Axel Tischer defends the wXw Unified World Wrestling Title Just watched this match posted on the wXw YouTube channel a few years ago. Hadn't seen much of Tischer pre-SAnitY so it was nice to have a little dive into his body of work prior. The match takes a while to pace itself a bit and it seems to happen once Eddie Edwards decides to work the match heel with the crowd obviously pro-Tischer. My favorite sequence in the match happens about midway when Edwards desperately tries to hit the Backpack Stunner on Tischer but on the 2 first occasions, Tischer locks in a rear naked choke on Edwards. Finally on the 3rd attempt, Edwards is able to hit it. Other nice sequence towards the end with Edwards sneaking in several machine gun chops to Tischer while Tischer does the same with those rapid fire head kicks with both trading momentum towards the very end. Tischer gets the win with his Sitout Powerbomb at the end but a really enjoyable match overall.

The only other show that TSN airs on their networks is Battle of the Belts but they often do it on tape delay. You would think that with 5 feeds, they could find room to air Collision instead of airing the same thing on 3 different feeds. Yeah, I'm gonna skip Rampage & Collision altogether once that the TSN+ free trial ends.

I don't know who told TK that it'd be a great idea to put the Ass Boys in Bullet Club Gold but this ain't it. Every time I think TK books the stupidest shit ever, he surpasses himself with someone like what we saw in the main event.

I remember making the 3 hour trip with friends to watch that show live. The atmosphere was electric, especially considering some of the other people who worked the card (Colt Cabana, Chris Sabin and B-Boy were also on that card). Pretty fun match as Joe found any way possible to physically brutalize Steen through the whole match until the run-ins from Franky The Mobster & Chakal to turn this into the main event tag match.
