, at least.

Top 100 (Predictions, regrets, how many fallen soldiers do you have?, etc..)
Scarlet-Left replied to Grimmas's topic in 2016
I made my predictions in the March Madness thread, but I'll add that I think Jack Brisco will be #100. I regret a lot of things; I regret the arbitrary nature of some of my orderings (and that I was unable to consolidate the few separate tracks of workers I was ranking more comfortably), I regret ranking Chris Jericho as high as I did, I regret not watching more footage (as in, not finding this place, and the GWE project, sooner), I regret not making sure all of my favourites were nominated, I regret not participating in the nominee discussions, I regret ranking Kurt Angle higher than Tommy Rich and Rick Martel, I regret ranking Jeff Jarrett higher than Del Wilkes and I regret not ranking Stan Hansen. Here's a full list of my drops: 5. Pat Patterson 7. Kana 8. Lex Luger 9. Shinobu Kandori 16. Terry Taylor 18. Buddy Landell 22. Sasha Banks 24. Ron Simmons 25. Steve Keirn 27. Io Shirai 29. Alberto Del Rio 30. The Rock 33. Mariko Yoshida 40. Alex Shelley 41. Tommy Rich 42. Kazuchika Okada 44. Austin Aries 45. Sting 47. Dean Malenko 49. Michael Hayes 51. Megumi Kudo 52. Kenny Omega 54. Larry Zybszko 56. Doug Williams 58. Arisa Nakajima 59. Jeff Jarrett 61. The Patriot 62. Bruno Sammartino 63. Edge 65. Butch Reed 66. Christopher Daniels 67. Devil Masami 69. Wahoo McDaniel 72. Joey Ryan 74. Raven 75. Mayumi Ozaki 76. Jake Roberts 79. Shane Douglas 80. Jaguar Yokota 82. El Mesias 83. Adrian Street 84. Tiger Mask 85. Stan Lane 86. Tarzan Goto 87. Davey Boy Smith 88. Dory Funk, Jr. -
I've been a high and low voter, so I don't think he's naming low voters. Which make sense, since a low vote doesn't really mean anything (it's still infinitely better than not ranking someone at all).

With Christian dropping, I now have an unbroken line of dropped guys from my #88 to to my #99.
-
Wahoo McDaniel, Jaguar Yokota and Sting; all come off my list. The next weekend's not going to be pleasant to me, is it?
-
It must have been a desperate fever dream.
-
I thought Brody had dropped.
-
Patterson is the first person from my top five to fall... and he fell behind Triple H... God is dead. We have killed him, you and I.
-
Forty-nine drops. I'm in hell!
-
Jake Roberts takes me up to forty-six! Has anyone else had there top quarter gutted as much as I have? 7. Kana 8. Lex Luger 9. Shinobu Kandori 16. Terry Taylor 18. Buddy Landell 22. Sasha Banks 24. Ron Simmons 25. Steve Keirn That's eight from my top quarter, and three from my top ten!
-
Up to forty-five now, with Ozaki! Are all the Japanese girls going to start dropping now?
-
I just popped back into to check out who'd dropped... damn... it hurts so much... one-two-three-four-five gut punch and I'm out! Tommy Rich, Bruno Sammartino, Kazuchika Okada, Butch Reed and, then, Devil Masami. Ouch! That takes me to forty-four drops.
-
Hurts to see Tanaka fall, though his placing is respectable. He was one of the first guys I regretted not voting for.
-
Conjecture: Fans of indie workers prefer high-fliers, smaller guys, better athletes. Maybe? I don't know. I ranked Aries and not Owens, but that's down to physique (which probably wasn't much of a factor for a lot of people).
-
People from my top fifty who've dropped: 7. Kana 16. Terry Taylor 18. Buddy Landell 22. Sasha Banks 24. Ron Simmons 25. Steve Keirn 27. Io Shirai 29. Alberto Del Rio 33. Mariko Yoshida 40. Alex Shelley 44. Austin Aries
-
Aries... another one bites the dust!
-
Come on? Surely not such a decent photo for Hardy!
-
Having seen your list, I can safely say you will have plenty of people who make the Top 100.
-
Thirty three now! Anyone else faring this poorly? I have a horrible suspicion that Flair will be the only one keeping me from a total wipe-out come number one hundred.
-
With Yoshida down, that brings me to thirty two drops.
-
Matches that would peak your interest ... What's on the table?

Okay, so there are a few separate tracks on my list, along with the standard criteria. So, often times, the ordering is arbitrary to within five places or so, whenever I fail to conclude a worker-for-worker comparison. The prime example being Steve Keirn and Io Shirai. They could trade places on my list and I'd be just as happy/unhappy about it. Fundamentally, however, Kana's high place on my ballot reflects the fact that I think she's cool, I get excited to watch her matches and that her character appeals to me. I'm a mark; I want her to win, and I feel satisfied when she does and bummed out when she doesn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=winntq3n6cA Watching her evolve into her character on NXT has, also, done wonders for her case; she stands out from her peers to an even greater extent now. Also, the fact that she has to avoid promos, means that she deserves extra credit for getting her character over with the audience and drawing people into her matches, based on body language and facial expression alone. I watch wrestling for the story. So, at the absolute least, a worker must have ability and character. Kana's ability is unmatched by her peers and her character is compelling (which is all the more impressive considering that her most recent opponent has one of the brightest characters on the show). With all that said, I can see the benefit of compiling a list on the basis of objectivity and restraint. And, I'm sure, once the results have come out, there'll be some kind of King James Version of the list; which takes account only of ballots submitted by the more trusted board members.
